Somewhere else in the world, Johnny and Ava were taking their vacation in peace.

Because he didn't want to spend his days away from salome, Johnny was reluctant to do so but because of all the nagging she had been doing over the past few days, he gave in and set the book aside.

Unfortunately his romantic life was as dead as his old sailboat.

Luckily Ava didn't seem to care as much and, in fact, was enjoying his company just fine.

Ava's plan for this vacation was to rekindle their love, but he intended to make the most of this opportunity. He would play his game well so she'd relax and stop nagging and get off his back for a while.

She had meticulously planned the vacation and tried to keep things excited for the first two days. She could, however, sense his lack of interest as time went on and things between them became more and more routine.

It didn't take her long to catch on that Johnny was not in the mood to spend a week at the beach.
