Jellal!

" So, marco you said you were going to tail these guys. Do you know where they went?" Gray asked

" Not really gray, but I'm sure it's wherever the tower of heaven is located, which means."

" Which means we gotta follow natsu." Gray said solemnly while looking at the fire wizard puking over the boat.

As they made their way towards the tower everyone noticed that the birds began falling out of the sky.

" Do you guys feel that?" Natsu asked as he stood up from his motion sickness

" Yeah, this feeling in the air. This energy, It's foul." Marco said

" Look the birds." Lucy yelled as they began dropping

" Even the fish." Gray said as he saw the fish below him

" Wait, isn't that a magic army ship." Juvia asked as she saw the wreckage of the ship.

" There in the distance. The tower of heaven." Marco yelled as they approached the tower.

" Here I'll protect us." Juvia said as she erected a barrier of water over the ship to keep them from being seen.

They approached the island and landed in secret. Natsu rushing off the ship happily

" I see so they have lookouts. We need to find another way in." Marco said

" I found an underwater passageway into the tower." Juvia said sticking out of the water.

" Seriously, way to go." Gray said

" You hear that lucy? gray praised me." Juvia said glaring at lucy.

" Enough wasting time. We need to hurry. I got a bad feeling about this place." Marco said

" It should take us 10 minutes to swim through." Juvia said

" We can hold our breath that long right?" Natsu said

" Probably!" Gray said

" That's not humanly possible you dolts." Lucy yelled

" In that case i suggest we wear these." Juvia said holding up a sphere of water. " It's water shell containing oxygen. This way you can breathe while underwater."

" Wow, that's awesome. Who are you again?" Natsu said hurting Juvia's feelings

After putting on their shells the wizards all made the 10-minute swim through the underwater passage. Arriving just under the tower of heaven.

" So, we're beneath the tower now huh?" gray said

" I wonder where they're keeping Erza and happy?" Natsu asked

" Come on we can't afford too just be out in the open like this. I can feel multiple Prescence's in here." Marco said sensing the bodies around him. Doom! " Too late." Marco said as his eyes flashed red " Above us!"

Raaaaaw " Intruders."

" How did you know?" Lucy asked

" Doesn't matter get ready to fight." Marco said

" Yeah, guess we have no choice now." Gray retorted

" Indeed." Juvia said

" Identify yourselves."

" You losers wanna know who we are?" Natsu asked as he raised his fist in fire. " we're the wizards who are going to pound your faces in." Natsu yelled as he and marco both slammed their fists on the ground creating an explosion of fire. " we're from fairy tail. FIRE DRAGON ROAR!"

" OK! ICE MAKE: LANCE!"

" Open Gate Of The Maiden, Virgo!"

" Drip Drip Drop. WATER SLICER!

" PHOENIX FLARE!"

Oof! Ugh! WOW!

" I hope we're not calling attention to Oh who am i kidding." Lucy said

" I'm afraid so miss." Virgo said

" So where is blockhead?" Natsu asked

A door opened and a ladder came down inviting the wizards into the tower

" What's that?" Natsu asked

" Guess that's their way of saying come on in." Gray answered.

The group followed the ladder up through the tower and came to a room full of food.

While natsu and gray ate the food on the table, Marco gathered himself in thought.

I Don't like this. Who just lets an enemy into their base after they beat up their minions? It doesn't make sense almost feels like we're walking into a trap. Oh, who am I kidding this was a trap the moment they captured erza. I guess there's no way around it anymore. Marco thought to himself as he felt a Prescence coming their way. " Huh! Look alive guys we've got a party coming." marco said as everyone in the room turned towards a door that soldiers came through.

" The Intruders! We found them." The guards yelled as erza came through behind them cutting them down.

" Erza!" Everyone yelled

" Wow! She's so cool." Juvia said

" Uh! It's you what are you guys all doing here?" Erza said in shock upon seeing her friends.

" Looking for you." Marco said

" We haven't met, my name is Juvia." Juvia started before being cut off

" Go home! This place is too dangerous."

" You're not gonna scare us off that easily." Natsu said slamming his fists together " I aint going anywhere until that blockhead gets a good taste of my fist. That guy is going to pay for shooting me in the mouth." Natsu said

" You have to go!"

" But why?" Lucy asked

" Your friends kidnapped happy; I can't leave here without him." Natsu yelled

" They got him too, it must have been Milliana."

" Where can I find him?" natsu asked again

" I'm not sure!" erza replied

" This means war!" Natsu said

" Who exactly are you declaring war against?' Gray asked

" The jerks that kidnapped my little buddy!" Natsu yelled as he ran off

" Natsu! Wait!" erza and arco yelled after the pink haired boy.

" What a moron!" Gray said

" Poor natsu." Juvia said

" Let's go and help him.' Lucy proclaimed

" No!" Erza said holding up her sword to the group.

Once erza flashed her sword marco stepped forward and forcefully snatched the blade from erza's hand.

" Erza, i don't know what's going on with you or your old friends, but i do know that this place is bad news. I'm getting you all out of here then I'm going to burn this tower to the ground." Marco said

" Marco, you don't understand."

" Then help me understand. What happened to the strong-willed woman who would beat natsu and gray into line for acting up?"

" Things aren't that simple"

" Maybe they aren't but if you don't explain it to us, we'll never know. What is this tower and who is this jellal? Why are you so determined on seeing this through by yourself?" Marco asked

" It's none of your business. Leave!" Erza said as she turned around with tears in her eyes.

" I'm sorry, but you can't help me now the odds are stacked against me. win or lose this battle I'm staring death in the face." Erza said

" What do you mean by that?" Gray asked

" There's no point in fighting what's inevitable, I can't. But what I can do is share my story with you, While I'm still here. This building is the tower of heaven it is also called the ars system. Over a decade ago a cult dedicated to black magic began its construction. it would be used to cast a forbidden spell that brings the dead back to life. The spell required multiple human sacrifices, so the cult abducted citizens of the surrounding areas and forced them to build the tower as slaves. The only reason I know this is because I was one of those people. Anyone who tried to resist the cult or run away would mysteriously disappear. We never had any peace of mind, we lived in constant fear, but we bonded and made friends despite that. Even though we knew we wouldn't be together long. One of my friends in the tower was a boy named Jellal." Erza explained to the others.

" We took a stand for our freedom. We hoped to save our dear friend Jellal. He was like the leader of our group back then. He had a strong sense of justice, that I truly admired, however something happened to him. It was like he became an entirely different person. There's only one way i would describe Jellals new persona. Pure, Unadulterated, EVIL!"
