Baku – VI
"Aki!?" Haru was surprised to find himself in Aki's embrace as she pulled him away from danger.
He was at his lowest, emotions he did not want to show were out in the open.
Yet, despite all that, Aki looked at him with the same silly smile.
"Grrrrrr."
He couldn't understand, but her feelings flowing into him were enough to make him understand.
She was worried about him, and nothing else, but him mattered to her.
"Aki…" Haru wanted to assure her, but he couldn't.
His guilt was quite heavy.
As they accused him, he couldn't refute them.
Also, the threat wasn't gone yet.
"You again."
"!!" Hearing those words, Haru fully alerted and moved Aki behind him.
The Black Mirror wasn't gone, nor were those beings that it had given birth to.
The crowd of people whom he had killed didn't leave; instead, they looked at him and her with pure hatred, especially Miami and Akio.
