"You're not as excited as I expected you to be."
Ísar looked up from the file he'd been reading to give Gaston and Sir Erik his attention.
They were on their way to the teleportation station and Ísar had just picked up Gaston, who he hadn't seen much of since his birthday.
Lord Louis had informed him that the young lord had been getting himself prepared for the academy, going through rigorous training. Gaston had apparently thought he'd lost his edge due to being unable to train since his injury.
Though Ísar had to be honest, it at times felt like he was being avoided. Every time he invited the boy for tea when Xinghua and Osayi were still around, he seemed to always not have the time. Surely he wasn't training for every moment of the day?
Then Ísar had seen him at the gates of the Louis manor, and swallowed down such thoughts.
