Chapter 61 : Arrest?

"Is this... even possible?!"

"Gajeel... he was actually defeated!"

Expressions of horror adorned the faces of many within the Phantom Lord guild. It was unprecedented to witness Gajeel, the stalwart Iron Dragon Slayer, being overpowered and bested.

"Damn it!! Iron Dragon's Roar!!"

Gajeel bellowed, unleashing a ferocious storm of iron shavings from his mouth, hurtling towards Kyros, obliterating everything in its path.

"Boom–!!"

The roar collided with Kyros's form.

"Direct hit!" Several Phantom Lord members cheered momentarily before their expressions froze.

"Bang!"

As the smoke cleared, Kyros stood unscathed. It dawned on everyone that Gajeel's assault had left no mark on Kyros.

"No! This can't be!" Gajeel exclaimed, eyes wide with disbelief.

Kyros spoke calmly: "Nothing is impossible. The gap between us is simply too vast."

"Om–!"

Manifesting Conqueror's Haki, Kyros crafted a colossal fist before him.

With a casual wave, Kyros struck Gajeel with this formidable fist.

"Boom!"

The earth shattered beneath the force of the blow.

"Wow!"

Members of the Phantom Lord guild were sent airborne in the wake of the attack.

Gajeel crossed his arms defensively.

"Boom—-!!"

"Gaaaaahhhhh!!"

An incomparable force surged through Gajeel's body, overwhelming him completely. He screamed as he was propelled backward, crashing through several buildings before losing consciousness.

Kyros descended upon him, his momentum lifting him into the air as a massive palm materialized before him.

Terror etched the faces of those in the Phantom Lord Guild.

"Run!" Panic ensued as everyone scattered.

Kyros pressed down, the enormous palm descending with unrelenting force.

"Boom—-!!"

With a deafening crash, the Phantom Lord Guild was reduced to rubble, leaving behind only a colossal palm print.

"Tell Guild Master Jose, this serves as a warning. Should he dare to transgress against Fairy Tail again, I will ensure the utter obliteration of the Phantom Lord Guild from this world!"

"Bang!!"

Jose Porla, Guild Master of the Phantom Lord guild and one of the top ten wizards, slammed his fist onto the table, his expression darkening. "Did that brat really say that?"

"Yes! Yes! He's ruthless! He laid waste to the entire guild!"

"And they injured Gajeel and us."

"That guy is too arrogant! He doesn't even consider us and you, the Guild Master, in his eyes."

Jose Porla's expression grew increasingly grim. "The 'Immortal Demon King' Kyros, a brat who destroyed my guild and harmed my guild members, dares to speak such insolence."

"I had intended to let Fairy Tail off lightly, but now I shall see to it that he meets his end!"

"Summon all branch members. I want the Fairy Tail guild erased from existence!!"

Jose Porla harbors the deepest animosity towards Makarov, followed closely by Kyros. He cannot forget the humiliation from six years ago when Makarov boasted about a thirteen-year-old boy in his guild attaining S-class status.

Since then, his desire to eliminate Kyros has only intensified.

Fairy Tail Guild

Word of Kyros's actions has spread throughout the guild, replacing yesterday's anger with a sense of relief.

"Hahaha! What a relief!"

"The Phantom Lord Guild dare not face us head-on; they only scheme behind our backs."

"Well fought! Teach those scoundrels a lesson they won't soon forget! Show them the strength of Fairy Tail!"

"A true man!" Elfman exclaimed.

"Damn it! I want to give the Phantom Lord Guild a piece of my mind too!" Natsu exclaimed, his frustration evident.

Makarov gazed at Kyros, shaking his head with a sigh. "Ah, you impulsive young man."

Kyros smiled and replied, "Old man, they've provoked us. We have to hit back hard, or they'll only become more brazen."

"Well... you have a point. Let's hope this matter ends here." Makarov hoped to avoid inter-guild conflict at all costs. He didn't want the guild's youth dragged into war unnecessarily.

Suddenly, Alzack burst in from outside, his expression frantic.

"We're in trouble!! The Rune Knights of the Magic Council have surrounded our guild!"

"What?!!"

The atmosphere in Fairy Tail shifted instantly. As guild wizards, facing the Magic Council was the last thing they wanted.

"What business do they have with Fairy Tail?" Guild Master Makarov's tone was grave as he ordered, "Let's go outside and see."

The members of Fairy Tail emerged from the basement, their expressions tense as they confronted the Rune Knights of the Magic Council.

"None of you are to move! We are the Rune Knights of the Magic Council! Kyros, from the Fairy Tail Guild, you're being accused of willful destruction of the guild and inciting inter-guild warfare by the Phantom Lord Guild! By the authority of the Magic Council, you are to be arrested immediately!"
