chapter seven

Mom dropped me at the gates of an interlocking brick made building.it has three blocks and about two storey each.There's a huge board in front showing about seven students both boys and girls in deep discussion about something with books in their hands.I don't know what they are discussing. I just hope there will be no such thing here for real.l suck in discussions in general. The only one's I have attended is back at Annie's clinic. And let's just say that it didn't go well.mom,gave me a I'm_ proud_of_you_&" hug.Today is her first day at new place.I wished her too and got off the car. Now, I'm my own....

The grounds are mostly stone paved.I'm a little early for school. That's because I don't want my school schedule and map stuck under my nose entire time. so,I make my way half hazardly into the school building. I just pray no one have noticed my clumsiness. ( I tripled over my own shoes twice along the four meters from the parking).

The lady in the reception smiles warmly at me.Her eyes show the who_ are_you_in_this_not_ at_all_popular_school_so_eager_in_the_morning glare which I ignore conveniently.( due to my too weird conversational skills we decided on baby steps to civilization and avoided big summer viles public school ,famous for academics & sports)

" hi,how can I help you" she asks in her trying_ to_ be soft voice with a well practiced professional facade."hi,I'm josaphine Gardner.I am admitted in the science stream this year.....ah....could..you help me"(man ,I did it.I told my longest well rehearsed conversation perfectly well.way to go....girl) I congratulated myself with a self presevatory smile.

" oh,its a pleasure to meet you Josephine. we have been notified about your admission. you will be in the last building. These are your forms to be filled and your schedule and the school map.you will be having a break after two periods.Then you will be able to collect your books back here" I thanked her ,filled the forms and began to find my new classroom.
