Choose your class

"What in the Seven hells!" Belialthorn cursed. Everything had turned black, deep darkness that covered him. Even his senses were lowered and it was as if he was not held by gravity. "What is this choosing circle doing!"

Could it be that the system was trying to harm him because he was trying to get another class? Normally beings are either born with a class like Belialthorn or can apply through the choosing circle and if the system deems you worthy you'll be given a class and skills to match.

Belialthorn started crafting a spell in his mind, a light spell that he poured mana into but nothing happened. He felt a rush of power as his spell activated but no light came into existence.

"Since I'm not getting a class can you let me go?" Belialthorn shouted. He didn't know who he was shouting at but he wanted out already. He hated how he was suspended in the air with nothing but darkness around him.

He heard a distance rumble, like two giant stones clashing and the darkness shuddered. Belialthorn felt a wave of raw power pass the air and the hair around his arm was raised.

"What are you." A deep voice bellowed in the darkness, so loud Belialthorn flinched as his ear echoed. "You are not human."

The darkness peeled away, revealing two giant eyes that glowed yellow, no face was attached to the eyes, only two big eyes. Yet Belialthorn could hear the voice of the creature. "Answer me!"

What is this? Belialthorn had never heard anything about a creature like this before, a monster with no face. Maybe just maybe....

"Are you the system and yes I am human?" Belialthorn asked, his voice tinged with suspicion. Nobody knew where the system came from, not even the Demons.

The eyes flashed bright and Belialthorn covered his eyes. "No mortal! What is the system? Do you mean...." The light in the eyes wavered and the voice trailed away. "So that is how it is."

"Yes, I am the system." The voice said and Belialthorn didn't believe it.

It didn't sound sure of itself and Belialthorn was sure it was about to reveal something when it trailed up.

"So what are you here for?" The voice boomed again.

Belialthorn just wanted to return to reality from wherever this was. "Nothing. I was here by mistake."

The eyes narrowed. "Hummm....yes....he's the one?...hummmm....okay....alright. Be grateful mortal! You are here for your class and you will be given!"

Belialthorn froze. What? Class? Wasn't it only one class for one being? Although you could advance in your class, it's still the same class. But having two classes?

"Are you sure?" Belialthorn asked slowly. Will those big giant lamps even be able to provide a class?

"Doubt me not Mortal!"

"Alright. I agree." Belialthorn said.

"Not like you have any choice. So, what class do you want?"

Belialthorn frowned. He didn't know he would be getting another class ever and had not put any thought into it. His Noble Demon class already gave him superior strength, speed, and stamina.

While his spells were good and powerful enough he needed more offensive because of his Bloodline Trait. He needed to be a Caster.

"Caster, that's what I wanted." Belialthorn said.

"A mage. Hum." Yellow light poured from the eyes and covered Belialthorn. He felt a wave of power.

Belialthorn viewed his status in surprise, he got a new class. He did! Happiness rolled inside him and he smiled. He wouldn't have to spend the coming years without having nothing to do.

"What of your skills? You have to choose two skills." The voice said.

Since Belialthorn's Noble Demon's class and skills were tied together he didn't bother to choose any skills for it but now he had to choose two skills.

Belialthorn requested a list of available skills and it popped in front of him in blue light.

Note: Noble Bloodline of Demons detected. Uploading complementary skills.

Infernal Charm: Compelling and manipulating others through a captivating and persuasive presence.

Dark Regeneration: Rapid healing or rejuvenation through demonic energies, even from severe wounds.

Cursed Bloodline: Infusing one's lineage with demonic power, creating infernal Wraiths using the ghost of his ancestors.

Hellfire Manipulation: Controlling and unleashing flames imbued with infernal power.

Realm intersect: This skill allows the caster to temporarily merge with the energies of a chosen realm, gaining enhanced abilities and altering the environment within a specific area.

Abyssal Resilience: Enhanced durability and resistance to physical and magical attacks.

Belialthorn studied it in stunned silence. These are all high grade skills that are rare even in Demon City. The system was generous today.

"Abyssal Resilience: Enhanced durability and resistance to physical and magical attacks. Seems like something I might need to complement my Bloodline Trait." Belialthorn wanted something with offensive power and flexibility.

Belialthorn's blue eyes shone as he looked at a particular skill. "Infernal Charm: Compelling and manipulating others through a captivating and persuasive presence."

"This skill doesn't offer great offense unless of coucoursex and above." Belialthorn mused. "But I can have a lot of fun with it, especially with the humans."

One skill caught Belialthorn's eyes. "Hellfire Manipulation: Controlling and unleashing flames imbued with infernal power. It should help my Demonfire skill."

"Choose mortal and stop wasting my time!" The eye roared, and the darkness shuddered.

Belialthorn rolled his eyes. "You said you are not the system."

"Of course, I am not the....." the light narrowed to slit. "Crafty human! How dare you try to trick me! I already said I'm the system."

"I wonder why I don't believe you," Belialthorn muttered. He looked at the skill one more time to be sure then he chose his skills.
