5. An unknown place

I woke up to find myself in a jungle area, last thing I remember doing is pressing the teleport button. Right, so it worked. But my body still feels weak, seems like I haven't recovered the damage I received from last battle.

I managed to stand up, trying to look for signs of any living objects here. I sensed something coming at me, it's a forest wolf, way bigger than its usual size. I've never seen a wolf this big, it would be around 1.5 meters in hight.

I feel something weird as I unsheathe my sword, something feels off. I must be tired but there's no time to think about it, I noticed that the wolf was injured too, it had claw marks over its body. I could feel that it was starving, and unfortunately, I was its prey.

The wolf was wounded, and it seemed desperate to eat me. So I knew it'd do the first move, all I had to do was wait, and I did which felt like an eternity.

It stared at me with its bloodthirsty eyes, it seemed to want me to make the first move too.

I wait for the wolf's move. The wolf's look is pretty intimidating.

But, soon, in pure desperation, it lunged forward at full force!

I rolled sideways and stabbed at its legs, my sword was supposed to cut through its leg, but it couldn't. As I felt, something was off, this sword lost its enchantment.

In extreme agony the wolf pushed me back with a tremendous force. I flew back and hit a tree, with claw marks on my body, bleeding.

My sword got stuck in its leg, screaming in agony and pain while trying to remove my sword from its body.

It was now furious and I could tell from its eyes that it was ready to tear me apart.

But the wound it received from my sword was probably still causing pain which made the wolf keep standing in that place.

I lift up a big rock from ground, throwing it at the wolf with full force. A smile appeared in my face when the rock hit the wolf's face.

I thought the wolf took damage.

I thought the wolf wolf will go away now.

But all it did was make the wolf angry, the smile on my face disappeared and I was filled with despair

The rock did nothing, tears rolled down on my face and I was filled with the feeling of depravity.

That wolf figured out I'm no match for him now, it slowly came towards me, I had lost all hope. It bit my arm and lifting myself up, I scream in pain and despair. Then it slams me to the ground with full force, at this point i couldn't do anything anymore.

As the wolf was about to blow the finishing strike, something behind me caught its attention, 3 daggers hit the wolf's neck which made it step back and scream. The daggers looks a bit different, like something ninjas would use.

It stopped screaming and fell on its knees, the person who saved my life came towards me and asked "are you alright?" I can't see him properly, neither does any word come out of my mouth.

"Looks like you're seriously injured, Don't worry. You'll be fine"

Then he held a crystal near me, which let out white light. My wounds starts to disappear, I feel like I regained my lost energy, I stood up and thanked him. "Thank you, I owe you my life"

"My pleasure, I'm grateful for being able to save one's life"

"My name is Hayabusa, you don't look like you're someone from around here. Where did you come from? And why did you come here?"

"My name is Lucifer, I came from the city of Srytia. I was abducted by V.E.N.O.M. And found myself here on my attempt to escape."

"I'm sorry to hear that, but glad you could make it out of there alive."

"And.. I've never heard of that place, what's your purpose? Are you baiting me here?!"
