Urgh…

Waking up feeling tired from head to toe I soon took notice of myself as I checked my surrounding to what appeared to be a medical room.

Seems like I last remembered I was knocked out so…

I guess that means we won right?

Gazing at my body I see casts on my legs and one on my left arm flinching feeling the pain of broken bones.

Yeah…

I'm definitely not coming back from this for a while now.

Maybe I should check up on my Status currently at this moment.

Seems like I leveled up twice by landing the final blow against Jose but then what –

Before I could continue my line of thinking the door to my room opened up to reveal Erza and Lucy coming inside with surprised expressions on their faces as the blond was first to speak, "Silva!! Thank goodness you are finally awake!"

She rushes to me giving me a light hug and blushing lightly before coughing up and responding to her, "Nice to meet you too Lucy. And I see Erza is looking fine today."

She gives a curt nod in agreeing but the bandages on her face and wraps on her arms say otherwise but replies in a confident manner, "Nothing to be concerned of. Just got wounded just like you is all. But it does please me to see you, Natsu, and Gray are recovering from the encounter with Phantom Lord."

Sighing a breath of relief I replied back with a smile on my face leaning comfortably on my bed and pillow, "Sigh… that's good to hear. So Natsu and Gray are both in the hospital as well I'm assuming?"

Lucy replied to my question in a thankful manner taking a seat in one of the spare chairs in this room, "Sort of. Natsu just got discharged finally recovering. Gray was already discharged 3 days ago after some resting and medicine from Fairy Tail's own private doctor. We came to visit you after you didn't wake up for the last 5 days."

My eyes widen at that.

5 days?!!

But the grind!!!

*Grrr*

Before I could mutter something out, I felt hungry blushing a bit embarrassed as the two laughed lightly with Erza pointing out, "Haha… I see after your long slumber you would need to regain your energy again. The rest of the guild is helping to rebuild the Guild again, but it will take some time."

Lucy began to stand up as she and Erza headed to leave promising to bring me something to eat as they closed the door.

I could only sigh seeing everything is in order I suppose.

But what about my rewards for the mission though?

Do I need to wait for the Magic Council to clear some things up before I actually get my reward?

I think that might actually be the case if so…

My trust now lies in the Magic Court System with Fairy Tail...

Looking around my neck the Philosopher Stone is gone as I remembered using it all up against that vile man with disgust running through me at the thought.

Worth it.

The expression of being defeated by someone weaker than him was the most satisfying thing I could've ever gotten even if it was a stupid move.

But then again everyone does a stupid move that makes it feel worth it. That's just part of being the human package.

Sighing out a breath of relief I looked to see Mastema disk placed with Spectator on the table with Shambhala with the Requip Ring nearby as I talk to myself, "Sigh… I lost more than I thought in this confrontation. Lost a good blade, and precious stone but… it was worth it. Worth it to see that fucker get his just deserts."

Losing my rewards hurt but the satisfaction of beating the Phantom Lord leader after making my own friends hurt or be tortured was worth the cost needed to put Jose's stupid plan in his face.

Sigh…

Guess the only thing I need to do is simply wait till I get my reward but till then…

Reaching out to get my Shambhala I began to bring out some copies of Phantom Lord Magic Books from their own guild before they were destroyed from the fight against me and Erza destroying their Guild Building.

Hehehe…

I just hope it doesn't get cut out from my paycheck on jobs…

2 days have come and gone as Erza, Lucy, Levy, and a few members of the Guild came along to check me out since my condition of broken legs, arm, and few ribs left me bedridden for the remainder of my time.

At least till Fairy Tail is proven innocent and the Magic Council declares us so but when that happens I'll be here instantly recovered when I get my level-ups.

Their company certainly helped a lot keeping me company and having Levy around when I offered her some of my secret stash of Phantom Lord's Magic books which she agreed to read on our time when she visits.

Since I couldn't train my body, I focused more on my mind for the time being waiting for my reward so that I can level up and get healed.

At least I can give proper attention to <Mana Manipulation> and my Mana Method Manual in my free time now.

*Knock*

That was before we heard some people knocking as they came barging inside dressed in knightly armor as two came inside with one of them speaking, "Tell me are you the one's known as Silva Knights and Levy McGarden?"

