CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR

IN LE GRANDE'S HOUSE HOLD

Daine and Daphne walked away into the house with smiles brimming on their faces.

Immediately they sighted elder Le grande sitted on his favorite chair as always. Daphne dashed towards him and hugged him.

"Grandpa I've missed you." She said sheepishly. Ever since the elder banned Frederick's family from entering the household. Her relationship with her Grandpa had improved.

She slipped her hand into her bag and brought out a royal blue envelope ✉, she stretched it to her grandpa. Which he collected, eyeing it suspiciously.

"Father, Daphne and Limuel is getting engaged next weekend. And they want to use the courtyard for the party.". Daine spoke up.

Elder Le grande gave out a very charming smile. He was exceptionally happy with this granddaughter of his.

"Alright, I approve of it." He said, making Daphne to squeak with joy.

"Thank you Grandpa, where is Grandmother, I can't wait to share the news with her."

"Your Grandmother is resting inside."

Daphne ran up immediately to greet her grandmother. Josie Lunar was rather a passive person when it came to family issues. Her heart broke when her first child was sent out of the enterprise. Ever since then, she had been mute whenever it came to family issues. She was going to talk one day, but, not today.

The door swung open and Daphne walked in.

"Grandmother, your granddaughter is getting engaged." Daphne screamed.

"Is that Desi?" She asked as she was yet to see the person who entered the room. This earned her a frown from Daphne.

She quickly replaced it with a smile and said.

"No Grandma it's Daphne."

"Daphne dear, grandma is so proud of you." She said with a smile. And Daphne hugged her in appreciation.

"Now, if you would leave the old woman, she needs her rest." Josie said.

"Alright Grandmother." Daphne said and went out.

Immediately Daphne left, her face became gloomy. She did not particularly like this granddaughter of hers. Desi was her favorite. The girl had taken after her beauty. She was Josie Lunar. The clan which she had come from worshipped the moon. Which earned them the last name 'Lunar'. And, they were blessed with beauty. Josie knew she had a secret, which she had never told anyone, not even her husband.

After immediately Desi was born, she felt an attraction to the moon once more. She had gone to the hospital and carried her in her own arms. That night, the moon shone brightly as there was a full moon.

She smiled and called the girl, 'Desiree' which meant " desired".

She had added her last name 'Le grande' which also meant 'the great"'.

This brought about the name 'Desiree Le grande'------'wanted or desired the great'. The girl had smiled when her grandmother gave her that name. And, Josie knew for sure that her granddaughter would be a beauty goddess.

She snapped back to reality and smiled, muttering the words "DESIRED THE GREAT."

Desi blushed as she read the next chapter of the book she had been reading. Her cheeks turned pink. This was the act of seduction. She had bought a book on how to prepare yourself for your first sex. She had read a lot of nasty things there and she couldn't just bear it.

How was she going to pull this off she asked in her mind.

She closed the book and brought the next titled. "HOW TO SEX A GUY YOU DON'T LOVE."

This was too much for her. Maybe she should just ask her mom.

"ahhhhh" she cried out. Sooner or later she had to do this with Michael. How was she going to face him?

She finally gave up and slept.

She waa awoken by the heavy knocks she heard on the door.

"Dinner is ready ma." she heard from outside.

She came down the stairs hoping to see Michael but she didn't. She wondered where he could be. After having dinner the butler told her that Michael wouldn't be coming home because he flew out of the country on an emergency business deal.

She nodded and headed to the room.

The next day, Desi was in the class waiting for the lecture to commence when she spotted a figure looking through the door. As if he was searching for someone. She immediately recognized him.

"The restaurant guy!" She hid under the desk. Acting as discreet as she can. After a while the guy left.

'Phew' that was close.
