39. Class Match

The next day after he returned, Ben does a job again because this is Monday, and he needs to teach at the Magic School with his team. When he gets into the class, everyone is surprised to see his condition.

But he is already healed to more than 85% after Wendy cast healing magic on him. Her mastery is still not that good, and she still can't heal broken bones instantly. She will use healing magic once per day, so Ben will be healed completely in 2 days.

Then, like last week, Ben checks on the students' progress. They all show good progress in a week of training. It seems his method is effective to be used on these kids.

"Ben nii-chan, teacher Raul also get more friendly, and his teaching is easier to understand now, so we can understand a lot from him."-Ron

"Ooh, that's good, then."-Ben

Raul, their homeroom teacher, has learned from Ben's method to teach the kids. It's something simple that Raul forgets. He needed to be close with the kids. He needs to make them comfortable with him, and he shouldn't be too stiff when teaching.

Raul has now become more friendly with the students and more easygoing at teaching. He left the traditional method and taught the students based on their interests or even intelligence level.

He used the topics that the students like when he teaches, and now they understand his teaching. That's why now, Raul starts to learn more magic, especially those that his students learn.

'That guy is really not bad. He will be a good educator.'-Ben

After hearing that the students now can understand Raul's teaching, Ben decides to change his lesson. He will only train the students on combat, tips on taking jobs as a mage, and more practical things. So he will leave the theoretical studies to Raul.

"As a mage, it is important to know how to fight, but mages' jobs aren't just fighting. I'll teach you some important stuff that you need to have & know as mage."-Ben

Ben then teaches them some stuff about mages jobs in a guild. He teaches them what he knows from his experience and from what Roubaul taught him.

After teaching those stuff in class, Ben asks them to train in the field. They learned hand-to-hand combat last week. So now they will train to fight using magic by sparring with their classmates.

Ben calls Raul to oversee the sparring session. They will be the referee and stop any dangerous things. Wendy will be ready on the side to heal the students if they're hurt.

"We will pair you following your presence list, starting from Ron VS Mina."-Ben

""Yes.""-Ron & Mina

Both Ron & Mina come up to the stage and get ready to fight.

"Start!"-Ben starts the sparring after seeing the 2 are ready.

"Take-Over! Animal Soul: Dog!"-Mina

Mina moves fast and immediately transforms into a dog. Her dog form is similar to a German Shepherd. But her fur isn't black & brown, it's orange & yellow. Maybe because she has orange hair.

Currently, she can only transform into a dog. Mina can transform into a dog because she has some dogs at home and really 'know' about dogs.

While Mina transforms, Ron also uses his fire magic. He raises his right hand in front of him and opens his palm. Then a little red magic circle appears on his palm.

"Fire Magic: Fireball!"-Ron

A small fireball appears on top of Ron's magic circle. Then he throws the fireball at Mina, who has transformed into a dog. Mina jumps to the side and avoids the fireball, then she runs into Ron.

Ron is panicking because Mina can dodge his attack, and he needs some seconds to make a new fireball spell. He can only make a fireball now, and he needs some seconds to cast it again.

Too bad Mina won't give Ron the chance to make a new fireball. She runs fast at him, and Ron tries to run away too. But as a dog, she is faster than Ron. Finally, Mina catches up to Ron and jumps at him from behind. That makes Ron fall and can't fight back anymore.

"That's enough! Winner, Mina."-Ben

The girls cheer, while the boys feel ashamed of Ron because he lost easily. Ben just stays silent, and he starts the next match, Gea VS Hans.

Gea learns Bubble Magic, while Hans learns Illusion Magic. Both are interesting magic and don't have much power in the early stage. That's why these magics will need the user to be smart when using them.

Ben starts the match, and both sides immediately make their move. Hans creates a white magic circle in front of him. Then 2 illusion clones of himself appear there.

"Clones Illusion!"-Hans

Hans & his clones then run to Gea in 3 different directions. While Hans makes the clones, Gea also makes a spell. She raises both of her hands in front of him, and a blue magic circle appears.

"Soapy Bubbles!"-Gea

Gea made many tiny bubbles from the magic circle. The bubbles then spread around Gea like a protective dome.

'Hans wants to confuse her by creating illusion clones. But Gea makes a wall of bubbles around her to detect the real Hans. The illusions aren't real, so they won't pop the bubbles, good thinking.'-Ben

Ben looks at Hans & Gea, who are preparing their next spell before they even clash. It seems they've learned from Ron's mistake for not preparing his next move faster.

Hans passes through the bubble dome, and the one on Gea's right side pops the bubbles, so he is the real one. Gea wants to attack, but Hans has made his move and creates another 2 clones after getting inside the dome.

"Hehe, now you won't be able to find the real me."-Hans

"Are you sure?"-Gea smirk

Gea moves all the tiny bubbles to surround Hans & his clones, who haven't split. Through the bubbles, Gea finds out that the real one is in the middle. So she runs and sends a kick from the right to the real Hans.

Hans can't see anything with all the bubbles covering his eyes. He suddenly feels a kick in his left stomach. Hans is sent flying a meter away and falls to the ground. He is still fine, but then Gea jump and pin him down.

"Stop! Winner: Gea."-Ben

""YEAY!""-Girls

The girls cheer, while the boys have dark faces. They've lost 2 times in a row to the girls now.

'It's not really a tournament between boys & girls though, but it seems they think of it that way.'-Ben

The next match is Dito VS Dan. Dito uses telekinetic magic, while Dan uses bullet magic. In their fight, Dan shoots his blue magic bullets at Dito. So Dito uses a telekinetic wall to protect himself. Their battle finished after Dan ran out of MP because his bullets couldn't pierce Dito's wall.

After that is the fight of 2 girls, Olive VS Cya. Olive uses Sound magic with a flute magic tool, while Cya uses water magic. Both of them use their magic spell to attack at the same time.

But then Cya's magic suddenly disperses because she feels dizzy when hearing Olive's flute sound. Olive's sound magic reaches Cya faster before Cya's water bullet can reach the middle of the arena. Olive keeps using her flute until Cya finally gives up because of the dizziness.

Next is Parka vs Felice. Parka uses Muscle Magic because he thinks men need to be strong & muscular. While Felice uses Requip because her father is a magic items' craftsman. So she can just get the armor & weapons from her father.

They start their battle, with Parka turning into a 1.8 meters muscular man. On the other hand, Felice turns into a full armored knight with a shield & sword. They clash, and Felice mainly defends using her big shield. But in the end, Parka overpowers her and sends her out of the arena.

The last one is Yorki, but there's no one after him, so Ben matches him with Bella & Carla. Wendy is a good option, but she is still too strong for him. Yorki uses lightning magic, and he has just learned one spell, lightning fists.

In the fight, Bella & Carla just fly around him, causing him unable to hit them. Then, when he makes an opening, Carla catches him from behind, and Bella headbutts his stomach from the front. Bella & Carla are quite strong, so the headbutt knocks Yorki out easily.

"Alright, you've done good in your first battle using magic, but it's not enough. I will tell you your weakness and how to fix it later, but for now, you guys will fight me, together."-Ben

""WHAT?!""-Students

"I'll show you how a mage fights."-Ben grin
