Chapter 192: The Grand Magic Games (3)

Chapter 192: The Grand Magic Games (3)

~Silva K. POV~

It wasn't a no-brainer Gray wasn't winning this one. As much as he improved greatly this wasn't his match-up.

And I could've chosen this one. As well as won but…. He called me a bad driver during the preliminaries I call this payback.

Upon witnessing the events unfolding Mato soon explained what happened to Juvia for attacking the wrong member, "Juvia from Fairy Tail B loses one point! She will be put into a 10-second time out and then forced to start again from another part of the arena."

But then again, this competition wasn't something most people would casually be prepared for. I would benefit since I prepare for it but I'm not so this will be our loss.

Then I noticed his Gray body flash teleport out seeing Ur attack him and Lyon causing him to freeze as we hear from the Mato of the news, "Ur gets two points and Gray from Fairy Tail A loses one point. Lyon from Lamina Scale loses one point."

Ouch.

I flinch as Mavis shakes her head commenting on the scene in a defeated tone, "Sigh… it seems like this is going to be our loss."

Erza also voices her agreement in a stern tone but understanding, "He better try but…"

Lucy finishes off Erza's words giving pity for Gray against his sensei in a difficult tone, "Yeah… it would be hard for Gray to challenge or win this one."

Natsu remained silent observing the scene oddly being silent. I would've expected him to lash out but he remained calm till he responded, "In that case, you can leave it to me to get it done if Gray messes up. But I can't feel how he should deal with fighting someone who was their parent in this match."

Wow.

Our eyes landed on Natsu in surprise as he found our gazes at him questioning us, "What? Was it something I said?"

We all shook our heads choosing to remain silent this time witnessing the scene before us. And it was not looking good for Gray seeing how this would unfold.

Sadly, though when I saw Rufus, I knew this was a game set and match. I was able to see Rufus on top of a building as the other contestants were glowing Rufus talked out loud in an overconfident tone, "I remember. Each individual pulse, footsteps, and magical attribute. I remember. I remember it all. Memory Make…"

Erza yells out loud surprised by the magic of Rufus' choice, "Maker Magic!"

*Bifff*

*Bifff*

*Biffff*

*Bifff*

At that moment he finally finished his attack as I witnessed quite the spectacle, "<Memory Make: Night of the Falling Stars>!!"

*Pow*

*Pow*

*Pow*

*Pow*

He managed to harm almost everyone in combat but that was when Lyon managed to avoid the attack yelling back, "That may have gotten those fools! But it won't work on me! <Ice Make: Gorilla Gong>!!"

*Wooosh*

Ice formed creating an ice statue of a moving ape, but we all see that Lyon's attack didn't harm Rufus and his body turned into mist!

Then we all see on the screens closely what Rufus says to Lyon while attacking him earning a point for his team, "That was a memory of my being there."

Sigh…

This match is all but over. Sadly, though Gray won't be winning this. Rough buddy…

~Third POV~

After the last few minutes in the game of Hidden Ruffus remained MVP during the whole game, the other guild members were able to get some points but the majority were gained by Rufus at the end of the game.

The people expected it that much considering the Sabertooth Guild are number 1 Guild in the Kingdom.

During the whole game Rufus was the number one winner and superior Maker Magic Memory type against the majority of the wizards along with the game setup it was an easy win for Rufus to earn his points.

After everything that had been done, Mato was able to announce the points earned during this event shown on the scoreboard of Grand Magic Games total:

1. Sabertooth 10P

2. Crime Sorcery 8P

3. Lamia Scale 6P

4. Blue Pegasus 4P

5. Mermaid Heel 4P

6. Fairy Tail B 2P

7. Fairy Tail A 1P

8. Quatro Cerberus 0P

Everyone in the audience was surprised to see Fairy Tail teams were able to gain some points but when compared to the powerhouses of Sabertooth Rufus they pity them but not mock them since the last place for the event is Quatro Cerberus.

The member from Quatro Cerberus Jager was sad that he couldn't land any attack on many of the contestants since he was attacked by Ur ice magic constructs or her womanly charm seducing the poor man as he was busy facing other contestants.

The Fairy Tail teams were a bit sad but are happy to know they won't be last place forever keeping each other's faith in their family.

