Chapter 20: Getting This Started.

'Lets get this started.'

The flow of red mana began to surround me and the area along with the flow of time changing back to its normal flow.

I felt the speed going through an upgrade.

A speed which I was able to avoid the monsters attacks.

The ant queen finally made a move.

The monster attacks with its feet, trying to squash me with high speed.

But i avoided it just in time.

I felt familiar with the music play as it began to get louder.

Each beat felt like vague nostalgia.

Kwan jihu, who was still in the sky, felt familiar to the sudden change i had.

'...'

The monster continued to attack, swinging its feet and stumping it onto the ground repeatedly.

'Hold on...'

'What am i supposed to do here again...?'

I thought as i felt question marks forming.

Forgetfulness can be so troublesome in a situation like this.

'Uhhh....'

As i began to think while trying to avoid the monsters attack, A red screen once again appeared in front of me.

[ New Ability Activitation loading... ]

'HUH?'

I stared at the red screen and began to ponder.

[ Ability; Autoplay is now activated! ]

'Auto...play?'

Suddenly, A strike was felt inside my body, A strike within familiarity.

My body began to move on its own and the music was played much louder.

It was only a few seconds before the music started and my mouth began to sing unconsciously.

[ Song chosen; Rhythmic fields of gray ]

The song started in a cold tone.

♪ Oh... Cold breeze.. ♪

I sang as my hand moved to my chest.

'What the!! I can't move-'

I thought as i continued to sing.

♪ Rhymmic fields, why are you so... windy today? ♪

The tone began to slowly crack to a clean-like tone.

'It felt like some kind of controller that controlled my body or something-'

'....'

'Huh... so this is what it's like to get controlled.'

I thought as i felt like i don't give a fu- *Cough *Cough

On the other hand, The monster began to attack differently as it stood for a while.

The monster looked like something was about to puke out of its mouth.

♪ Oh fields... The moving fields... HARDENED FEELS OF THE ENDLESS FIELDS.. ♪

The music got louder, and the beat was lined up perfectly to the song.

[ Volume percentage; 64* ]

I looked at the monster closely as i sang, It looked like the creature was throwing up something white.

Finally, The creature puked something... something that shapes an oval shape....

'Hold on...'

'Is that a larva egg!!!!??'

I thought as i watched the horrendous creature while singing.

It began to throw up larva eggs, the eggs smelled like rotten expired rice food and formed green and white sticky sludge-like slime.

I felt the horrendous disgust and 'wanting to throw up' feeling as i continued to watch the creature throwing up at least 500 of them or more.

The smell got worse as it began to travel around the area.

Even kwan jihu showed a disgusted expression just because of it!

The smell and atmosphere worsened, but that didn't stop me from singing... Well obviously because i was controlled by something.

Suddenly, the eggs began to crack..

"Gah!

"Gahh.."

"Ah!"

Smaller ants inside the eggs began to show up in the outside world.

'Ah...'

'Wait, Aren't larva eggs supposed to crack in a much, much later time? And why is the ant queen giving birth to them by puking???'

I thought confusingly

My body began to move swiftly around the ant queen and its babies.

I don't know why i haven't been able to kill off the monster and its little ones yet, but I'm trusting the autoplay this time to kill them off.. i mean, what choice do i have anyway?

Finally, An electric impact of mana began to form at the right side of my arm.

My arm unconsciously took something out of it as the beat continued to flow.

Suddenly, the volume got louder.

[ Volume percentage; 72* ]

'Is....is that a weapon!?'

I thought as I unconsciously took the weapon from the electric impact.

'No wait... Is that a scythe!!??'

I began to panic as i held the weapon and continued to sing in a cracked tone.

♪ Weeping, like weeping, darkness filled within its fields..♪

[ Survival percentage rate; 46% ] [Red]

The red system appeared replying to me.

'Huh?'

The little ants from the larva eggs began to attack, squirking acid in my direction.

They also began to move, and tried to attack me by jumping.

The ant queen also continued to attack, squirking acid, along with trying to attack with its feet.

All of the screeched.

But my body unconsciously blocked all of the attack using the weapon i held.

I swung the scythe.

♪ Ooohh... Ohh....- Ooh... oh. ♪

'Swish!'

The controller inside me began to feel the seriousness of the battle.

♪ Loneliness is troublesome, in a way i could feel.. ♪

The only thing i ever did when i got controlled was moving around the monster in circles, so it's a first when it finally made a move now.

