A trip to the Capital, Crocus
After John chased Sebastian for a few hours, John stopped in place as he sat down and panted while looking at Sebastian with great anger.
Sebastian just smiled feeling John's angry gaze, which made John more furious, and he wished that he could tear Sebastian apart.
But, obviously, he can't, as not only was he already tired, he was much weaker than the other party, all that he can do is just write this grudge down in his small notebook and remember to take revenge when he's stronger.
After resting for a while, John stood up and walked back to the Puppet pagoda to continue working on the new puppets to be made, while walking he said to Sebastian.
"Don't bother me anymore you old antique, your so old yet you still behave like a child."
"It's because you kept behaving like an adult, the space lacks vitality, you lack the cheerfulness a child should have." Sebastian said as he suddenly became more serious.
"It's probably because I'm an orphan-" John said but he was cut off by Sebastian.
"Don't try to chalk it off to being an orphan, even an orphan lived a hard life, it can't conceal the cheerfulness from within."
"I'm really curious about you, young master, how could you display the mentality of an adult man despite being so young?" Sebastian asked while looking at John curiously.
'That's because I'm already an adult dumbass!' John thought, as he wished to shout that to Sebastian, but he knew that he can't say it, his being not from this world is a secret that will get buried with him.
John stopped for a moment and then continued to walk back as he said. "It's none of your business if I seem to be more mature than people my age."
Sebastian didn't say anything else as he watched with a smile as John went back to the Puppet Pagoda to continue his research about the Ghost Ripper puppets.
No one knows what Sebastian thought as he walked away with a little skip in his steps as he hummed along the way.
As John closed the door of the Puppet Pagoda, he then started to experiment with his leftover thought about creating a mass-produced puppet.
He started by getting the materials needed for the puppet, which are Golden Bamboo for the body, and Elven Wood for the muscles, and then he remembered something embarrassing.
"I have no materials to replace or even the capability to make something to replace the puppet's claws." John said as he look awkwardly at the materials on the crafting table.
"It looks like we have to make a trip to the capital to see if they got something to replace the puppet's claws."
After saying that, he quickly left the Mage's sanctuary and went out to pack his things, while he was packing up Cana entered the apartment just to see this scene.
"Oy, John! Why are you packing up your things?" Cana asked with eyes full of suspicion.
"Oh, I'm just heading out for some things I need for my puppet." John replied nonchalantly as he continued to pack up.
"You must be trying to go on an adventure without me again, wait for me here I'll also pack my things, I'll tag along on your adventure." After saying that Cana ran back towards her home to pack up.
John didn't have the chance to stop her, he can only sigh helplessly as he watched her get farther away, he just smiled as he already has an idea to invite Cana to go with him to Crocus. After he was done packing up his things, he went outside and walked to Cana's house.
He reached Cana's place to see Gray, Lyon, Ultear, and Ur standing in front of Gildarts' house with bags on their shoulder, John wondered why were they there when Gray spotted him.
"Hey, John, where are you going this time? Cana invited us when she walked by our house." Gray said while tugging a little on his bag.
Ur and the others move out of his apartment a week ago as she already bought a whole house for her family and disciple.
John's lips twitch as he already knew that Cana can't keep the matter to herself, he just sighed as he replied.
"I'm going to Crocus to see if they have the materials I'm looking for, materials that are suitable for my puppet."
Ultear who was standing beside Ur jumped up as she asked cheerfully with curiosity evident in her eyes. "Crocus? Isn't that the capital of Fiore?"
Ur smiled as she rubbed Ultear's head while saying. "That's right, It is more widely known as the Flower Blooming Capital."
"Flower Blooming Capital? Does that place has a lot of flowers?" Ultear asked.
"Hahahaha, Yeah, that place has a lot of beautiful flowers." Ur said with slight nostalgia.
"I'm sure that even if those flowers are beautiful, the flowers made by Mom are the most beautiful, Right Mom?" Ultear asked with a cheerful smile.
Everyone on the scene smiled seeing all of this, they chatted for a while when the door opened and Cana came out dragging a big bag as she said with an embarrassed smile.
"I'm sorry to keep everyone waiting, Let's go already. Oh right, where are we going to, John?"
Everyone has a wry smile when they heard her, you are so enthusiastic when inviting us, and yet you don't even know where you are going to?
"We're going to the capital of Fiore, Crocus." In the end, John answered her question.
"Oh, The Capital? I haven't had the chance to go to the capital yet. I heard others say that Crocus is a city full of beautiful flowers, and they have plenty of delicious sweets too!"
Cana said as her eyes lit up thinking of the words she heard from others about the delicacy served in a few famous restaurants, bakeries, etc. of the capital.
"Yeah, yeah, let's go already so we can arrive sooner at Crocus." John said as he waved his hand, he then walked towards the west gate as Crocus is situated west of Magnolia.
As they walked to the west gate, John couldn't help but think, ' Crap, Dragapult can't fit too many people on their backs, and we can't simply ride the ice phoenix since it will be exhausting for Ur.'
'Good thing that I've prepared if something like this happened and prepared a solution ahead of time.'
When they got out of Magnolia, John waved his hands as a huge black luxurious carriage appeared in front of him.
This carriage has a height of 5 Meters and a width of 7 meters, making it almost the size of a small room, weighing as heavy as 4 and a half tons, one would have to wonder, what could pull such a monstrous thing?
The others were surprised to see this thing, as they all went close to it and kept circling it as they said in wonder.
"Damn, John, you really know how to enjoy life, there's even a whole living room inside the carriage!" Gray said as he took a peek inside the carriage.
"Really?!" The others quickly went inside the carriage to only see a whole living room inside, three rectangular sofas placed on the other three sides of the carriage other than the entrance, and a big circular carpet in the middle.
"You really know how to enjoy life kid, hmm? What's this?" Ur said as she touched the deep dent in the lower half of the sofa.
She then found out that she it seems to be pullable, so she tugged hard and the lower half of the sofa separated from the sofa and formed a bed with the original sofa.
"Oh? A sofa that can turn into a bed, you sure do have a lot of ideas in that head of yours, kid." Ur said slightly surprised by the mechanism.
Gray and the others were also surprised by this scene, so they immediately try to see if the other sofas have the same mechanism, and they pulled it once they saw it.
Just as they were about to play a bit more, the carriage suddenly rumbled for a bit and then it quickly stabilized.
They quickly got up from the bed and lifted the carriage's curtains to look outside to see that the carriage is already running at a fast speed.
"What's going on John? The carriage is already moving? What's pulling the carriage?" Cana asked three consecutive questions to John who was laying on the bed.
"First, the carriage is moving in the direction of Crocus, second, Yes the carriage is indeed moving, and third, what's pulling this carriage are my horse puppets." John answered her question one by one.
"The name of the puppets are - Sleipnir!"