Gray and Juvia were a bit sad they couldn't do more, but they held their heads high knowing this game wasn't over yet and they could do better in the next games.

The other guild members from the other guilds were more than determined to aim for the top since even Sabertooth can be defeated since they didn't come in first it only made them want to fight a lot harder for the spot.

Saber Tooth is at first frustrated that they lost to a group of newcomers of Fairy Tail but regained their confidence by winning the first portion of the games as Rufus discusses with his group, "It was nothing I couldn't overcome. Just because they won the preliminaries doesn't mean they'll win the games, everyone. They just got lucky and will show those members of Fairy Tail who's the strongest Guild around!"

The rest of team Saber Tooth look at each other and nod toward Rufus with words of confidence since they have been champions for years.

When Gray returned to his team he was welcomed back with respect and joy knowing he did his best in the event but didn't respond sitting on his seat contemplating the game as everyone let him have his space to think.

But then all the attention of everyone was suddenly brought back to Chapati as he spoke in an excited tone, "Now let's continue! Let me remind you how the battle system works. Each team will participate in one battle against another based on the line-up which the sponsors prepare."

Then Chapati received a letter then he began to read it to everyone present, "Oh, I've received the lineup now. For the first match of day one, we have Fairy Tail A's Lucy Hearthfilia."

From the Fairy Tail team, A Lucy was surprised that she was the first to go, "Me?"

And Silva exclaimed surprised he wasn't picked, "Wait her?! Why not me!"

Lucy sent a small glare at him as he innocently whistled muttering to himself, "Shutting up now."

Lucy gave a small humph in happiness but then paled what it implied quickly taking it back, "No wait you take my turn damn it!"

Ignoring their interaction Chapati continues surprising the group of who's Lucy opponent would be causing the two to stop, "Versus… Crime Sorcery Ultear!"

Everyone from the Crime Sorcery team went silent except for a smiling Ur and Ultear making Chapati say in confusion, "Huh? Why aren't they cheering and why are they quiet?"

Meanwhile, Silva gives Lucy his sympathy about what will happen playing a small violin, "Well it was nice knowing you, Lucy. But break a leg out there!"

She sent a small glare at Silva causing him to remain standing with a smug expression on his face muttering to him in a defeated tone, "Why didn't they choose you for this match…. And why me god damn it!!"

As Lucy questions the gods the audience keeps saying for the fight to unfold, "YEAH! LET THEM FIGHT ALREADY COME ON!"

Meanwhile, at Fairy Tail A group Lucy was getting a little nervous being first to go off against Ultear a former member of Grimoire Hearts that even their guild couldn't stop Hades in the past making her worry about the outcome of the match.

*Pat*

Feeling Natsu's hand over her shoulder he reassured her trying to be confident giving her all the support she could need in trying to cheer her up, "Come on Lucy! You got this in the bag you can't let some nobody mess with you."

Gray finally responded seeing how worried Lucy was next to speak cheering her up, "Yeah, after our training you should have more confidence in yourself."

Silva responded with a sigh but an eager grin giving her the best of luck in a kind tone, "Yeah Lucy, you show them that Fairy Tail number one, we have to win."

Erza was next to speak to her while having her hand on her shoulder expressing her faith in her friend in a determined tone, "Don't worry Lucy, we might not know her current abilities but that won't stop you we all believe that you can win just try your best alright."

With the support of her friends believing in her to win, Lucy steels herself and then replies to her fellow guild mates, "Yeah thanks guys, I will win this no matter what for our friends."

With that everyone from her team was smiling at her Lucy dropped down from her seat onto the coliseum floor while making some distance away from Ultear as she responded, "Now then Lucy. Let's see the training your group came through was worth the effort and my assistance. But I'm afraid this is a battle I can't afford to lose."

*Shiii*

Reading her Magic Power Lucy trembled at the magnitude however calmed herself down thinking to herself holding her Golden Celestial Keys, 'No way…. She's strong… but so am I. The time the Celestial King took from us took from us angered me. But thankfully Silva told me if he can control time and space when I told him of meeting him… And in return, he returned our time thanks to his Magic living in the Celestial Spirit World… things will be different. I'm not the same girl I used to be anymore…'

With that, the two wizards were now facing in front of each other both glaring down to one another waiting for the announcement to commence their fight.