We both gave a curt nod as one of the Rune Knights looked at me before gesturing for Levy to leave to which she was reluctant to reply as I get down to business, "Hello sir, I take it something happened to my Guild? Should I be worried or…"

Gesturing to my hand motion hoping to get things going the Rune Knight sat down taking a magic paper out of thin air clearing his throat and responding to me, "Ahem…! I deeply apologize Mister Knights, but your Guild got rounded up just today to go about private interrogation. When asked about your appearance they said you were at the hospital recovering. No worries just some honest reports about the Guild War with Phantom Lord Guild and I'll be off your hair."

Responding with a nod he began to question me about that week's events replying honestly about my involvement to the best of my ability while not disclosing I used the Philosopher Stone.

And giving some demonstrations with my Shambhala and Mastema to prove my claims he nodded in understanding about my involvement to which the Rune Knight dubs the Phantom Incident as Fairy Tail being the innocent victims here.

Few more questioning that lasted for a few hours as the Rune Knight stood up thanking me for my time, "That will be all to report. I do apologize this was brought up while you are recovering hope you have a good day."

Nodding in understanding he soon left as Levy soon comes in with a defeated sigh on her face talking to me, "Argh… just when things were getting back to normal the Magic Council had to get involved. Can't catch more than a break here…"

Agreeing to that it felt boring asking about my involvement, but it needed to be done.

Leaning back of my bed sighing placing one of the Magic Books to the side I talked to Levy about other things to lighten the mood, "Sigh… yeah but you them, right? But let's ignore that for now since we're bound to be questioned more times than not at this point. Let's talk more about the Rune deciphering to pass the time."

She merely grinned happily at that taking her mind off the whole Phantom Lord business into something productive.

I just knew today was going to be bad.

Had a bad feeling this would pop up sooner or later…

I was hoping for later…

Mavis finally returned back to greet me at my old apartment only to figure out it was destroyed by the fight between Natsu and Gajeel in the process along with a few other buildings in the last 9 days in this hospital.

When Mavis looked around, she was very shocked that her guild got trashed in the destruction in the Guild War but was more concerned about my state when she found out I was in the hospital.

I relieved her worries brushing it off as I got up with my crutches supporting me at the floating loli, "Nah. This is merely a flesh wound."

She frowns scolding me that I shouldn't take my signs of being injured lightly in a motherly tone of her voice, "No. Silva this is no laughing manner to simply shrug off. In what idea in your head thought that fighting an S-Class no 3 of them and a Guild Master who happens to be a Wizard Saint is ever a good idea?!!!"

I flinched at that trying to find an excuse nervously laughing at one I replied, "Hehehe… I'm a battle junkie idiot?"

Her eyes twitched at that response trying to pinch my cheeks or punch me only to phase through scolding me in the process, "Oh, Silva you are so VERY lucky I don't have my body to beat into you common sense or strangle the idiocy out of you. That was a bad reply that was…"

*Gulp*

Taking a gulp, I'll be sure to be reminded of that fact from this moment forward then…

After that Mavis sighed at my predicament giving me some good news deciphering the Mana Method Manual in a happy tone, "Sigh… what am I going to do with you, Silva? Guess I should bring up the goodness being that I managed to decipher and translate the book you have. I have it all memorized in my head to share my discovery but…"

She had a mischievous grin on her face as I shook my head no.

I needed to know woman!

Don't you dare do what I think you're going to do?!!

She simply ghosted me by leaving me like that…

Like those in fanfics or manga leaving me behind in the worst form known to man…

Interesting…

Observing and reading the reports it seems like Fairy Tail managed to pull through with their Guild War against Phantom Lord.

It was expected they would win but most surprisingly enough Erza Scarlet and Silva Knights managed to subdue Jose one of the 10 Wizard Saints.

And through the rumors, the two go through dates together. I wonder how Erza would feel if her love interest would suddenly…

Perish on a job?

The thought would surely be tantalizing for her to suffer if it wasn't for his Eye Magic able to identify things, I would've done something about it.

The genuine fear that it could be traced to me or put Erza over the edge alerting the Council Members could foil the plans I've been trying to do over the last few years.

I couldn't risk the chance not when my goals are so close...

Surely the power boosts Erza gained against Jose would be useful to revive Zeref.

For now, I should reframe from interfering with Silva Knights as his Eye Magic could jeopardize my plans but when the moment is right, I shall bring despair to Erza Scarlet and those close to her.

Freedom doesn't exist in this world it's an illusion.

And no one not even some no-name like Silva Knights would be able to do anything.

What can a weakling like him even do against someone even stronger than Jose?
