Chapter 12: Getting Myself a Longinus

[One Week later]

After the day I confessed to Cleria, she has been sleeping with me and Ray every night and only goes back to her mansion to do her work and spend some of her time with her peerage and attend her responsibility as the supervisor of Kuoh.

As I and Ray have been keeping an eye on Issei, planning to take Issei's Sacred Gear without him knowing about it, the opportunity has presented itself to us.

Yesterday Issei has meet a Picture-story telling an old man who is Issei's future Oppai's Uncle, so we have decided to act tomorrow when Issei will be alone as he walks to his home after hearing oppai story of that old man and then I will act and take the [Boosted Gear] from him.

Irina is becoming very aware of Issei's perverted nature all due to my early warnings and now she is keeping her distance from him.

Our relationship is also coming along well to a point that Irina and I have been taking our afternoon nap while hugging each other and her parents always have smiles on their faces when they see us like that.

They also tease us to enjoy Irina's embarrassed expressions every time they do this, and due to this Irina has been slowly realising that she has some sort of special feeling towards me but couldn't understand what they are as she is still young.

The next day, after escorting Irina to her home, I went to my house and used shadow teleportation to teleport in Kuoh's park where Ray is keeping an eye on Issei.

I teleported in the forest part of the park where no one goes generally then I make my way to where Ray is.

Then I went near the fountain where the old man is telling an oppai picture story to a group of young kids.

As I was looking at the Issei who was also in that group, Ray came out of my shadow and with a bow said: "Master I checked the surrounding area for any supernatural being, the area is clear."

"Okay, now let's wait for Issei to go home then we will be making our move," I said.

Then for the next hours, we keep our eyes on Issei and when he exited the park to go home we followed him through shadows, and just as he enters a deserted street I uses my magic on him and put him in illusion and started using soul-magic to undo the stitches that are used to attached [Boosted Gear] to his Soul and it only took me 30 seconds to retrieve the [Boosted Gear], all due to my high mastery in the said magic then I break the illusion and he only feels like he blanks out for a second and then he continued his walk to his home.

After getting [Boosted Gear]. I and Ray teleported to my lab and I immediately started examining the Red Orb, which the [Boosted Gear] looks like when it is out of its host's body and Ray went to make refreshments for me.

In just 10 minutes I find out its basic working, [Boosted Gear] on the surface is only a container that is made with a clear goal in mind to store god-level souls in it.

Then it uses the said soul and grants its user some of the abilities of the soul itself.

As I was writing down my discoveries in my research general, Ray came with two cups of ice cream and two glasses of Chocolate milkshake as refreshments.

After eating the refreshments Ray has brought I again started my research on how the [Boosted Gear] works.

After four hours of long research, I finally found out how [Boosted Gear] works, just like my initial findings. The [Boosted Gear] itself is only a container for Ddraig's soul.

It works as a device to allow its host to use Ddraig's abilities like [Boost], [Transfer], and more. During my research, I have also found out that Ddraig's abilities are actually like skills that are fused with their soul.

Also due to the amount of time Ddraig's soul has been trapped in the [Boosted Gear], the container or the [Boosted Gear] itself has gained a portion of Ddraig's skills to some degree that means if I were to remove Ddraig's soul from it, it will still retain some simple abilities of Ddraig like [Boost] and [Transfer] but other more complicated abilities like [Penetrate] and [Balance Breaker] would be impossible to use.

During my research, I found out that [Balance Breaker] of Sacred gears are the 'Bugs' in the Sacred Gear system that appear when the Cache files accumulate in the Sacred Gear itself.

These Cach Files are the emotions of its previous users that have accumulated in it over time, and when these Cach files reach a certain amount, they push the Sacred Gears on the verge of breaking apart and forces them to mutated to attain temporary stages like [Balance Breaker] or permanent changes like [Subspecies].

And the lack of these Cach files is also the reason why there are so few cases of [Balance Breaker] in history.

As most of the Sacred gears don't have enough Cach files in them that can push these Sacred Gear on the verge of breaking apart, at the minimum a Sacred Gear appears once in 200 years.

So all in all they don't have enough accumulated emotions in them that can force them to mutate or change into a Subspecies.

The main reason why big G created the Heaven system was to delete these Cach files before Sacred Gear gets transferred to their new hosts, but 1, 500 years ago when he died Heaven system started to function at its bare minimum.

After noting down all of my findings in general I am confident to create my own genuine Sacred Gear's and I only need a soul of powerful beings or a contract with a being like that if I want to create something like [Boosted Gear] or Divine Dividing.

After this point, I stopped my research for that day as I put the [Boosted Gear] in my Inventory and went to my home where Ray and Cleria were waiting for me with dinner ready to be eaten by the three.

We three enjoyed your dinner as we talked about what we did that day. Cleria tells us how there is an exorcist from the church in the town that has been trying to meet her for the past week and she is starting to get pissed off by his actions.

She also told me that today she has got a piece of the rumors that are going among the heads of some Devil houses from the original 72-pillars, it talks about the existence of the 16th Evil piece called 'King piece' and she wants to investigate and find out if it exists.

Knowing that she wants to investigate the 'King piece', I asked Cleria to come to my Lab tomorrow with me as I have something to show and tell her.
