the box In the basement

( shibuya subway station 6:00 pm)

It was dark and warm,  with cars drifting up and down the beautiful and captivating street of shibuya.

Trying hard to lit his cigarette, yami got frustrated crushing the soft stick inbetween his fingers..

Taking a deep breath,  he decided to walk down the underground stairs leading directly to the subway station beneath him..

It was so cold and freezing, and he needed to lit his cigarette so bad.

" damn it " he muttered frustrated as he collapsed into the nearby rusted metal seat beside him  .

The dim lights blinked like it could go off at any moment .

" tsk...  I hate it when it's cold show yourself moron " 

Like a little rumble the station began to quake gently, and soon it became intense..

A smirk appeared on yami's face

" there you are " ...

The wall behind him cracked opened,  and a sharp and scaly claw forced it's way out trying to grab his neck from behind.

As if he was expecting that,  yami swiftly moved away dodging the surprise attack.

While unsheathing his dual sword ...

A loud grunt and and scream echoes the once silent station , revealing a huge and intimidating monster.

Having it's eyes glowing deep red, like a hot coal,  and it's huge muscle that often makes a clicking sound.

Yami knew this was a special grade sin,

And it's either kill or be killed.

Yami raised his sword , sending a blast of mystical energy towards the monstrous creature that was approaching him.The monster let out a deafening roar as the magic collided with its hulking form, causing it to stagger back for a moment.

With a quick incantation,

" Abide and endure... dark haven!!! "

a swirling energy surrounded yami,  momentarily shielding him from the monster's relentless advance. He knew he had to act fast before the creature overpowered him with its sheer size and strength.

" tsk..   "

Gripping his dual sword tightly, yami focused his energy and unleashed a barrage of spells, each one lashing out with crackling power towards the monster. The creature roared in pain and fury, but yami remained resolute, his eyes burning with determination as he fought to protect the people above.

As the battle raged on in the dimly lit subway, yami knew that he couldn't hold out for much longer. But just as he felt his strength waning, a glimmer of hope appeared in the form of a blinding light, illuminating the tunnel and causing the monster to recoil in fear.

Yami seized the opportunity and unleashed his most powerful spell , he threw his dual sword into mid air clasping his palms together.  channeling all of his remaining energy into his hands .

" final haven, room of destruction!!  "

Like a drop of water , it all became silent the habitat was dark and void , yami sat on a throne made out of shadows,  while the monster stood clueless unaware of what was to happen next.

" destroy "

Thousands of blades charged with great speed cutting down every single thing and objects,  within its range,  shredding every ounce of life into pieces  .

The monster let out a final, agonized screech before dissolving into nothingness, leaving the subway tunnel silent once more , the surrounding was back to normal.

With the danger averted, yami took a moment to catch his breath, his heart still racing from the intense battle. As he made his way back to the surface, he knew that his work as an executor of sins was far from over. But for now, he had earned a brief respite, knowing that he had saved the subway from impending doom..

The shower tap rushes,  suddenly it stopped and the door swung open .

Taking a deep breath,  Renji walked towards the dining table , with his towel tied to his waist.

Step step.. Another step, a cricking sound echoes as he opened his godforsaken refrigerator,  bringing out his almost expired noodles.

" damn it " he cursed as his stomach rumbled rejecting the pack in his hand.

" Ahh I'm so hungry since I got my pay,  I could buy lots of new noodles " he thought aloud, with his face brightened.

Shortly he was ready , he stared at the frame of his late parents hunged up on the wall before reaching to the door .

" hey stupid "

" hello Levi "

" what's up ? "

" going to buy some noodles,  I think I got bad ones at home "

Sounding excited. . 

" come to the school ground we've got something interesting to show you "

Renji was surprised to receive a call from his two classmates, levi and Yui , asking him to meet up in the school ground. It was a strange request, but Renji was always up for an adventure. He quickly purchased his noodles and headed out to the designated meeting spot

As he made his way through the dense forest, Renji couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. The school ground had an eerie and ominous atmosphere, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. Nevertheless, he pressed on, eager to see what Levi and yui had in store.

After what felt like an eternity, Renji finally reached the clearing where his classmates were waiting. They greeted him with a mischievous grin . Levi and Yui dragged him towards the underground basement , holding a lamp.

" where are we going? " Renji asked with a confused yet exciting expression.

" shhh we are almost there " Levi whispered giving a quick glance at Yui who is taking the lead .

She's always the bravest, to make decisions and take risks.

They had heard rumors of a ghost hidden somewhere in the depths of the basement, and being the adventurous thrill-seekers that they were, they couldn't resist the opportunity to explore and prove the rumors true or false.

Renji dipped his hands into his pockets looking unbothered nor giving a single damn care in the world, while Levi nervously clutched onto the flash light in his hand.

As they moved further into the underground maze of hallways and storage rooms, their footsteps echoed off the walls , suddenly sending shivers down their spines.

" relax guys it's just our step " Yui assured still taking the lead..

They continued to venture deeper into the underground labyrinth, each step filled with trepidation and excitement.

After what felt like an eternity, they finally stumbled upon a small, dusty room hidden in the furthest reaches of the basement. In the center of the room, illuminated by the beam of Yui's lamp , sat a mysterious object - a tarnished, ornate box that seemed to pulsate with an otherworldly energy.

As they approached the box, they could feel a chill in the air and a sense of foreboding that made their skin crawl. The temptation to open the box and discover its secrets was strong, but they hesitated, knowing that they were treading into dangerous territory..