The scythe swung at the tiny newborn babies, it cut their heads in half.

Some of them avoided the attack sadly.

♪ Oh.... how tragic.. ♪

Finally, the watch i was wearing began to ding in silent noises, obviously because the music was so loud it only silently dinged like a bell.

The scythe swung right back at me as it finished killing at least 20 ant-like babies as I sang.

♪ The grass moves within the swift of wind, darkness befall in thee, in the fields of the horizon. ♪

The smell from the scythe worsened....

But in this situation, it doesn't matter.

The ant queen screeched once again, It hasn't even been past a few minutes and yet were already at its wits end.

[ Your doing so great kim! (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠) ]

The blue system appeared and replied to me.

The monster squirked a lot of more acid this time, along with its antennas to directly message the little ants to continue to attack aswell.

I stared at the system with an expression of seriousness.

I didn't notice this before but, ever since the red glow of mana was surrounded around me, i have been expressing different kinds of expressions for the first time, i guess i was no longer expressionless, only when the skill is activated.

What's so powerful about the ant queen anyway? How come its rank is either B-A?

Obviously, it's the queen of course, it can make billions of babies when needed to.

Besides, the queen bites hard.

♪ Nevertheless, I hated the fact this would befall me. ♪

My expression began to change horrendously as i listened to the music beat.

'Woah...'

The music began to hit like fire, in a way i could feel only the beat moving.

It directly destroyed my distractions of the monsters and the situation itself.

Meaning, listening more to the music then watching my body move on its own while attacking the creature.

I smiled creepily, I forgot that i was singing the entire time.

The song itself was only 4 minutes long, and we were already half of the song.

♪ Oooohhh..... ♪

The music stopped right there before the beat instantly flowed faster and louder.

The music was so loud, that the other students who were still in the dungeon can be heard!

It was a song i made with a hit of fire in the half way of the song.

A song i used to make in my past life.

Nostalgia hit me while singing more than 2 minutes of the song.

'Oh...'

'I guess i won't mind singing truly this time.'

I sang with the song that controlled me.

I closed my eyes....

My heart was beating so much with the beat.

I was already.... filled with the music, inside my body, my mind and heart.

I continued to smile, and opened my eyes with a hint of fire.

In this entire time i was only distracted, but the hit of the song made me want to sing along with it.

'That part really hits!!!'

I began to swung my scythe back and forth, so much it broke into two parts to kill more of the creatures.

The creature screeched once more.

Nothing beats this song, as each flow of instruments gets louder.

The song was filled with a squint of darkness and at the same time the Rhythem was flowing of cleanliness, It was a song mixed with the modern and a song mixed with the old times.

I was inspired by the songs from the internet that i made this one... It was also the first song i officially made.

♪ THE ATMOSPHERE WAS POISON, AND THE FIELDS WERE RHYTHMIC GRAY ♪

I jumped onto the skies and attacked the ant queen.

The scythe was still swinging around the smaller ants, along with the other one aswell, killing them each.

♪ RHYTHMIC GRAY.... ITS FIELDS AND SKIES WERE DARK. AND ITS BETHRON OF THE HORIZON....I  WISH...♪

The scythes swung back at me, i took and fixed the two broken scythes to one and pointed at the huge creature.

Finally, i swung it.

♪ I WISH FOR THE CHANGE OF HORIZON, THE RHYTHMIC FIELDS DISPLAY ♪

The scythe cut the ant queen's head like slicing a piece of apple.

The creature screeched, the babies screeched also.

I jumped back onto the ground again, and ran fast unto each larva. killing them with my weapon in the process.

I smiled horrendously, Feeling the music for the first time.

I was happy.

I was filled with leisure.

I was somewhat obsessed.

[ Error! Error! Error! ] [ Red ]

My eyes glowed even more as I sang.

♪  WHY DOES IT FEEL SO DARK WHEN IT COMES TO THE FIELDS OF THE GRASS!? ♪

♪ I SHOULD'VE KNOWN, I NEVER TELL... THE FIELDS OF THE GRASS OF THE HORIZON, I WAS ALREADY FILLED OF VAIN. ♪

♪ DISTAIN OF LIFE, KILL EACH TIME, THE FIELDS ARE ALREADY FILLED WITH DARKNESS ♪

Each beat was like each kill, I was obsessed and already filled with the music inside of me.

My eyes widened in a way of evilness.

Killing each one was an obsession with this music.

I loved it for some reason.. And i can't help it.

