CEO.....

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

Early in the morning. Michael who was dressed in an office attire walked into the Kingstons Corporation. All the employees all lined up to greet and welcome him. This was so because that was his first day at work.

His assistant Humphrey, followed behind while reading out a list of the work load left for him. All the female employees made sure that they dolled up well. Who knows? Young Master Kingston might take a fancy in them.

They all held their breath as soon as Michael entered. No one wanted to make a mistake. He walked past all of them with a straight face and entered the executive elevator.

When the employees were sure that he had gone. They all exclaimed with joy. This man was just too handsome.

In the CEO'S office. Michael told his assistant to call for a board meeting. He implemented his own rules immediately. Then he specifically invited Mr. Vincent Clayton, who was the CEO of their entertainment industry, to his office.

"Mr. Clayton, how much do you pay your employees?" Michael asked.

"Fifty thousand dollars sir." Vincent said.

"Increase it by thirty thousand dollars." Michael said again.

Vincent was confused as to why Young Master Kingston wanted to increase their salary. He didn't even bother to give a raise to the Textile industry or the perfume industry. He thought it must be because he hosted a welcome party for him. So Young Master Kingston must be thankful of him!

Vincent felt very pleased with himself.

"I will do so immediately Young Master." he said.

"That model.. that night... get me her work schedule." Michael added

Vincent was struck. Why was he interested in Desiree. That's right, he wants to ban her! He suddenly felt weak. He didn't want this to happen. Desiree was a very big shot for his company. Who knows, if Young Master bans her. Their opponents might come and snatch her immediately.

Plop! He fell to the ground and burst into tears.

"Young Master please, have mercy on her. She's still a child. She is just twenty." Vincent pleaded.

"Vincent, I'm done talking with you. You can leave now and don't forget to carry out your assignments." After saying this he started making a phone call. Totally forgetting that there was someone else in the room.

Vincent quickly got up and left the room. He brought his cell phone out of his pocket and quickly made a call.

" Yes, get me Desiree's work schedule immediately." It was Desiree's fault for speaking so harshly to the Young Master. He has done his own part. Of course, in front of Michael, he was merely an employee. He can't risk his neck for someone else and loose his job.

In the Vice-president's office in Le grande's Enterprise. Daphne's secretary walked into the room with a report.

"Good morning ma. Mr Ben's shares has been bought by a man named T-Rex. He would be joining in the next Board meeting which is this afternoon."

"Really? Why did Mr Ben suddenly sell his shares?"

"He said he needed the money for his wife's medication. She has cancer." the secretary reported.

"OK. Prepare for the the meeting. You can go now." Daphne said and went back to work.

She had slept till noon. She was still in bed even after waking up. Too tired to open her eyes. She suddenly wondered why people say that they woke up feeling refreshed. She, Desiree wakes up feeling angry and rude!

Just when she was about to sleep for a round two. Her moms knock racked the door.

"Desiree Le grande, get up and come and have lunch. I have already disposed the break fast I prepared earlier."

Immediately Desi heard the word 'food' she jerked up from the bed and opened the door.

"awww mummy dearest, you cooked for me? Thank you!" she said coyly and rushed down the stairs.

Once she got to the dining, she started eating like a wolf who was quarantined for ages without food.

Her mother stood by the staircase, watching her with hands akimbo.

" Desiree Le grande, are you sure you are a model? What do you even teach those who look up to you? I'm sure they would be disappointed seeing their goddess eating ferociously." Her mom said.

"Mommy, outside I'm their goddess. But at home I'm your little Troll. So allow me to be the glutton that I am." She declared shamelessly.

After feasting on her meal. She thanked her mom and suddenly remembered.

"oh... Mom I would be going to the shelter today. I want to adopt a dog."

"Suit yourself young lady."
