Donna's words made Han Shuo determined to leave for Elysium. However, there were some people on the Profound Continent that he simply couldn't leave behind - his women.
Although Emily, Phoebe, and others were considered to have outstanding strength on the Profound Continent, their strength was unfortunately far below what was needed to leave with him.
From the accounts of Donna and the others, Han Shuo learned that Elysium was a material plane filled with godly experts who possessed an uncountable number of material planes in this universe. Those with Late-stage Lowgod powers, such as the Brook Brothers and Li Wei, were plentiful and nothing out of the ordinary on Elysium. Therefore, if Emily, Phoebe and the others were to venture there with him, nothing could guarantee their safety.
Han Shuo's ken had increased along with his greatly improved strength. At this point, Han Shuo had no opponent on the Profound Continent who could threaten his life. Aside from the fact that Han Shuo had no desire to silently guard the Profound Continent for the rest of his life like the Primordius Dragon did, Han Shuo would naturally ascend to a higher material plane.
As Han Shuo pondered how to tell his women about this, he unknowingly found himself at the gates of Sunshine Valley.
Jasper, Hemanna, Sylph and Sanguis had been waiting for Han Shuo in Sunshine Valley and were very excited about his arrival. They demanded that Han Shuo take them sightseeing.
Han Shuo's heart ached when he saw Jasper and the others so excited. These people had crossed the material planes to come to the Profound Continent with him, but he had left them in this valley all this time. And now he would have to heartlessly leave them to venture alone to a higher material plane. It seemed that being in a relationship had its inconveniences.
I may not take her with me until I have gained a foothold on Elysium. For now, I have no choice but to harden my heart, Han Shuo thought to himself as he watched the beautiful smiles of his ladies.
Han Shuo spent a few days in Valley of Sunshine , accompanying Jasper, Hemanna and Sylph. He did not forget to carefully guide Sanguis in his cultivation of the Bloodgod Mantra.
For several days, Han Shuo took Jasper and the others around the famous mountains and great rivers of Sunshine Valley. He also bought them large quantities of jewellery in Valen City.
Those days were the happiest days for Jasper, Hemanna and Sylph. Han Shuo was gentle and tender and fulfilled all their long-cherished wishes. Each day was better than the last.
But good days are always so short and sweet. On that fateful day, after allowing Jasper and the others to understand the Profound Continent as much as they did, Han Shuo finally revealed his intentions to the Abyssians.
Jasper, Hemanna and Sylph were terrified when they heard of Han Shuo's wish to leave the continent. They even thought that they had somehow made Han Shuo unhappy. But after a round of explanations, they finally understood the reason behind Han Shuo's decision.
After a moment of silence, while looking at Han Shuo with sad, bitter eyes, Jasper asked, "Then, after you leave, will you come back?"
"Of course! As soon as I have a stable foothold there, I will come back to bring you all over!" Han Shuo promised resolutely. He continued to comfort her softly, "Don't worry, I won't let you down. If it weren't for the fact that this world is simply too dangerous, I wouldn't ask you to stay away from me a second longer than necessary!"
The only interplanar transportation matrix on the Profound Continent was in Han Shuo's possession. He could leave and return with ease if he wanted to.
With Han Shuo's assurance, Jasper reluctantly agreed, "Fine. I'll wait for you!" Hemanna and Sylph nodded despondently with Jasper.
Han Shuo spent some more time comforting Jasper before he went to see Trunks and left Valley of Sunshine .
As soon as he arrived in Ossen City, Han Shuo looked for Emily, Phoebe and Fanny. The content of their conversation was similar to what he had said to the Abyssian ladies.
The reactions of the three were just like those of Jasper and the others when they heard that Han Shuo was planning to leave the Profound Continent once again. Han Shuo could only repeat the same persuasion, telling them that once he was established on Elysium, he would return to the Profound Continent and take them with him.
After trying his best to persuade the sad, weeping ladies, even though he was reluctant in his heart, Han Shuo managed to get past this barrier.
In the Lancelot Empire, Emily, Phoebe and Fanny were basically Han Shuo's spokespersons. His three ladies could convey the information to Lawrence without having to meet him personally.
Han Shuo spent the next few days in Ossen City. He did not forget to look for Lisa and talk to her about it. Just like with his other ladies, it took a little effort for Han Shuo to convince her.
During those days, Han Shuo had explained his own understanding of becoming a god carefully and in detail. He hoped that this would help them become stronger even faster.
On the day that Han Shuo was ready to leave Ossen City for Brettel City, Olde, whom he had met in the third layer of the underground world just a few days before, unexpectedly came to Han Shuo.
"How did you find me here?" Han Shuo looked at Olde in astonishment. After meeting him again a few days later, Olde seemed to have recovered most of his strength and seemed to have great vitality. The miserable and battered appearance he had in the underground world was nowhere to be seen.
"I just happened to be passing by. Your life signature is very strong and you have not deliberately hidden it. Ordinary people might not have been able to detect your presence, but I knew it was you as soon as I got close!" Olde explained in a warm voice as he looked at Han Shuo with a subtle smile.
Olde was a cultivator of the Edict of Life. Han Shuo knew that Olde's words were true. Within a certain range, Olde could indeed sense the presence of other powerful life signatures.
