Peace

(3rd person POV)

After CJ was killed by Willis he forced everyone who worked with him at gunpoint to leave with nothing, they were exiled with rocks and garbage thrown at them. Nobody offered a helping hand, and they were all chased out of the village.

(TV host)"Should Willis be arrested and charged with murder?!"

(TV guest)"That is rash, it was clearly self defense they needed to remove CJ"

(TV host)"But for an ex-marine to kill a civilian so ruthlessly shows we shouldn't put much faith in his integrity!

The newscasters were showing the part from the screen when they had Willis's view as he stabbed CJ in the jugular. They were focused deeply on the power struggle the screen showed, but the people were more into the drama it had.

(Young man)"Can you believe Willis even kicked the girls out who helped CJ, how can he call himself a man."

(Teenager)"Hey he needed to, they worked with that piece of crap trying to enforce his policies!"

It was a hot topic anywhere, after Willis killed CJ he immediately seized the food and storage. Stripping the followers who worked with CJ of anything useful even including shoes and socks.

The guys who were with Willis included his previous convoy to the village to trade and the people who got beaten. They had enough food for a week after rounding it all up again, the trip to the nearby village really supported the majority of it.

They always were being viewed during the whole event, the exiled group wasn't watched by anyone but they went somewhere out there. In total about 25 people were thrown out, with 7 being girls who traded their bodies for supplies during that time.

For six months following they just all stayed near the village and tried to improve it in various ways, after their trips to nearby villages they also started getting others showing up at their village to trade. It was becoming a more stable form of life with some issues, but mainly they got through it.

They built a small farm area with seeds they got from trading near the river and repaired all homes, the majority of the food they ate came from trading with nearby villages for raw material like lumber.

(TV host)"After the death of Ebon Willis changed the goal of the people, clearly they are no longer looking for an escape to survive."

(TV guest)"Yes, they have never ventured out further out either. The most they go is to towns they know about, it's unfortunate but the majority just want to vote to see the two girls."

(TV host)"Yes, but they did venture the farthest as we know, finding a port city somewhere we believe north of the small coastal village."

(TV guest)"Half of the exiled people died in the last six months, but we don't know why since the votes mainly went to girls and rarely if ever to men. We still have no clue what happened to several people, we should really vote to see where all the few survivors went!"

The two girls who got the majority of the viewer votes, were working as prostitutes in two different areas. Both of them sold themself for supplies and made it to different areas all individually. They, unlike everyone else they tuned in to view, were also not doing boring mundane chores. There was always something exciting to see or go to, or someone interesting speaking with them.
