It must be said that Ice Celestial Corey still had some conscience when it came to treating the citizens of the Kasi Empire. Otherwise, he would not have limited his self-destruct radius to only ten metres. It was also the reason why Han Shuo, with Kelly's reminder, was able to act in the nick of time and not be affected by Ice Celestial Corey's explosion at the door of death.
Ice Celestial Corey, as one of the highest leaders of the Ice Shrine, hunted by Han Shuo and Kelly together, was forced to the end of his rope, with no choice but to end his own life. Even his last, desperate effort in the face of death had failed to truly harm either Han Shuo or Kelly.
After the brilliant rays had faded away, the region of space where a large amount of energy had caused a temporary fringe phenomenon returned to normal in an instant. Ice Celestial Corey, however, had vanished from their sight forever.
Han Shuo let out a sigh of relief. It was as if a heavy stone hanging over Han Shuo's heart had suddenly been thrown into the bottomless abyss. He felt an indescribable sense of lightness and satisfaction.
"He died, just like that, he died. Sigh..." Kelly sighed softly with grief. His colossal ape body began to shrink.
Demigod existences, taking in the entire Profound Continent, were beings at the top of the pyramid. Such beings were few and far between. Although Corey was an enemy, Kelly still felt that his death was a pity.
Demigod, so what? They still couldn't escape death!
"Kelly, I think we should use a burst of energy to completely destroy the foundation of the Ice Shrine!" Han Shuo suggested with a sinister smile as he looked at Snow Celestial Tiana, who arrived in a streak of white light.
In an instant, Kelly had returned to his human form. Standing shoulder to shoulder with Han Shuo, Kelly looked deep into Snow Celestial Tiana as she hovered in the air far away. He shook his head and sighed before staring at Tiana and said, "In those days, your Ice Shrine completely eradicated our Druidic Order from the Kasi Empire, leaving not a single chapel for us to preach our teachings. Even I was forced to leave after being wounded by Corey and you. Who would have thought that what goes around comes around!
"The climate in the Kasi Empire is cold and icy. It is a territory given to us by the Ice Goddess. The presence of heretics must not be tolerated in the territory of the Ice Goddess!" Tiana looked back at Kelly from a distance, cold and indifferent. She didn't seem particularly disturbed or emotional about Corey's death.
"There's no point talking to her. Great Sage Kelly, let's attack!" Han Shuo wasn't interested in the religious arguments between the two. All that was on his mind was to eliminate this enemy called Tiana.
"That would be useless. She is ready to leave," Kelly shook his head and replied stoically, without a hint of joy or sorrow.
Han Shuo was startled and immediately turned his gaze to Snow Celestial Tiana some distance away. He saw that Tiana's body was gradually disappearing, seemingly turning into snowflakes that drifted with the wind. Han Shuo watched as he felt her presence merge and become one with the water element found between heaven and earth. He could undoubtedly see Tiana, but could not sense her presence.
Gradually, like snowflakes melting into water, Tiana vanished.
As Han Shuo watched Tiana disappearing bit by bit, he made no attempt to stop her. He knew that since Tiana was so far away, given her soul's affinity for the water element, he certainly could not stop her if she wanted to leave.
It was only when Tiana had completely disappeared from Han Shuo's sight that the squadron of knights following behind her arrived. Before these knights could open their mouths, Kelly of the Druidic Order looked at Han Shuo and said, "Let's go and talk somewhere else. In the Profound Continent, people of our kind have a tacit agreement not to get involved in worldly disputes. Let's not make it difficult for them."
Han Shuo nodded and followed Kelly, easily dodging the large regiment of knights that had hauled themselves over with great difficulty. After running left and right for a while, they came to a valley where the plants grew lushly.
This small valley wasn't in Ciro City, but in a medium-sized forest on the outskirts of the city. Upon arrival, Han Shuo found the druid Lilian, who had left the scene before the great battle, waiting for him.
To Han Shuo's surprise, there was another familiar figure standing beside her in the valley - the great druid Caspian!
"Sage" "Teacher"
When the duo saw Kelly and Han Shuo, they both greeted Kelly, although the way they addressed Kelly was slightly different.
"Caspian! Long time no see!" Han Shuo took the initiative to greet Caspian.
Han Shuo understood in his heart that the reason this old fellow had brought Han Shuo here was undoubtedly to discuss the Hand of the Goddess of the Druidic Order. Up until now, Han Shuo had been certain that the Druidic Order was an honourable and upright religion. He could not be less concerned that these people might be plotting against him or secretly leading him into a trap.
Of course, it was rare to find an average person who could trap a being in the realm of Han Shuo's strength.
