After leaving, Ava's expression was ice-cold, her heart boiling with rage. She felt as if her efforts over the past days were a complete farce, all orchestrated by Nathan just to humiliate her.
She recalled her first meeting with Kevin Lewis, how he had shown inexplicable hostility towards her, and now she knew it was all Nathan's doing.
Great, just great! But now that the design draft was submitted and the contract signed, she was bound to oversee the project at Ashcroft Manor until its completion. Breaking the contract would mean facing a massive penalty, forcing her to comply.
Nathan had really planned several steps ahead, almost impossible to guard against, probably now waiting to see her make a fool of herself.
Ava returned home, her mind in turmoil.
