Chapter 3: Chaos

what everyone was watching was the news, apparently the screen messages and abilities where sent to every single human in the world which also included those in prison, it wasn't noticable now but the world was going into a state of chaos as people where now forcing there way into supermarkets and out of prison

taking and doing what they want, gangs where fighting policeman and citizens where scavenging for what they could from supermarkets and every store possible, fights and explosions where happening every where.

if your still in a civilized area a suggest you go home lock your doors and stay indoors till the situation is under control the woman said before the news report ended

what's going on, what did she mean by that

is the world coming to an end

you don't think what the message said about a battle royal was actually true right? that would mean we would have to kill each other

rumors and whispers began in the class and they began to grow louder by the minute

ok settle down kids, I know we all heard the news so this goes without saying, school is closed till further noticed the teacher said as she opened the door

go home and don't come out till the government have this under control

Mrs White what are you doing, school is still in session one of the teachers said as he approached her

don't act dumb you saw the news and these powers we all have we can't just ignore what's going on, I say let these kids go to they're parents, they will be safe with them

before the other teacher could respond some of the students started rushing out

wait he yelled but the students didn't listen and kept running to the exit

what's going on, everything is happening way to fast Adam complained

he turned to see Romeo looking at him, take my hand I'll take you home

just trust me ok

oh umm ok, hey Danny are you coming

I need to protect Trixie

Danny! Adam yelled

leave him I'll come back for him just take my hand

he took Romeo's hand and suddenly they got sucked up into his phone screen, the feeling felt strange, like he was being pulled while standing at a place at the same time, suddenly they appeared in Adams house and behind them was the tv

what the, how did you do that

it's part of my ability just stay with your family and no matter what Adam you have to remember, do whatever it takes to survive, we have one month before the apocalypse happens so do whatever it takes to be ready by then, I'll come find you ok

he said and then jumped towards the tv and was sucked in

h...how did he do that, what's Romeo's power exactly, turning he saw the house was in a bit of a mess but he was sure of something his sibling where around because he could hear someone yelling on the phone

mom, dad pls come back it's not safe outside

running towards the phone he saw Kate his step sister on the phone

she must be talking to our parents Adam thought

where's Derek he asked

huh? why are you here, the world is ending we don't need filthy waste of space like you here, there won't be enough food if your here you eat like a pig

she continued to yell insults at him, he was use to it but he was a little surprised, the world was in chaos but she somehow found the time and strength to yell insults at him

but then he felt someone grab him by the collar and the next second he was flung out of the house

he slowly stood up

ouch what was that for but when he looked at who it was it was Derek

you heard her didn't you, now that the world is in chaos there's no excuse to keep you anymore, get out of our family and never come back he said as he shut the door on Adam

suddenly the realization of everything hit him hard, whoever this god of knowledge or whatever just gave everybody abilities to survive for the next ten years and now that the world was in chaos there was no law or order anymore so his foster family was showing they're true colours, not that they hid it before

The whole world was experiencing the same, all the prisons in the world where being destroyed as the inmates used there new found abilities to escape and fight they're way out. Mean while on the streets does who where homeless or poor, thugs and even street gangs where breaking shops and supermarkets taking whatever they could, when the law enforcement showed up a huge fight erupted, explosions everywhere fires and so on, the world was truly coming to an end just not in the way anyone thought it would, it was total anarchy

yet for some reason, wondering in the middle of the street, in the middle of chaos and lawlessness Adam felt free for the first time in forever, hes family had abandoned him but he didn't care, he was now all alone and homeless but he didn't mind, if this was the only way to escape his horrible life then he would take it, for too long he was wondering if that was all he would be and what his life was, just an endless cycle of torture and ridicule but now he was free, free to start his life afresh

The world was coming to an end, so what, as long as it was just him there was nothing to worry about, he would survive no matter what, regroup with his friends and survive this apocalypse together

now the only thing was

what do I do now Adam thought to himself, suddenly his phone vibrated in his pocket, when he turned it on romeo popped out

Romeo, your here, where's Danny, aren't you ment to be with your fa.....

Romeo suddenly hugged him as tears rolled down his face as he balled his eyes out they're dead Adam, my family, my parents, they're all dead.