"Bryan! It's been a while! How unexpected, how truly unexpected, that you have attained such great strength!" Caspian lamented from the bottom of his heart as he looked at Han Shuo.
A few years ago, when Han Shuo and Caspian first met in Valen City, Han Shuo had shown a promising talent, but he was far, far from his current strength. In just a few short years, Han Shuo possessed demigod strength, the same strength as his teacher. Caspian could not help but gasp in admiration at such progress!
"Hahaha, I just happen to be very lucky!" Han Shuo said with a laugh.
""Excellent, now we can finally talk with ease!" Kelly, the sage of the Druidic Order, said smiling as he fixed his pair of eyes, through which one could see that he had experienced the hardships of life, on Han Shuo's body. He sighed softly and said helplessly, "Bryan, it was all because of your help this time. Otherwise, not only would Ice Celestial Corey not have been hunted to death, but I'm afraid I would have suffered some serious injuries again under the duo's joint attack."
"You're welcome, Sage. They are my enemies as well. For us to join hands is no favour. You don't owe me anything!" Han Shuo knew what Kelly wanted to discuss, but still remained polite in his words.
Indeed, as expected, Kelly continued, "You helped us and obtained the Hand of the Goddess with your own abilities. As a matter of principle, we should have no further interest in retrieving the item. However, the Hand of the Goddess is a magical artefact of our druidic order, and as followers of the Goddess of Nature, it is our duty to reclaim the Hand of the Goddess. I have no idea what to do."
Han Shuo had long expected them to find out that the Hand of Goddess was in his possession. Since things had reached this stage, Han Shuo was no longer playing dumb. However, he could never just hand over the Hand of Goddess. Looking deeply into Kelly's eyes, Han Shuo replied, "The artefact is indeed with me. I understand how much it means to you. But it is even more important to me. I apologise. No matter what, I cannot give it to you."
When Great Druid Caspian heard Han Shuo's words, he opened his mouth to say something, but ended up shaking his head and sighing softly, not uttering his words of persuasion.
In their relationship, Han Shuo did not owe Caspian any favours. On the contrary, Caspian had previously inconvenienced Han Shuo time and time again. Although the two of them had a friendly relationship, Caspian did not think that Han Shuo would change his mind on such an important matter for him. So he hesitated in his speech.
Mister Bryan, I know that you don't care much about gold coins, given your identity and status. Therefore, the offer I made earlier at the auction house must have been worthless," Lilian looked at Han Shuo with her sparkling eyes and continued, "However, could you please tell us how you came to know about the wonderful functions of Hand of the Goddess and for what purpose you intend to use it? As far as I know, even the followers of our druidic order, few have ever seen the Hand of the Goddess, let alone know of its wonderful uses."
Nodding his head, Sage Kelly of the Druidic Order also stared at Han Shuo. Not hiding the curiosity in his heart, he said, "That's right. Even as the most devout follower of the Druidic Order, I only knew a small portion of the uses Hand of the Goddess , and I wasn't able to make it fly spontaneously. I still cannot understand how you can do that!"
After Kelly uttered those words, Han Shuo immediately understood that back in Braque's mansion, Kelly must have been hiding in places that Han Shuo had not discovered, and had seen a certain scene. It was no wonder that he was so certain that the Hand of the Goddess was in Han Shuo's possession.
Han Shuo knitted his brows and hesitated for a while. He was considering whether or not to reveal the matter of the Hand of Goddess and the Wood Elite Zombie. There seemed to be no other way to explain it clearly.
"I know this is a secret of yours. But ever since I saw you use the Hand of the Goddess so miraculously, I have wondered if you are a messenger sent by our Goddess to the human world. Maybe, just maybe, you really were someone from our Druidic Order," Kelly said as he looked at Han Shuo with great expectations.
Han Shuo involuntarily burst out laughing. He found the reasoning of these religious members rather baffling. He shook his head and said, "I am definitely not a follower of your druidic order. But I do have some understanding of your so-called Hand of the Goddess.
As the three druids of the Druidic Order looked at him with expectant eyes, Han Shuo nodded and began to explain his distinct understanding of the Hand of the Goddess in detail.
"Viride Leaf? What is that? This is unimaginable. How is this possible?" Lilian could not believe Han Shuo, shaking her head the whole time, muttering in amazement.
The Great Druid Caspian also wore a face of disbelief. He looked at Han Shuo quizzically, but did not utter a word to question the validity of his words.
Great Sage Kelly, the head of the druid order, looked at Han Shuo with a grave expression. In a half-doubting, deep voice, he asked, "Could you let us see the holder of the Hand of the Goddess?
