41 Chapter 41: Day Off

Chapter 41: Day Off

~Rou POV~

Sigh…

Relaxing inside my private home for the day Mavis decided to take her time trying to create her famous in the future Fairy Law, Glitter, and Sphere.

I offered my input that she would need to create her greatest creation the Three Great Fairy Magic in the future, but I wasn't allowed to help her any more than my input.

She wanted to create her Fairy Magic like how I created my Fairy Alchemy by myself wanting to one-up me by creating her version of creations.

Currently, though I'm enjoying my time studying in my home about the rewards we got from the Feudal Lords for participating in the Second Trade War and one of the things I wanted from them is can they find me a few certain items and Spell Books regarding different topics.

Getting the book was actually an easy part since the Feudal Lords that lost had to hand over trade rights and items to pay back for the war that caused all of this so getting a spell book from them was easy enough.

As for the item in question what I got was a Golden Celestial Key.

To be more specific a Celestial Key that no one knows about except for me but as of right now though only the current head of the Heartfilia Clan has all the 12 Golden Zodiac keys…

Except for one.

Number 13.

And that one key is what I'm currently holding in my hands right now twirling it around moving in-between my fingers moving along nicely.

The key is depicted to be black in color, ending in a spade-like tip that is connected to the key's bow by a dark serpentine figure that spirals around the blade of the key. The center of the bow is black, stamped with the crest of the Snake Charmer, colored in white, with the serpentine figure spiraling around it.

While in possession of the key, a Celestial Spirit Mage may be able to summon the Snake Charmer Ophiuchus by reciting the quote 'Open Gate of the Snake Charmer! Ophiuchus!'. This summons, Ophiuchus, a Celestial Spirit that takes the form of a mechanical snake.

But to be exact this is a Black Key not sure why it's colored gold though.

Ophiuchus, 'The Snake Charmer' is a powerful Celestial Spirit whose Gate is referred to as the '13th Gate'.

Although after the war I did get to keep the Fire and Spirit God Slayer Lacrima's in safe keeping since I would need to see in the future who's compatible with or who knows make Artificial God Slayers Homunculi.

Meh.

That sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Tucking away my Celestial Key for the time being I wonder what I should do today after the war is finally over.

Maybe a nice enjoyable walk down Magnolia would chill my mind off any worries.

Standing up and turning off the Light Lacrima I began to dress up and head out for the day wondering what sites I'll witness today.

*Thud*

Closing my door I began to exit out the day seeing the whole town in front of my doorstep on my privately owned hill smiling as I have the Phoenix Stone and Philosopher Stone dangling around my neck like an accessory.

Hehe…

Honestly, the thought is quite funny.

As I was walking outside to touch some grass still though I do have to wonder…

Walking down the hill I had an idea of sorts holding out my Enchant: Desire Compass this time trying to find where a specific book was.

The book I'm talking about is from an OVA episode where Team Natsu went back in time when he forgot something from a Magic Book.

The Memory Days Book to be exact.

The book causes a person to go back in time that they cannot want to remember. However, if someone else touches that person, they will also be transported to the past.

The book's effect lasts for six hours, and after the six hours pass, the person will be transported back to the present. If the people who touched the original transportee aren't touching them just before the return trip to the present, they will be forced to stay in the past.

The book is apparently ageless, as it's stuck in a time loop where it brings Natsu's Team the past only to be left there and eventually repeat the same events with no ending or beginning, never aging or withering.

Gazing at my Compass I wonder if there was something, I would forget in my day that I cannot remember but I might have a distinct feeling of what it is already…

*Ding*

Raising an eyebrow at this I see my Compass managed to pick up my desire of looking for the book in question.

Let's see if I can find it here in Magnolia or if is it a lost cause outside of the town's reach.

/////

Going around meeting everyone again I smiled and waved at them as the people here love us being around.

Then again it could be due to my connections to Miner Guilds or the previous soldiers I fought alongside for helping them return safely to their loved one's in a piece.

I still get their thanks for healing their bodies.

"Ah! Young Ake!"

Blinking hearing a voice I recognize I turn my gaze over to the Elder I saved a few years ago as I smile at him heading towards him, "Yo! Didn't expect you to be still kicking old timer. But regardless how are you feeling?"