Before i knew it, the song ended.

♪ Oh... the rhythm of each horizon.. ♪

♪ The rhythmic fields of gray. ♪

♪ darkness filled the horizon.. ♪

♪ And the rhythmic field of gray... ♪

I stood on top of the ant queen's massive head.

My eyes were still glowing before it slowly went to its original plain black color.

The red flow of mana along with the 2d mana sound waves, flow of calculation and the others slowly disappeared aswell.

My energy drained instantly to a lower level, all of my unknown strength,speed and energy was gone instantly.

Suddenly, exhaustion hit me, and i began to breathe for air.

I felt my consciousness coming back as i shook my head.

I looked around the area, it was already filled with blood and squished ant heads.

[ Red ] [ Error fixed! Survival rate; 100! ]

Kwan jihu, who was still in the sky, expressed in a serious manner, but is somewhat impressed.

The smell in the atmosphere worsened, and i had to cover both my mouth and nose despite needing the breath of air.

I slowly walked out of the worsened atmosphere, a fog filled with the smell of dead ants and expired rice food.

The students who heard the impact of the music went to the fields to check what's going on.

I began to hear the students chatter and fully walked out of the area filled with dead ants.

I shook my head once more and squinted my eyes.

I noticed the students who were clapping at me.

The students who saw me, cheered and shouted.. But at the same time, i puked unto the ground.

The students stopped their cheering as they noticed me puke.

'The smell was exacerbated then i thought it would be... so much that the fact i puked....' I thought as i continued to puke more.

"Gah...."

Finally i stopped puking, and wiped my saliva from my mouth.

I looked around my body, my jacket was torn apart from the squirked acid.

It already made lots of holes on top of that too.

'I think it's time to buy a new jacket.'

I thought.

Kwan jihu, Jumped onto the ground.

Thump!

I was startled along with the students watching as well.

'Ack!'

'Jeez that scared me-'

Kwan jihu looked at me with a cold and serious expression, but nodded.

Kwan jihu was somewhat impressed by my talent and performance while he was standing on a skull in the sky.

It was like some entertainment show just for kwan jihu to watch.

Eventually, he slowly walked to a different direction and went back to the forest-like jungle.

I also slowly watched him walk back inside the jungle.

The students who were there were stunned but went back to their chatter and cheering.

"Kim!"

"That battle was epic!!!"

"You did a good job kim!!"

As the students continued to clap and cheer, a familiar figure walked in my direction.

It was teacher alec.

"Yoo, kim, What kind of show did you do? I mean, the area there is filled with disgusting fog."

"The impact of strong mana flow affected the dungeon so much i had to go inside to investigate it, the dungeon outside the world was glitching repeatedly. Were you the one who did this?"

"Uh...."

I muttered silently, reverting my eyes to a different direction for nervousness and embarrassment.

"Kim, May i see your watch?"

"Huh? Oh...uh sure."

I mumbled as i showed my watch to him.

He was stunned and impressed.

"You've done a good job, kim!"

He spoke as he smiled enthusiastically.

"Welp, times up anyway. Lets go back. Everyone follows me!" Alec spoke.

The students began to follow the teacher while chattering.

I also followed him, looking down at my feet and checking my watch.

'Ah.... So that's why he was stunned....'

I thought.

I slowly followed along with the other students and went back to the outside world.

'AIR....'

I thought as i breathed heavily of relief.

"Alright class, show off your scores!"

Teacher alec spoke enthusiastically.

All of the students showed off their scores, some of them were impressed by their scores, some were disappointed.

i also showed mine aswell.

"Seems like our 3rd highest score here today is our student, Grace!"

"2nd highest; Alexander Grace!"

"And finally, our highest score in today's group project is our transfer student, kim!"

The students began to clap and cheer.

'Huh?'

'What now?'

I thought as i filled up question marks inside my head.

I was still in a daze of what happened, but I suddenly got called by the teacher, so it was a bit startling.

"Alright class, lets get back to our dorms, the sun is almost setting!"

'Late already???'

My head filled even more question marks.

"Follow me!"

We followed the teacher back to the school and eventually went to our dorms.

I went inside my bedroom and slapped myself onto the bed.

'Y,know what, let's just forget what just happened and go back to sleep.....'

I thought as i yawned exhausted.

But before i could get a wink of sleep, A red screen appeared and startled me to death!

I stood for a while as i read and stared at the red system blankly.

'....Huh?...'