This was especially true on this material plane. The only godly being that could be found, apart from Donna and her Elysians, was Han Shuo. Such an unusually strong life signature in the midst of the crowd of weak life signatures was simply too conspicuous for Olde. So it wasn't surprising that Olde was able to find him with his senses.
"I see. How can I help you?" Han Shuo knitted his brows and asked. He wasn't quite sure what Olde's intentions were.
"Congratulations, this material plane is yours!"
Han Shuo thought for a moment, then asked, "Did the higher level ones come to some sort of agreement?"
"Clever!" Olde praised Han Shuo before explaining, "With this underground place destroyed, this material plane has basically lost its appeal. Still, our forces have played a less than honourable role by helping you. Otherwise, those at the Church of Light and the Shrine of Ice wouldn't have been so willing to surrender."
"Why?" Han Shuo asked.
"Our order has an agreement with the Lancelot Empire that we are free to practice and spread our teachings in their territories. Given the current trend, it's only a matter of time before the Lancelot Empire becomes the most powerful nation on this material plane. We have our own interests to protect.
"I believe you will receive this information officially very soon. Consider this warning as a courtesy from me. The agreement also states that you will stop slaughtering the followers of the Shrine of Ice and the Church of Light, while they will stop recruiting new followers. In time, after the natural deaths of their remaining followers, these two religions will completely disappear from the face of the Profound Continent. As for the new lives that will be born, our Druid Order and those on your side will simply try to win them over through our respective efforts."
Han Shuo thought for a while after listening to Olde's words. He understood that the Church of Light and the Shrine of Ice were merely trying to preserve the lives of their remaining followers, who would eventually die of old age. In time, their influence would disappear completely from the face of the Profound Continent. It seemed that the two religious organisations had basically given up on this material plane.
The reason the Druidic Order had acted as mediator was probably because they had something to gain from it, even if it was small and insignificant.
""Well, that's fine with me. Is there anything else I need to pay special attention to?" Han Shuo asked after a moment of silence.
"Just one last thing, I hope the Lancelot Empire will avoid bloodshed as much as possible in its world conquest! The Church of Light and the Shrine of Ice will no longer interfere in the affairs of this continent. The Lancelot Empire, with the support of our Druidic Order and your forces, will inevitably unite the entire Profound Continent under its rule. But we do not want to see this world filled with rivers of blood and hope to avoid casualties as much as possible," Olde shook his head and sighed before he said to Han Shuo.
Han Shuo nodded silently and agreed. He then looked at Olde in a puzzled manner and asked, "Is that all you have to say to me after taking the trouble to see me in person?"
"I have heard from Kelly that you cultivate some sort of miraculous energy that he praises incessantly. May I have the honour of seeing it in person?" Olde asked as he looked deeply into Han Shuo's eyes.
Han Shuo was startled. He thought, are you telling me that Olde has discovered something? He thought about it for a while, but did not feel that he had revealed any smoking gun. His expression remained unchanged as a series of thoughts quickly flashed through his mind. Suddenly, he shook his head and said, "Earlier, I had indeed developed a kind of martial technique by accident. However, the moment I became a god, I completely forgot about it. The Twelve Fundamental Energies are the most promising and dominant ways. If I distract myself with other martial arts, I will end up getting nowhere. I'm very sorry!"
Olde stared blankly after hearing Han Shuo's explanation. He looked Han Shuo up and down and even secretly probed Han Shuo with his soul.
Olde was foolish enough to think that Han Shuo would have no way of detecting his secret probing due to his much more advanced realm, but Han Shuo not only possessed a most miraculous consciousness, he also had the Cauldron Spirit in his body. Therefore, Han Shuo was able to clearly see and evade Olde's soul probing.
After the breakthrough of his main body to the Omen Realm, he could transfer and allocate the energies of his avatars as he wished. In addition to the Cauldron Spirit's assistance, even when Olde spent half a day probing Han Shuo's life signature with his soul, he couldn't find anything unusual about Han Shuo.
"I see. Forget it then!" Olde gave up after finding nothing.
""Oh, by the way, in the depths of the Boundless Sea of this continent, someone once saw a pile of wondrous remains under an island. Perhaps you might be interested in that?" Han Shuo said suddenly after thinking for a while. Since there was a tacit agreement between the Druidic Order and the Church of Calamity, Han Shuo was not afraid that Olde would discover the Cemetery of Death he was hiding there. Besides, Olde might return the favour to Han Shuo sometime in the future.
"Is there anything particularly unique about it?" Olde asked casually.
"The plants growing around the pile of bones are quite strange and unique. It was said that someone sank there after being seriously injured. But not only did the person not die, his wounded organs were magically healed. Don't you find that a bit strange?" Han Shuo said with a smile.
"Where is this island?" Olde's eyes widened as he asked anxiously.
Han Shuo smilingly informed him of its location. As Olde was about to leave in a hurry, Han Shuo hurriedly shouted, "If you find what you are looking for, remember that this will be a favour you owe me! You will have to repay it sometime in the future!"
"If what you say is true, I will make sure to return this favour to you in the future!" Olde promised Han Shuo without even turning his head
