"Because, one of the intruders reported to the princess, is the same man that attacked us after the selection."

"What!?" Rentaro exclaimed.

"I thought the Soul-Hunter's association had him in their custody?" He added.

"That seemed to be the case, but it appears he escaped. The last thing I remember before he knocked all of us out was him trying to kill us. After escaping it's obvious he knew where to find us, the Soul-Hunter's exam." With crossed arms, Mizuko explained as he stared out the window.

Recalling the events that led to his second awakening, Rentaro recalled their assailants questioning how they were still alive. After awakening and defeating him, he had no reason to ponder why he killed their previous inhabitants in the first place.
