Step-Sister
"Lin Xiao, you coming?" Wu Yao asked the absent minded Lin Xiao.
"Of course, how can I not come and greet my legendary step-sister?" Lin Xiao smirked, the opportunity to see the hidden and mysterious daughter of his step-mother, he won't miss it.
"Oy Feng, you also want to come?.. No, forget that I asked." Wu Yao cursed himself to asked such a stupid question. That Hua Feng would be the first one to arrive in that event, and choose the best seat for himself. He won't let go the chance to see a good show.
Lin Xiao: "How many people know about this?"
"Hmm, let's see, I think quite a lot of people already know about this, since the information was easily leaked. I guarantee by tomorrow the whole capital city would know." Hua Feng can't wait for the day to come.
The life in the capital has become boring lately, and he was almost bored to death because there were no excitement. Hence, the unexpected arrival of the hidden treasure of general Shen in the capital was very much welcomed and anticipated by him and many people.
It was already evening and Velove was just finished her bath when she heard someone knocked on her bedroom door. After tying her bathrobe as well as without drying her long brown wet hair, she opened the door and saw Jun Kaien standing in front of her still wearing the same clothes.
Seeing the freshly out of bath Velove, Jun Kaien was in a daze. Her cheeks were flushed pink, her captivating amethyst eyes were misty, her hair was still wet, and some droplets of water were trailing down on her neck before disappearing under the robe. Jun Kaien stared at her white and smooth as jade skin. He wondered what it tastes like if here to lick and suck on that tender skin. Also, what it would look like if he were to leave his mark on it.
He barely got back to his senses when Velove cleared her throat.
"Kai? Is there something you need me for?" Velove was not oblivious of Jun Kaien stare, she wanted to tease him about it, but after thinking that they just met today, she decided it was not a good idea.
His eyes that were glued to her neck snapped back to her eyes, though she didn't teased him but her eyes were laughing. He coughed, trying to expel the embarrassment, but unfortunately his ears were obviously red.
After successfully composing himself, he remembered his initial plan to ask her something.
"What do you want for dinner? Do you want to eat out or we could just ask for delivery" He offered.
"Oh, where's your servants? Can't they just cook for us?" Velove tilted her head curious. It was something she wanted to ask him earlier, when he gave her a tour in his house, she didn't see any servant. Not one. Even though his house was not as big as a mansion, there should be at least two or three servants.
"The servants are forbidden to be in the house unless for cleaning up, and I never eat in the house before, so there were no chef."
"I see, then wait for a while. I'll have to change first." Velove closed the door, then walked out after 6 minutes.
Jun Kaien was waiting on the sofa in the first floor. He thought they were about to eat outside, but when he saw her wearing a casual home royal blue dress, he was confused.
Velove opened the fridge and satisfied to see they were filled with many fresh ingredients. She decided to just cook.
"Kai, do you mind if I used the ingredients to cook? I'd rather cook my own meals, than to eat outside.." Jun Kaien heard her smooth silvery voice from the kitchen.
"This is not polite to let a guest to cook, Vivi. Let me just call my housekeeper, he'll manage something." Jun Kaien took his cell phone and dialed a number, but soon Velove grabbed his arm to stopped him.
"Oh no, please don't. I like cooking very much, so I don't mind. You also said to treat this house as mine too right? unless it was just lip service.." Her raised left eyebrow and her little smirk were teasing him.
Seeing that she seems like having fun, he gave up. Besides, if she cooks, that means he got to taste her meals right? Thinking about it this way, he nodded his head.
"Yes, I did say that.. You can do whatever you want." Jun Kaien tone was very indulgent, he never felt this helpless before.
Velove smiled towards him, and was about to thank him when a distant memories resurface. A very beautiful distant memories, so beautiful as well as painful.
