"What!?" The elder monk exclaimed, but not because of the darkness surrounding him, but because of the huge set of glowing eyes that stared at him in the darkness.
"What is this!?"
The more he stared into the huge set of eyes that glanced at him from what seemed to be a distance, the more he felt disoriented, almost as though they placed a hypnotic effect over him.
Instinctively, the elder monk immediately removed his hand from Rentaro's shoulder. In reality he began sweating profusely, like he had just awakened from his worst nightmare.
"Elder!" The other monks exclaimed, rushing towards the elder monk's side as this behavior was simply not normal.
"Get away from him." One of the monks inquired, urging Rentaro to step backwards away from the elder monk as his sights were fixated on him since this strange behavior occured.
"What's happening?" Shun Li questioned with a great concern.
