Kali slowly opened her eyes, the soreness of her body instantly came to sensation. She groaned as she stood up. Looking around, she was in a house that was made of wood, and had medicine all over the place.

"You've woken up, Kali. You shouldn't move around too much." a tall elderly woman with pink hair, tied in a bun, and reddish eyes said.

"You…Porlyusica…wait, how did you know it was me?" Kali asked in confusion.

"Your disguise was easily able to see through, everything was falling apart due to the intense magic in the air. Though, I'm surprised Natsu didn't snuff you out."

"Ah, of course you'd find out it was me." Kali said with a chuckle. "And did you think I wouldn't take measure of Natsu's sense of smell? I made a potion mixed with different chemicals and it would change how I smelt for a day."

"Oh? I'm surprised you didn't make one that would completely hide how you smelled."

"That would make it seem suspicious, so I didn't do that." Kali replied as she laid back on the mattress. "Though I'm surprised, how did you know I was there? Where did everyone else go?"t

"Who wouldn't know where you are? Every wizard in the world could probably detect the amount of mana located in one spot."

"I guess that's true."

"As to where everyone else is, the doctors in the area probably took them. I took you here before anyone saw you, you can relax."

"Thank you, Porlyusica. It seems I have to owe you another favor now."

"Don't worry about it, but I do have a question. How did you manage to end up on the floor with this many injuries? It's been an entire day."

"It's been a day…?"

"Yep, it's the afternoon right now."

"I see." Kali muttered as she closed her eyes. "It was strange, it was as if something was weakening me, constantly sapping my mana."

"That's weird. If I recall, I don't think there's a magic spell that does that. There should be a limit, unless it's a curse." Porlyusica said.

"Hahaha! Perhaps I've been cursed to atone for all of my sins? I'm now forever weak."

"Regarding your situation, I don't think we should be joking about this. It's quite serious, do you have any ideas?"

"I did have a few, but none of them made sense so I narrowed it down to two reasons." Kali said.

"And what would those two reasons be?" Porlyusica asked.

"Either it's actually a curse from me interfering with the balance of life and death or…something else." Kali said as her voice turned serious.

"*Sigh* Alright, I have some herbs to pick, you stay here, and figure out your situation. Don't move too much."

With that said, Porlyusica left the treehouse, and left Kali with some porridge to eat.

Kali touched the top of her head, but felt nothing.

Kali sighed and said, "When is it going to appear? I already know of its existence."

Standing up, Kali stretched before walking towards the restroom where there was a mirror. It reflected herself, the entire disguise had disappeared, and her appearance was back to normal.

But this wasn't surprising, adding all of the events together, it would be even more surprising if the disguise didn't wear off.

"But how did the contacts fall off…" Kali asked herself. She was about to walk away before a sharp pain was inflicted on her. "Ngh!!"

The burning sensation and the excruciating pain on her head. Kali used the wall to help herself up. On the reflection, she saw the same appearance, except there were two long red horns that had appeared.

"I knew it, it's back." Kali muttered.

Before she came back to Magnolia, the horns had appeared multiple times, but this was the first time the pain appeared.

Kali had a few ideas on why it appeared, it was either a curse or a blessing from the random gods that were out there that had brought her into this world of fantasies.

While she was in this form, Kali had felt a strange desire for blood, any blood. That's when her stomach grumbled, she tried to tone down the desire for blood by drinking the porridge, but it was futile.

The porridge tasted bland, there was almost know taste at all. It only made her desire for blood stronger.

"What the hell is this…am I suddenly a vampire?"

The more Kali tried to resist the urge, the stronger it got. It got to the point where Kali couldn't hold it back anymore and bursted out the door. Her eyes scanned the entire forest searching for an animal.

*SQUEAK*

From a nearby bush, the sound of a rabbit could be heard. Kali instantly turned towards where it came from and dashed towards it.

With a swift scoop, Kali took the rabbit in her hands, and sunk her twin sharp fangs into the helpless creature.

The sweetness of the blood could be tasted, her hunger eased as she felt her mind become clearer. It was not only until Kali devoured all of the rabbit's blood that she let it go.

Finally, the headache disappeared, the desire for blood ceased, and her mind was cleared. She was finally able to think properly.

"What was that…?"

Despite being in this world for a long time, Kali still had no knowledge regarding the two horns, and fangs that she had.

She had a hunch it was similar to MIra's demon forms, she could ask her, but right now wasn't exactly the right time for that.

All Kali could do was believe that she had something similar to Mira's demon forms and would possibly grant her new abilities.

"Although this is exciting, it's also kind of scary." Kali muttered as she brushed her hair back.

Her pinky hair fluttered against the wind as it shined against the bright sun that was starting to set. The cotton-candy colored the skies as the clouds moved along with the wind.

Truly, it was a pleasant sight.

However, Kali had a feeling that the future wasn't going to be so pleasant. This feeling of peace should be savored.
