16 Chapter 16: Cana's First Job(2)
* Earth Land, Ishgar, Fiore *

* Noon *
"Hello Welcome to Boar's hat, what would you like to order?" She asked with a wide smile as she noticed us walking to her.
"We're not here to order, actually we're here for the job that your owner posted at the guild." I said to her while showing her the job poster that is stamped by the guild master.
" Yes yes, we're here to do the job!!" Cana at the side joyfully at the side as she waved her arms around.
Ella chuckled at the actions of Cana and took the job poster and read it. after reading it she handed it back to me.
"Follow me to the back" She said.
We followed her to the back, where I assumed where the kitchen is. As we crossed the doors a wave of heat hit us in the face as the temperature went a few degrees up in the kitchen. I looked around the kitchen and noticed that all the chefs here are females, I wonder slightly if it's ok for me to be here.
We waited for a minute before a young woman with green hair tied with a handkerchief wearing an orange and black striped shirt and gray knee-length skirt. She smiled at us as she walked towards us.
"Hello my name is Makino, I'm the owner of the Boar's hat restaurant you must be the ones that accepted the job at fairy tail right?" She asked us with a slight smile.
" Yep, that's us." Cana said cheerfully.
"You don't need to do much just handing the finished dishes to the customers that ordered them." Makino said the things that we need to do in this job.
"Yosh I'm gonna do this job with all I got!!" Cana said as she clenched her small fist.
After that, we went out of the kitchen and went to a small rectangular window where the finished dishes that is numbered on to which table they go to.
"Steak and Spaghetti for table number 4." said a chef in the kitchen as she slid out a finished dish.
" Yes Ma'am," Cana said as she took the dish and went to deliver it to table number 4.
"Pork cutlets for table number 2." said another chef inside as she slid out the food.
I took the dish and went to deliver it to the designated table.
"Curry for table number 0." said a chef inside as she slid out the food.
"Yes Ma'am" Said Cana as she went back and took the dish and delivered it to table number 0.
After that we served some more dishes for about two hours then we took a break in the break room while eating pork cutlets. Ella also took a break at the same time as ours so I took this time to ask some questions.
" Sister Ella, Why is the restaurant named boar hat?" I asked her.
" Well apart from the specialty of the restaurant is boar meat. The owner of the restaurant Sister Makino really loved to eat meat since she was a child so she decided to build a restaurant about meat." She answered.
" Oh me too I wanna ask why does the restaurant look like a hat?" Cana asked.
" Well apparently Sister Makino once saw a piglet that wear a hat and she thought that it was cute so she designed the building of the restaurant to the hat that she saw the piglet is wearing." Ella chuckled at the last part.
Then she looked left and right as if to see if there will be anyone else apart from us that will hear the next words that she might say.
" Did you know she fell in love so much with that piglet that she brought it home and started raising it." Ella said as she smiled mischievously.
After that, we chatted some more and immediately went back to serving customers after our break. This continued until the restaurant is about to close. While we were closing Makino went to us and gave us our pay.
"Thank you for coming today it really took some of the work on us." She said with a smile as she handed five thousand jewels to us.
" You're welcome, Ms. Makino." We smiled as we took the money and went back to the guildhall.
As we were walking we talked about the distribution of the reward that we got from this job.
"We should split it Three thousand to me and Two thousand to you since I did more work." Cana said as she proudly raised her chin.
"No, We should just split it even so that we don't fight over such a measly amount of money." I said to her.
After that, we reached the guildhall and saw Gildarts waiting for us at the bar table. I would really think that He cared if not for the empty barrels that are rolling on the ground. As we neared him I heard him crying out.
" My Cana is growing up so fast, She did not even want me to help her on her job." He said with crocodile tears coming down from his eyes.
" Now Now she's not growing up fast, you were not even there when she grew up HAHAHAHA." Laughed Old man Makarov who is sitting next to Gildarts.
"What Old man I'm gonna watch her grow up alright." Gildarts said with a blush on his face from the amount of beer that he had drunk.
" Yeah Yeah sure you will." Old man Makarov lost interest when he found out the Gildarts is already drunk.
As Gildarts was about to drink the next cup of beer he suddenly stopped as if sensing something. He immediately turned around and what he saw made him smile more.
"Cana my wonderful, adorable, and the cutest daughter in the world you're finally back." He said as he spread open his arms as if expecting a hug from Cana.
