Chapter 25: Cryo Regisvine!

Having accepted the commission from Mr. Duraf, Lumine carefully inquired about the Cryo Regisvine's information from the hunting team, including its size and the tactics it employed when attacking them.

Unfortunately, the members of the hunting team knew little about the Cryo Regisvine. 

Unable to gather much information, they decided, after having lunch in Springvale, to be led by members of the hunting team to the site where the Frost Tree was discovered.

"Brother Daoyi, let's go too. Since the Cryo Regisvine could freeze Olaf three hundred years ago, maybe it could preserve some ingredients from three hundred years ago as well! Besides, perhaps the Cryo Regisvine can also create delicious dishes!" 

Xiangling was very interested in the Cryo Regisvine, and so was Paimon. In Liyue, there were similar plant-type monsters, but those were Blaze Bushes, located at the junction of Tianqiu Valley, Cuiyu Slope, Luhua Pool, and Dunyu Shrine, under the protection and surveillance of the Qianyan Army.

To Xiangling's proposal, Wang Daoyi naturally did not refuse. Since he had no hobbies besides reading books, seeing the real thing now would be excellent.

"No problem, but you should ask Lumine first. She's the one who accepted the commission!" 

Although they would go along even without Lumine's consent, it was more polite to obtain her agreement.

He, Wang Daoyi, was a polite person, as Zhongli could attest.

Lumine agreed to have them accompany her. Even though she was confident in her abilities, having free help was still a good thing.

After discussing with Lumine and saying goodbye to Mr. Durauf, who was chatting warmly with his ancestor Olaf, the four of them returned to the small inn where they had rested the previous day.

At noon, Xiangling borrowed the inn's kitchen and cooked a delicious meal for everyone, with Lumine also helping with the cooking.

Unexpectedly, Lumine had a natural talent for cooking. Just by watching Xiangling cook, she learned the recipes for several dishes.

"Lumine, if you focus on learning cooking, you'll definitely become a superb chef!" 

Xiangling earnestly said.

Lumine smiled and declined, saying that her greatest wish was still to find her brother.

In the afternoon, the group was ready to depart at the entrance of Springvale Town. Lumine was still the same, carrying only a blunt sword and with Paimon perched on her head.

Xiangling, on the other hand, carried her long spear, a simple iron spear that was barely stronger than Lumine's blunt sword.

As for Wang Daoyi, he still had the jade Law Ball given to him by Xingqiu. 

Back at the entrance of Springvale, Mr. Duraf was already waiting with several members of the hunting team.

They would be the guides for this journey. 

The place where the hunting team found the Cryo Regisvine was very far away.

After trekking through the woods for several days, they finally arrived at a cave.

"We heard Mr. Olaf's cry for help here. From here, through the passage, we can reach the ruins where the Cryo Regisvine is located."

The cave was deep, but not very steep. Wang Daoyi silently calculated that they were probably near the Dawn Winery, close to the high mountain cliffs near Stone Gate.

After walking for a long time and dealing with quite a few bouncing slimes, they finally saw a man-made structure ahead.

Unlike in the game where they would have to solve puzzles and overcome obstacles, after entering the ruins and turning a few corners, they saw the Cryo Regisvine curled up in front of them from afar.

"Wow, this should be it!"

"It's indeed enormous."

Lumine and Paimon exclaimed.

It was a huge blue-and-white monster plant. Even though it was curled up now, it still looked over three meters tall.

It grew in the open ruins, like a giant guardian guarding treasure.

Perhaps the two of them waking up the sleeping monster with their exclamation, the Cryo Regisvine lifted its crown and stretched out its massive body, even larger than what Wang Daoyi and the others had predicted, fully extending to seven or eight meters tall.

Just like an animal, the Cryo Regisvine roared at Wang Daoyi and the others, although there was no sound, a raging ice surge erupted from the crystal at the top of the tree.

Even though they were still more than ten meters away from the Cryo Regisvine, Wang Daoyi still felt the temperature drop sharply as the Cryo Regisvine roared.

"This is not right. This Cryo Regisvine should be quite old, and its elemental power is very strong."

Then, the jade Ball floated to Wang Daoyi's side, and a series of bright yellow geo elements emerged, forming a shield around everyone.

"Xiangling, use your fire elements to attack the elemental core of the Cryo Regisvine at its roots. That's its weak point. Lumine, use the wind to spread Xiangling's fire."

Wang Daoyi naturally took over the command, then glanced at Paimon. "Paimon, find a safe place to hide and be careful not to get accidentally hurt!"

Paimon nodded, knowing that she had no combat power, and had already picked a hidden spot. 

Lumine and Xiangling charged towards the Cryo Regisvine, shielded by Wang Daoyi's elemental shield. They aimed straight for the elemental core at the base of the Cryo Regisvine.

With the vision shining around her waist, Xiangling's spear ignited instantly, emitting blazing flames like a torch, radiating light and heat.

Although Lumine didn't have a vision, just a wave of her hand created a hurricane.

The swirling hurricane picked up the flames from Lumine's spear tip, turning the originally green wind into a fiery red.

In their first cooperation, they created a huge tornado of flames with perfect coordination.
