92 Peaceful day~?

(Dante's POV)

Why is everyone up so early~? I repositioned myself and tried to go back to sleep.

…

Stop thinking I want to sleep the sun isn't up yet~!

…

Wait they want to go back to bed now… I overdid a little~.

I stretched and stopped suggesting them to go sleep. I looked into everyone's mind and noticed that they were happy to go work. Why would someone be happy about it when you can rest, take a nap or sleep at that time~. I don't get it~.

Well since they seem ok, I might finally be able to catch up in my napping time. Lately, I have been sleeping just about 12 hours a day~ way under my usual 20 hours~.

I slept in Dana's bed, it was cozier, and lately Spence and Rose keep having weird thoughts, so don't want to be there if they decide to mate…

Dana was happy about going to school again and brag about what she has learned with me these days. Isabella was combing her hair into a ponytail and was smiling after everything they went through she felt like everything was fine. When they were ready, they went to Spencer's apartment to eat with the others.

I got hungry too. Dana slipped by and got a can of tuna for me… I didn't suggest anything she did it on her own~. Dana, you are an angel~. I enjoyed my meal with everyone else.

I ate happily and thought about what I was going to do while everyone else was working, I could stay here and sleep next to the window… I can go to the roof to sleep there, or I could explore around and look for places to take a nap in the future.

The door was closed, and I noticed that if I stay here and all the others are out, I will be locked inside, so I asked Hope to open it for me. I implanted a simple thought in Gerhard when he saw Hope opening the door for me.

'We need a door for the kitten~.'

That should be enough Gerhard seems to be thinking about it now, this wasn't against the rules that Spencer set so it should be fine. I left the house since the window plan was discarded I went to the roof.

It was too cold~ the sun is still rising, so I will have to explore till I find the right place…

I didn't leave right away, I wanted to be sure that no one is going to need me first… luckily no one called me. Spence thought about it but decided to let me rest for today~.

Now I have a full day for myself. Which place could be warm? A kitchen maybe?

I smelled around I found the smell of meat being cooked and followed it.

The place was near to Hayley's workplace. Right now they were explaining to her how everything usually worked and then ranted about all the advantages that having her meant until they manage to get the fridge to work for real.

I checked what everyone was doing. Rose went to read some weird books, Hope is looking at weapons with Spence, Isabella is nervous because she hasn't worked as a nurse in a while, Dana is introducing herself in front of the class and Gerhard id getting a little tour around the workshop he is going to work.

The smell from a simple restaurant where a guy was making sandwiches.

He looked at me when I came in and was about to kick me out. I made him drop the idea as long as I don't try to get food, I wanted to sleep anyway and what is better than a warm place with a meat smell?

No fish is tasty, but it stinks, meat smell is better.

The owner had his eyes focused on me, but I just find a corner and cuddled there I had to remind him of the meat, or it was going to get burn. The cook found my behavior odd, but ignored me and kept cooking. With the fire going this place was the best to take a short nap for now after sunrise I will look for another place.

I checked on everyone the last time and tried to sleep.

I managed to sleep a little, but I heard a family of three coming inside the small shop.

The parents went towards the owner.

"Hey, boss give me three to go."

The girl was looking around and noticed me.

"A cat!"

She came towards me and started to carefully pet my head. I let her do it.

"He so cute!! He is purring me!"

The girl's father looked at me and asked. The owner.

"When did you get a cat?"

"I don't have a cat, he came this morning, cuddled there and hasn't moved since."

"Dad, can I keep it?"

"I don't know sweetie he seems like a house cat, I think he already has an owner."

The girl looked at me and asked.

"Do you have a family?"

I opened my eyes and nodded to her.

'Yep sorry they are at work right now~.'

The girl that was petting me froze on the spot. And looked at me with her eyes wide open.

The mother noticed her weird behavior and asked.

"Did something happen Hanna? Are you ok?"

"… The cat answered me, he says he has a family…"

Her dad reacted to her words and seemed worried.

"Sweetie are you ok? We can take you to a doctor if you don't feel well?"

"I-I'm fine! the cat really answered in my mind."

Her parents looked at each other, and I didn't want for them to think that their daughter is crazy.

'It's true I talked with her, I'm a telepath~.'

They looked at me, without believing, they thought that another telepath was making fun of them.

'I just want to take a nap, if you don't believe me, you can ask Dr. Harting about Dante in Spencer's group.'

They looked at each other again. The daughter seemed calmer after I talked. Her parents still thought that it was a joke, at least they don't believe that her daughter is crazy anymore.

I don't care anyway, and when the sandwiches were ready, they took them and left.

I was going to fall asleep again when a voice sounded on my head.

'Dante~!'

'Mmm~?'

'Can you come~? It's playtime at school I want to introduce you to my new friends~!!'

Sigh~. It was a little more than that.

'Ok~.'

I stretched and made a little bow to the owner before leaving.

I walked to the school. I have been here before, Hope hid me in her backpack to show off how cute I was a couple years ago, I remember that I was terrified. Since I can dive into other people memories, I can do the same in mine, so If I can't recall something I just go inside my head to look at it, so you can say that I remember everything I have seen in my 5 years of life.

I went inside and found Dana with a bunch of kids as small as her. I also knew that someone else was keeping an eye on them.

"See! I told you he was on his way!"

She came towards me and took me in her arms.

Apparently, a talking cat wasn't something you can see every day, even after the meteor shower, so some of her classmates didn't believe her. Some called me an imaginary friend when she told them about me, and a guy called her a liar and said that I didn't exist. That was when Dana called me for them to believe.

"You are real!" another girl came and started to pet my head.

'What happened with the class~?'

"The teacher didn't feel well, so they need someone else to come here." Another guy explained, he seemed to be more mature than the others, and he is 9 years old, he still felt weird talking to a cat, but for kids, it was easier to accept than for adults.

'What class do you have now~?'

'Math~.'

I thought about it a moment…

I can teach that~ I have been doing it for a couple of days already… it can't be that difficult right?
