Ch.5 - The Chaos

Maxime returned to the church of zenith and was greeted by a high priest of zenith, named mordul.

"The Saint! what are you doing back here?"

"Weren't you supposed to be in Gloire?" Asks mordul in confusion.

Maxime who travelled by horse and was feeling tired simply replied with a swiping hand gesture.

"I will explain later, I need to talk to our god first." explains Maxime.

Maxime then makes his way towards the statue and kneeled. He then put his hands together and interlocked his fingers before saying a prayer.

Suddenly, a rush of warmth filled the air as the god of the world makes a connection with the people.

"O' God, I have come here to ask you of questions" says Maxime.

A voice then echoed within Maxime's head.

"Hello, my most trustworthy."

"What questions do you bear" asks god.

"The King of Grimoard is the one bearing questions. I am here merely to ask them" answers maxime.

"Go on then, what does he have in mind" god answered.

"The king of Grimoard wishes to know of the demon king's powers and what the Chaos god's methods of attacks." relayed Maxime.

"Ah I see." says god.

"I know of a little about the demon king's power. and the chaos god's method of attack." Answers god

"The chaos god was a god just like me, who had a world It ruled over and loved."

"However, things started to change when the people of his world starts rejecting It."

"That was because, even though It wishes the people well and grants blessings to the people, It did it in a distorted way."

"Every single blessings It had ever given backfired on the people."

"But It could not understand why that was, It was merely granting the people's wishes."

"So how could It be wrong?"

"Then, when It had enough of the rejection, It gave the blessings of the seven to the ones with the most desires and amplified them a hundredfold in order to destroy It's own world."

"The first blessing was the Blessing of Pride, given to a man called Peter. Who is now known to the chaos as The First of The Seven or The Demon King of Pride. The Blessing of Pride gave Peter unparalled power and confidence in one's self. The more confident he is to himself, the more power he can output."

"Next, is the one who will come for our world. A being with the Blessing of Greed. He was called Achan. Now, He is The Second of The Seven or The Demon King of Greed. The Blessing of Greed gave Achan power equal to that of his or the person which he makes a contract with's greed, making The Demon King of Greed dubbed as the strongest in Chaos' arsenal."

"The third is The Blessing of Wrath, Given to a man named Cain. Now known as The Third of the Seven or The Demon King of Wrath. The Blessing of Wrath gave Cain as much health and strength as his wrath. He's considered to be one of the most powerful and feared of the seven."

"The fourth is The Blessing of Envy. Given to a man named Saul, making him The Fourth of the Seven or The Demon King of Envy. The Blessing of Envy gave Saul more power the more he envies."

"The Fifth is The Blessing of Lust. Given to a man named David. The Blessing of Lust gave power equal to The Demon King of Lust's Contractor's Lust alongside his own, making The Demon King of Lust or also know as The Fifth of The Seven, one of the strongest of the Seven."

"The sixth is Gluttony. Easily one of the most fearsome of the seven. The blessing was given to a woman named Eve. Gluttony exists to eat all there is and has destroyed the most amount of worlds compared to the other of the Seven and the reason being is, The Blessing of Gluttony Increases her size and power the more she eats. She is the Demon Queen of Gluttony or The Sixth of The Seven."

"And Lastly, The Seventh of The Seven. The Blessing of Sloth, the lowest ranking of the Seven, Although arguably one of the strongest due to his affinity with his blessing. As the name suggests, the more slothful a person the stronger they are. That, is the power given by the Blessing of Sloth. The man who was given the blessing was too slothful to even remember their own name, and he was referred to as the nameless before getting the title of The Seventh of The Seven, The Demon King of Sloth."

"Now, the chaos's method and reason of attacking worlds are simple."

"Chaos merely wishes to make the people love It."

"There is also one additional Blessing that the Chaos gave.. It was the Blessing of The Damned. The Blessing of The Damned is a blessing given to any and all that dies to the Chaos, adding their souls into The Chaos' arsenal as a damned soul, also known as a demon."

"The demons do not have any option but to love The Chaos. That is the Blessing of Chaos."

"The Chaos not only destroy worlds in order to expand It's people but because of It's envy towards other gods with worlds which has the love of the people."

"That is why the Chaos had came to our world."

"First, The Chaos sends down a Totem of Chaos which has the same power of the statue of zenith, it acts as a link from It's place also known as the void unto the world It wants to destroy."

"The Chaos then lures the residence of the world to feed it mana and magic power using a magic circle which activates a void magic spell in order to activate dark magic circles which would allow the invasion of the Demons."

"The Chaos will start testing a residence of their desires ranging from pride to sloth in order to manipulate the being and depending on what the being answers and follows, The Chaos will send in a Demon King corresponding to the target's desires."

"In the case of our world, someone has been very greedy."

"Once it does that, The Chaos will play a long con until It has gotten enough magic power in order to destroy the world It sets It's eyes on."

"And that is where we are."

"We are simply waiting for It to arrive."

"It has gotten enough magic power to set foot in this world but not enough to destroy it in one go, That is why we are still standing."

"We have to find the magic circle which The Chaos is using and destroy it if we want a fighting chance."

"But for what I've seen of the hero, even if we do that now, it wont be enough."

"We need to hero to be stronger. The arrival is set in two years but if we want to have the most optimal time to fight, It needs to come in around 6 months. Get the hero to your level within that time or we are done for."

"You may leave to answer the King's answers now Maxime. Do not waste time, we are in a rush." demands the world's God.