He scoffs at me but smiles lightly giving me a small bow and explaining himself, "Doing well. Could be better if you respect your Elders kid but… thanks. I heard you saved lives during the war my son talks about you repairing his arms."

Blushing a bit and bashfully replying to the Elder walking side by side in a calm manner, "Really now? I wouldn't say I'm that famous honestly. And I took more lives than I can save…"

Looking at my hand the flashes of that nightmare are still present in my mind…

The fire and smell of burnt flesh and the lives lost more visionary graphics being part of it still makes my skin crawl.

But it comes and goes from time to time not bothering that much anymore just comes up as a mere nightmare now.

I preferably would rather forget it.

It's not as bad as it was before just nightmares and it's all in the past.

Shaking my head and getting out of that funk I returned to the Elder with a smile with him shaking his head and replying to me, "Sigh… whatever you say, kid. Still though to expect you and the little girl that so a few years ago helping us… Seems like a wild story huh?"

Smirking getting what the Elder is saying as I walk side by side with him replying with a reminiscent smile, "Yeah… still unbelievable how things went through. Still, tell your son he should be careful of his health and not fight any more wars."

"Bah!"

Waving me off he merely laughed next passing along the message as I continued onward looking around and seeing the compass pointing towards the bookstore.

How ironic.

Shaking my head helplessly enough I began to enter inside as the bookstore owner saw me as she smiled responding, "Oh! Why if it isn't the man of the hour? The mister Trade War Hero Rou the Fairy Saint! How can I help you, good sir?"

Really?

I couldn't help but place a finger at me with a goofy expression when I was called that as I voiced it out, "The Trade War Hero Rou the Fairy Saint? Doesn't that sound a bit much though?"

The bookstore owner shook her head placing her hands on her waist and replying to me genuinely thankful, "No! I heard from the soldiers that a member of Fairy Tail helped the soldiers recover no time in all with Healing Magic. If not that reattaching limbs out of nothing! I can't help it when you helped return my boy back from the war."

Frowning at that if there as just as many people I saved appreciating me then there must be an equal amount of people that hate my guts.

Sighing at this ignoring the feeling for the time being I returned to the bookstore owner asking for a book they might have, "Sigh… while the thanks and honor is appreciated storeowner. I'm actually here if you have a book in your possession called The Memory Days Book."

She hums at this before finally replying to me with a playful wink, "Hmm… I need to check to see if we have one. Just give me a few minutes."

Thanking her I waited around observing some of the books around the bookstore taking time to go over a few of them.

Mavis did say I have the talent to make some of my stories be published because of how good my creative ideas are.

Heh.

Original ideas yeah right.

But she does have a point though that the stories from my old life are great and different to this current of times.

If I ever go to retirement, I could always publish already famous works I read in the past and good old fashion copy them off and make it my own work here.

Hm….

I so recall the Ben 10 series being especially popular along with RWBY being unexpectedly popular for their time plus could give a little science fiction than just plain old magic to a fair degree…

"Here you go mister war hero!"

Please don't call me that.

Handing me the item I desire as my compass finally stops glowing, I got a good look at The Memory Days Book.

Memory Days appear to be a thick silver hardcover book with four hearts on the cover, arranged to resemble a four-leaf clover. These hearts are filled with small hearts of red, blue, and white. Green triangles can also be seen surrounding the hearts and the title which is printed below the hearts with a ribbon underneath. The contents of the book are written in fine print with the four-leaf heart separating them from each other.

Smiling at this I thanked the storeowner taking the book on me happily as I get to read the contents seeing the spell and as long as I don't put any intent on activating it I can pretty much read how the heck this book time travels.

Looks like I have a new project to work on along with a variety of others –

"Hey, mister!!"

Stopping I turned around to see one of our Guild Mates seemingly like a kid as I squat down seeing the Fairy Tail emblem on him with a smile, "Hello fellow member. You… are the newbie that joined a few months back when the war happened right?"

He nods as I see he looks like a nice boy with white short unkempt shoulder-length hair and pupilless eyes responding lively doing a small bow to me in respect, "Yes co-founder sir! I'm Wraith and I was wondering if you can help me with my Spirit Dragon Slayer Magic Ake-san!!"

Huh?
