9 Mother in law

Zhen Xiu returned home after purchasing an entirely new set of wardrobe and finalizing her new job as a temporary model in Shen Ya's Entertaining & Modelling company.

Shen Ya has her own modeling agency as well as an entertainment agency. She asked her what she would like to do. Since the evil princess was practically a newbie in this world. She chose to start as a model.

It was easy money as Shen Ya told her.

She would use this time to know more about this world.

Shen Ya dropped her home and left since she doesn't like Lu Jian that much, Shen Ya avoids all the meetings inside the house.

She entered the house in a pretty good mood and wanted to arrange her room so that it will be much easier for her to live her life comfortably. But she saw an old lady commanding the servants. Her behavior looks dignified and elegant. She was probably someone of high-status in this house.

Zoru wanted to smack his new master. She was too gullible and tends to forget things.

[She is your mother-in-law.] said Zoru like she was some dumb chick.

(Oh! That's why she looks familiar.)

She tries to act as she knows her as she doesn't want to make a bad impression on Zoru. She knew it was her mistake to not even recognize her new mother in law but it was not completely her fault. After all, which sane person can remember this old hags that never treats her daughter-in-law well.

(You can't blame me for this.) Zhen Xiu pouted indignantly.

[Master, you seem to forget that I can hear you. Don't pretend like this. You have to be careful about her. She might spoil your plan.]

(Don't worry I had seen all kind of old hags in my previous life. I can totally handle her.) She assured her cute little brat.

"You are finally here. I was thinking that you had lost all your manners while residing in the hospital. As you never even came to pay respect to me after coming home." Madam Lu taunted her in her sarcastic voice.

Zhen Xiu raised an eyebrow at her remark. (Wow! She sure is something. She never came to see me when I was fighting death and yet now that I am able to walk she wants me to go and offer her my blood.)

"Madam Lu I am quite happy to see you here." She too responded in her fake voice.

If this old hag wants to humiliate her then she would not be too polite anymore.

"Really, I can't see the happiness." Mother Lu sneered.

Zhen Xiu gave her a charming smile instead if usually cowering in fear.

"Then you need to check your eyes. You are quite old and if something bad happened to you like blindness, it would be truly terrible."

As the words reached in her ears Mother Lu instantly reacted violently. All her dignity went up in the air and she screamed like a banshee, "Zhen Xiu how dare you? Are you cursing me?"

It was too similar with a roadside beggar. She didn't resemble any high-class elegant lady but a crass woman living on the streets.

(Wow! She is pretty dumb. I never expected this. How can she give birth to that genius man with her dump brain? Lu Jian must be replaced in the hospital.)Zoru snickered in amusement.

His new mistress was too much.

"No, no mother. You got this wrong. I only wish that you may spread peace and love everywhere with your old appearance. As your daughter-in-law, I don't want to disturb you in this goodwill so I should take my leave now." Zhen Xiu used her innocent face while dealing the heavy blow on her mother in law.

"Zhen Xiu. You! Bitch, listen to me."

She could hear her screaming and chuckle at her stupid antics. She was truly old and dumb now. All that elegance was just a coverup. Behind that beautiful face was an ugly banshee.

Zhen Xiu thanked god that she only has to win Lu Jian's love and she would be done with this nonsense otherwise it would be truly hectic if she has to put up with this old hag too.

After setting up her brand new wardrobe inside the closest, she finally wore these new jeans. This was truly nice and gave her the feeling of a warrior. In this completely new set, she liked these jeans and trousers the most. They should invent these things in her era too. It will truly become one of the best things for sale.)

Now she needs to prepare herself for tomorrow's workshop.
