Chapter One Hundred Twenty Two

Hani glanced at Marcus who was doing his schoolwork. She walked away from the living room, towards her study and closed the door slowly.

"How is she?"

“It seems pretty bad. The ambulance medical team said it looked like Macy's vocal cords were injured and swollen. That would make it difficult for her to speak. Others still need to be checked.”

Shit, this is bad news. It feels like they've only been apart for less than two hours, but Jared calls her and gives her the bad news. She really wanted to go to the hospital or maybe the police station to make sure that the woman was immediately put behind bars. But she couldn't. Marcus is with her. And she didn't want to worry the boy.

“Then what about Katy?”

“The police came and immediately took her to the police station. Hani, you have to make sure that woman can't touch Macy or even Marcus. What is she doing… I may not have seen how the woman hurt Macy but I can confirm that the woman is insane.”
