Awake

Bliss!

"Wake up Dear." Darain heard a strange voice coming from his left ear.

Darian opened his eyes to a beautiful green scenery, with a sunset that would rival the heavens themselves, Mountains stood in the distance, as if they were almost created to be perfect.

A small wooden cabin stood about 20 meters out, under right Infront of the sunset, almost as if calling his name, beckoning him to come closer.

Darian stood up and began to walk to the cabin, but for some reason it felt familiar.

Finally close enough, he saw the door was open already, as if inviting him in, so he began to enter when a smell began to enter his nose, a sweet almost nectar like aroma.

When he followed the smell, it led him into the kitchen of the wooden cabin but was surprised to see someone standing there!

"Glad you could make it Dear, I just finished baking something for you." said by a sweet voice, as if by an angel.

For some reason the voice was familiar too.

Darian's mind begun to swirl, trying to remember why this person was familiar, this cabin.

Finally, a word popped into his head, surprising even himself, "Mom!?"

Before he could question more, he felt a prodding feeling in his eyes, burning as if they were on fire.

Awake

Darian's eyes slowly opened up, awaking from a dream, 'Why would his mother be part of it?' He thought.

Before he could question it more, he scanned the room, what he saw horrified him.

3 people that dressed as doctor's stood around him, while he was on a surgery table as if he was in surgery, or a Morgue.

"Sir, he's awake." said the doctor to his right, she had blonde hair and blue eyes, although he couldn't see anymore of her since she was mostly covered in doctor apparel, he kept staring into her eyes, trying to signal her to help him.

But that was in vain.

"Hey kiddo, good to see you're awake." said the doctor at the base of his feet.

"W-What happened?" asked Darain, letting his curiosity out.

"Well, it seems you were knocked out with blunt force, we are just going to exam you, make sure no other injuries damaged you."

Darain thought it was weird to be here, since he remembers his stepfather doing this to him, "Okay, can get some water first?"

Darian tried to sit up from the surgery table, but for some reason, he couldn't, even when he was using all his strength.

"Doctor? why can't I move?" Darain felt scared by this and hoped the doctor would be able to help hopefully.

"Well, I'm afraid I am unable to do that for you, you need to be strapped down for this." said the doctor

Darain wanted to stay calm, but he thought he almost heard the doctor smile as he said this.

"P-P-Please let me up, I'm really thirsty."

The doctor looked at me with eyes of daggers, before grabbing my throat.

"I don't think you understand, you need to sit still while we take you apart!" said the doctor with a tone of a mad doctor.

"You see your parents sold you to us, although you were a tad more expensive that I wanted to pay for, I'll make do with what I got."

Absolute fear. I have only felt this felt this feeling a few times in my life, I thought I was mostly dead to this feeling now, but I don't want to die!

"P-P-Please let me go, I won't tell anyone, I'll make sure o--." Before he could finish his sentence, they began to cut him open.

Words couldn't subscribe the sensation; the pain was unbearable and impossible for any human to handle.

His body screamed into the endless night, his voice cracked in all the pain he has been experiencing, he felt the cold breath of death on his neck, as if it was almost over.

Before he knew it, he heard a voice, "Alright guys, cage him and we will continue tomorrow." The doctor said.

Absolute fear stricken me again, 'Why can't it be over', I thought I could bear through it, take my vengeance on my family, but I was mistaken.

'I don't want to die' thought Darain, his breath shortened, heart rate increased, 'Not yet... Not yet... NOT YET!' his mind screamed for survival, yearned to escape, but even with this, he still couldn't do anything.

'What can I do, I'm nothing but a coward.' it was hopeless.

The two doctors dragged him into a cage and chained him to the floor, they left Darian in the dark with nothing but himself and his trauma.

The night passed quickly for Darian; he trembled in fear of what was to come.

Before he knew it, they came back, "Hey Darian, lets finish up, shall we?"

'No... Not yet... Please' I thought to myself before I was back on the table.

Surrounded by unknown faces, unknown environment, I was going to die unknown, 'Who cares if I die?'

Numbed to the pain and soon the acceptance of death soon came.

Darain's eyes closed once more, embracing death and its darkness.
