Errol Vs Zastin

Observing Zastin after our initial clash, I realized I might need to take this fight more seriously. I decided to check my status that I had been maintaining for the past year.

[Name: Yuuki Errol
Abilities:
Tracing
Hyper intuition
Regeneration
Mind Wall
Skills:
The Kick that Touches the Soul Lvl 6
Pure Path Deity Transformation Stage Technique Lvl 10
Meteor Fist Lvl 16
Sword Intent Lvl 9
Predator Shot Lvl 13
Gacha
Inventory:
Bag of Senzu Beans
IS Core
Endless Water Bottle
Random Devil Fruit
...]

In terms of cultivation, I had reached a significantly high level. At this stage, I had attained the pinnacle in some minor worlds in the cultivation realm. I considered this quite an achievement, considering I had no external resources to aid me.

Currently, I could power my attacks to casually destroy a mountain dozens of times before running out of energy.

Looking at Zastin, I could tell he was also at this stage. After all, Devilukians are known for their formidable strength in the universe. I suspected Zastin had been holding back a lot during the anime to avoid causing excessive destruction and unnecessary death during his fight with Yami.

Yami was also said to have the power to split a world in two when her power partially awakened, which further proved she was also restraining herself during their fights. Even with her power sealed, Rito was lucky that she lost interest in killing him and had Lala's protection. Otherwise, he would be dead by now.

In terms of my own growth, Endless Battle Dance had evolved into The Kick that Touches the Soul - a rather ridiculous name, I know, but it did what it said. I could now kick those ghost-like beings and even kill them.

Due to the immense power of Meteor Punch, I hadn't used it much during my monthly fights, instead opting for normal punching techniques. My sword could now use Sword Intent, which was essentially sharp energy that caused cuts wherever it went.

Itachi-style throw technique had evolved into Predator Shot. Most shots were like an animal hunting its prey - no matter where they went, it would always follow them and hit them. In short, it was a homing type technique that used my energy.

Last year, I used my Gacha and got a random Devil Fruit. Honestly, I didn't know what to do with it. It could certainly grant me some kind of superpower, but it would take away my ability to swim if the curse still worked here. Moreover, it didn't hold much appeal to me since I could almost do anything.

I had comprehended quite a bit of law in my free time, so I could control and manipulate some elements to an extent. However, at most, I could only create a normal fireball level, since I hadn't put much effort into these, thinking my power was enough.

Returning to the present, I looked at Zastin and projected a katana. I rarely used it because it made my life somewhat monotonous.

In the absence of Gaia or Gaia consciousness in this world, my projection could remain in the world for an almost indefinite time - like denial of nothingness. I said 'almost' because they were made up of energy and would surely run out one day, so they would still disappear. But for how long? Perhaps a couple of months if not being used.

These projections were just a bunch of energy imitating the structure of things, compared to the first true magic, which was made out of nothing. But hey, these imitations could work as well as, or even better than, the real ones.

Zastin looked surprised at the sudden appearance of my blade.

"I see you're not a normal human, are you? You're also a swordsman, like me," he observed.

Zastin spoke, observing me as I gradually unleashed more of my strength. As an experienced warrior, he noticed the change but couldn't quite identify its source.

"It seems you are stronger than I initially thought. I apologize for underestimating you. I should take this more seriously," he said.

With that, I took the initiative this time, dashing towards him and slashing horizontally, which he blocked. We continued to exchange blows, our speed increasing to the point where we appeared as blurred images to the untrained eye.

I jumped back, launching my Sword Intent at him, which he countered with his own energy attack. Our attacks collided and neutralized each other.

After a brief pause, I dashed towards him again. He observed my movements, trying to anticipate my next move. As I got close enough for his sword to reach me, I used my imitation of Mana to burst twice, changing my direction to the side and then forward.

Zastin was taken aback by the sudden shift and was too late to react to my outburst. Before he knew it, my blade was at his neck.

"I win," I declared, grinning at him.

"You surprised me with your swordsmanship. Your physical capabilities are even stronger than some Devilukians. Are you sure you're not a descendant of one?" he asked, accepting defeat and expressing relief that Lala had found a fiancé strong enough to protect her.

"Nah, I'm sure I'm human. Just a special one," I replied with a grin, retracting my sword and placing it back in my inventory.

"Yuuki Errol, I accept my defeat and will report it to my king. You don't need to worry about my defeat causing you trouble. However, that doesn't mean others won't try to challenge you. Please be careful."

"Thanks for the warning, but I can handle myself," I reassured him.

He turned to Lala, "Lala-sama, I ask for your forgiveness for my previous blunder of ignoring your wishes. I should take my leave now."

"Don't worry about it. I forgive you," Lala replied with a bright smile, relieved to see our peaceful exchange and knowing I was strong enough to protect myself.

Zastin then took his leave, and Lala and I began to chat as we walked towards my house. Our conversation continued along the way, light and easy.

The fight with Zastin was one of the most satisfying ones I've had. Most of my monthly opponents felt like emotionless robots, programmed to fight me to my limit. But Zastin was different. Our fight was charged with emotions, making it more engaging.

As we reached my house, I knocked to announce our arrival and opened the door, only to be met by the intimidating gaze of Raikou. Lala, unaware of the tension, tilted her head in confusion.
