Chapter 41: Leave the city

Adam was battling with himself or rather the voice in his head trying to convince him his friends had turned they're backs on him, a part of him already believed it to be the case but he couldn't accept it, things weren't making sense and they weren't acting normal at all, it felt like they where completely different people so he wouldn't believe it, he wouldn't accept that his friends would turn they're backs on him like this. Meanwhile in an office someone was having problems of his own

what's going on, why won't he listen the man complained, he's even more stubborn than Danny, at least I was able to reason with him and strike a deal but this Adam guy, he's too strong headed

shit, well if I can't convince him to leave then I'll force him, anybody I can't control doesn't deserve to be in my city he said. Meanwhile Adam had finally shut the voice in his head up, he could no longer hear it and the heavy feeling at the back of his mind went away, now he was sure more than ever that his friends where under some kind of mind control

wait that's it, whoever is doing this must have telepathy, but why go after me and the guys and why support Danny. Just then some soldiers came around and quickly surrounded him

yo kid, didn't you hear the boy back there, he said you should leave

no, he said if I felt unwelcomed but nah I think I'm alright he said faking a smile

these guys, are they under the telepaths influence?

no I don't think your welcomed anymore so leave

but I haven't done anything wrong

he's right Adam you should leave

Adam turned around and saw Danny standing there with his friends beside him

Danny, the others they're under some kind of mind control, or wait, maybe you must be under the same mind control

Danny was stunned for a bit but slowly walked towards Adam

yh so what, so you figured it out, I made a deal with some very powerful person and I have what I want now, so get lost he said as he pushed Adam back a bit

wow so I can't talk my way out of this either way Adam thought, but still

I'm not leaving without my friends he yelled. The soldiers attacked him but he jumped up high above them and made some space between them, the soldiers ran in again

I can't hold back, Lita said these soldiers where close to her level and some are higher, I can't hold back knowing they're that strong, the first soldier came forward with a fist but Adam was able to narrowly dodge it, these guys are fast, two others came from the side and held his arms while the other started punching Adam continuesly, blood spilled from his mouth

hahaha not so tough now are you Danny mocked

as soon as the blows stopped Adam sent a kick straight between the solder's legs, using all his strength he pulled the other two close and performing a split in the air kicked them right on the side of the head sending them flying, Adam wasn't holding back at all and giving it his all, more soldiers came over but before they could attack he super kicked the soldier whoa family jewels he kicked flying straight into the others, another came forward and tried tackling Adam to the ground but Adam took a stance and slammed the guard to the ground and then proceeded to speed punch him so hard the ground cracked leaving his bloody head in the ground.

Just then two more came over each holding knives, Adam swiftly dodged they're attacks but soon he started getting slashed

wait a minute, what am I doing Adam thought

he grabbed both knives with his bare hands and they went straight through his hands but now he had a firm grip on the guards. Jumping above them and twisting in the air, using all his strength he pulled them towards each other making them crash into each other but then another grabbed him and slammed him into the ground, German suplex style.

Danny had a huge grin on his face, now Adam would feel how helpless he felt or at least that's what he thought as he quickly noticed something, Adam was no longer blocking or dodging, rather he was facing the attacks head on and was trading blows for blows, even do he was outnumbered he would punch as hard as possible sending them flying but that wasn't enough to keep them down.

Danny the voice in his head called out

get in there and help

don't worry you have this under control

no you don't understand, he's not taking any damage

every time a punch breaks his jaw or I stab him it heals back meaning he can fight without a care in the world

shit I forgot he had a healing skill, ok give us an opening let me and the g...

while talking a guard flew right past his face, turning to Adam he saw four guards knocked out while three more where still struggling with him, they drew they're daggers and kept stabbing, his back, his chest, his stomach and even his head but Adam wouldn't stop moving, throwing punches in all direction with his speed he sent them all flying and he's wounds where healing quickly

damn in, these guys are tougher than I expected, Adam thought as he was panting a bit

when he turned a fist came flying, hitting him dead in the face sending him flying far off but he stopped himself by digging his nails into the ground, his skill was broken leaving half his head like a mush but slowly it was healing back, when he looked at the person it was Niki and right beside her was Lita, Sarah was healing the soldiers and they where getting back up again while Romeo stayed by Danny's side

damn it, I don't want to fight my friends and even if I did I can't beat Niki, Lita is over kill, even with my healing ability I can't win this, damn it

At top speed Adam ran towards Niki and Lita, while they both through a punch Adam ducked and speared them to the floor then dashed towards, Sarah and the soldiers, he held Sarah sorry for this he said as he flung her towards Danny and punched all the soldiers once again knocking them out and sending them flying but not before holding of them. Niki and Lita came rushing in and using two guards as meet shields blocked they're attacks and then grabbed both of them and using all his strength, flung them both upwards to the sky then turned too Danny and Romeo, at this point he hesitated because he knew what Romeo was capable off, if they where being controlled then Romeo was by far the worst of the bunch and sure enough Romeo acted, bringing out an AK-47 and opened fire at Adam. He ran straight through the bullets then held Romeo in a choke hold, as tight as possible, quickly switching to a fighting game character he delivered multiple elbows to Adam and he coughed up blood but he kept at it till Romeo passed out, then he ran to Sarah and knocked her our with a karate chop to the neck.

Just when he thought it was just him and Danny left, crashing back down was Niki and Lita
