"Honourable sir, our hotel has always had a good reputation in Valen City and has always cooperated with the Ascher. We would have reported to you immediately had we spotted anyone suspicious." The chubby Elaine was still cheerful and promised with a smile that there was nothing wrong with the hotel.

"Mm, I have a feeling there would be nothing wrong with your hotel anyway!" The officer's expression was calm as he spoke seriously.

A stern whistle sounded at that moment as a faint red streak cut through the dark sky and headed straight for the officer.

The officer who'd been making a show of talking to Elaine had been on his guard for a long time. Otherwise he wouldn't have sent his men for help. He drew the sword at his side with an audible clank as soon as the whistle had sounded. A dark green combat aura suddenly flared over it as it immediately flew towards the descending red light.

Ding! The sounds of clashing weapons rang out. The Demonslayer's Edge viciously bit into the officer's blade, extinguishing his combat aura and leaving a nick in the officer's blade.

At the same time, a figure flashed as a hard fist struck the officer. The officer started in shock and raised his left hand to block his chest, trying to stop Han Shuo's punch.

It had appeared to be an ordinary punch, but it suddenly flared with purple spellfire as it reached the officer's chest. A bitingly cold presence suddenly rushed forward, rushing into his body as Han Shuo's fist landed on his chest.

Once outside, they joined the fight without another word from Han Shuo, killing all the Gryphon Legion soldiers.

"Hurry, come this way!" Han Shuo suddenly shouted loudly, his voice reaching Emily's location like a sharp weapon.

Lawrence's group also bumped into Phoebe and Candice at this time, causing everyone who had participated in the Bob Ascher operation to gather in one place.

"Form up! Let's get out of here before the whole Gryphon Legion arrives!" Standing on the roof, Han Shuo had become the leader of this mission as he shouted sternly.

"Steal the horses!" Emily suddenly floated in the air on her way over as she quietly chanted a dark magic spell.

The dozen fiercely charging knights suddenly spun into a dark vortex. The lightning speed of the battle steeds suddenly became incredibly slow, and their hooves made no sound on the ground.

The surrounding trees suddenly came to life as their branches danced like snakes, entangling the slowing horses and forcing them to stop where they stood.

Caspian's old staff rested on a nearby tree. He concentrated and unleashed the magic of the Druidic Order, restraining all twelve horses and even the knights' legs.

"Hurry!" Caspian also suddenly yelled.

"Grandfather! Are you all right?" Angelica burst into tears of joy as she saw her grandfather appear from the vantage point of being protected by the Battlefire mercenaries.

"Take the horses, come on!" Han Shuo had already leapt into the air and turned his head to shout back.

Lawrence waved his hand and didn't bother to speak to Phoebe. Those beside him, including Belinda and Johnny from the Calamity Church and even Phoebe and Candice, rushed out and made for the dozen tethered horses and knights.

Han Shuo had Caspian, Swordmaster Phoebe, Archmage level Emily, Thundermage Swordsman Johnny, as well as Firemage Swordswoman Candice and finally Lawrence at his side. With such a group of experts coming together to take care of the common knights tied to the backs of their horses, it was easily a slaughter.

Each displayed their skills in the span of a few breaths, killing the twelve common knights in a matter of seconds. They threw the bodies down and claimed the horses.

"Hurry and get out of here. We escaped this way because there's more than a hundred similar cavalry behind us." Emily yanked on the reins and shouted.

Just as her words rang out, the screams of the gryphons in the air became more and more numerous. Han Shuo lifted his head and suddenly spotted several black dots converging on their position. His sensitive ears could hear random hoofbeats. It seemed they were about to be surrounded.

"Come with me, we'll make it out soon!" Han Shuo yanked on the reins and turned the horse around, charging in the direction Emily and the others had just come from.

"You're crazy! There are over a hundred knights back there!" Emily was immediately shocked by Han Shuo's about face and called out in surprise.

He turned around and looked at Emily with a wry smile. "I think this is the only way we can get to the city walls as quickly as possible! If we don't leave immediately, there will be countless troubles behind us, so we have to take that risk!"

Han Shuo didn't hesitate after speaking and charged on the back of his steed, shooting towards the place where the hoofbeats converged. Emily was stunned for only a second before she immediately followed Han Shuo's battle steed.

Phoebe and Candice had worked with Han Shuo before and trusted his judgement. Gilbert, of course, had no objections and charged after Emily. Caspian and Angelica, on the same horse, quickly followed after a moment's hesitation.

The last group was more hesitant, but they also followed Han Shuo's lead one by one after a short while.

None of them knew whether this path would lead to life or death. They could only hope that Han Shuo's judgement was correct.
