Chapter 3

Arriving at Iceberg, Kurnugi and Dino landed at a  cave 10 km away from the nearest town.

After making sure that the plce is safe, Kurnugi made Dino sit infront of him.

"Listen Dino, the magic that I'm going to teach you will most probably kill you. So think carefully if you wish to continue or not." Kurnugi said.

Dino who is too excited to finally learn magic didn't care "Just teach me the magic old man."

"You idiot! Did you even listen to what I was saying! You can die in the proccess!" Kurnugi shouted at his idiotic son.

"I only die if I get killed." Said Dino with a serious face.

"THAT'S WHAT DYING IS YOU—! haaa~ why do I even bother." Kurnugi said not caring anymore about his stupidity then procceeded to teach Dino.

"Dino, do you know what is unique about dragons?" Kurnugi asked.

"They're born strong?" Dino said unsurely.

"Kukukuku, well yes that as well. But let me tell you, dragons are also born with only one type of 'magic element'. If you are born a fire dragon, then fire dragon magic is the only magic you can use and that is true to all other dragons. But you humans are different, you are not 'bound' to a single magic or element unless you learn dragon slayer magic that is." Kurnugi said.

"There are currently five known ways to learn dragon slayer magic. The first way is one must be taught by an actual Dragon. The ones who learned their Dragon Slayer Magic through this method are referred to as First Generation Dragon Slayers.he second way is one must have a Dragon Lacrima implanted into their body. The ones who learned their Dragon Slayer Magic through this method are referred to as Second Generation Dragon Slayers.The third way which is a combination of the first two methods: ones who both learned their Dragon Slayer Magic by receiving the teachings of a Dragon and also having Lacrima implanted into their body. The ones who learned how to perform Dragon Slayer Magic by utilizing both methods are referred to as Third Generation Dragon Slayers.The fourth way one can learn Dragon Slayer Magic is through self-taught.The fifth way is for them to consume a Dragon's flesh or an actual Dragon Slayer. The ones who learn Dragon Slayer through this method are referred to as Fifth Generation Dragon Slayers."

"So which way am I going to learn dragong slaying magic? The first one" Dino asked.

"None." Kurnugi said.

"Huh!? What do you mean by that!?" Dino said.

"Just as I said. We will be using a different way." Kurnugi said.

"But you just said that there are only five ways to learn dragon slayer magic!?" Dino said.

"Yes, there are five 'known' ways. It just means those ways are safer than the others." Kurnugi said.

"Then what is the sixth way?" Dino asked.

"I have said earlier that you have talent in 'Take Over' magic right." Kurnugi said.

"Yup. But what is take-over magic in the first place?" Dino said.

Kurnugi then began explaining what 'Take Over' magic is. " Basically,Take Over magic allows the user to, essentially, "take over" the power of an entity and use it to fight. It can increase the power, strength, and speed of the Caster, sometimes adding a new skill, such as flying or breathing underwater. One can only "take over" the power of beings that they truly "know". Currently, there are only 5 distinctively known kinds of Take Overs: Beast Soul, Animal Soul, Satan Soul, Machina Soul, and God Soul."

"Wait! Why is there no Dragon Soul Take Over magic?" Dino asked.

"Good question. The answer is simple. No one was able to 'take over' a dragon, all who tried died. But do not fret child, I have a solution for that." Kurnugi said.

"Huh?! But didn't you say that everyone who tried died." Dino said.

"Yes, that's because their body and soul was not enough to contain the dragon soul. That is also the reason why I tortu- ahem I mean trained you for the past year." Kurnugi said.

'Did this guy just say torture?' Dino thought. "Ok, so you trained my body to withstand a dragons soul. But will the training I did for the past year really be enough?" He said.

"Of course not. If you try to 'take over' a dragon then your body will go kaboom." Kurnugi said flatly.

"Then why the hell are you even teaching me this!? In the first place where can we find a drag—" Dino wasn't able to finish his sentence due to shock and only stared at Kurnugi looking at him like the first time they met. Cold, eyes void of emotions.

"You will be using Take Over magic on me." Kurnugi said coldly.

"But-" Before Dino can continue, Kurnugi spoke first. "Dino, before you speak listen to me first. Yes, you will be using take over magic on me. But not completely. I will 'cut' a part of my soul for you to 'take over', life or death are your only choice." Kurnugi then raised his right claw and made a cutting motion near his chest. A bright light suddenly shone in the cave forcing Dino to cover his eyes.

When the light subsided, Dino saw a small flame the size of a baby's hand floating infront of him. It feels warm but at the same time he feels the huge amount of magic releasing from it. He can feel a sharpness from the flame that can cut even the world itself.

Before he can think of anything else. The flame flew straight to Dino's chest. Before he can even react, he felt an unimaginable pain everywhere his body. He felt his soul being ripped apart by something and fusing with his own.

He started screaming and rolling all around the cave. His body breaking down every second, bones breaking, veins and muscles tearing, blood spilling everywhere in the cave.

Kurnugi was looking at Dino while his chest was bleeding. His eyes were cold, but deep inside there is hidden guilt and worry for the child. He used his claws again and dug a hole in the cave and filling it with his blood.

He then picked up Dino who is still rolling on the floor screaming and tossed him in the blood filled hole.

"The rest is up to you my child. I believe in you." Kurnugi said and left the cave.

I was always baffled with Mirajane and her magic. Like where does she get those Satan souls from? The only episode and chapter where someone was using take over magic was the time Edolas Lissanna died. So is Mira born with those souls that she just unlocks them from time or does she find them somewhere.
