Even if the tycoon intended to use the building exclusively, there was still a chance he might continue leasing a small space to her for her design studio. Before the big boss's visit, Ava even consulted with Zoe on how to phrase their request persuasively, to convince him to maintain their current rental agreement.
"Ava, that approach won't work; it's too subservient. Big bosses won't respect that. If it were me, I wouldn't even want to talk to you. You need to show that kind of dignified independence, the kind that rich and educated bosses, or those well-educated from a young age, respect. If you negotiate like that, they might think, 'Ah, this young lady is not ordinary. Let's see what she has to say.' Then maybe you can play your charms later on to seal the deal!"
