Katherine, the second wife of the emperor Christian De Fasanovia, did everything to make sure that her son would be the emperor. So when her other concubines attacked the crown prince, she closed her eyes. Her only goal was to save her son and for that she wanted him to be emperor, the ultimate power and authority. On the day her husband died, she was more than happy, as the crown prince was already dead and now only her son was left! "Ha! Hahahaha!" she laughed with no warmth in her eyes. Her eerie laughter was so cold that even the lake will freeze because of it.
"I have thought a person can learn the lesson after being hurt a few times but i think there are few who never wanted to learn." the man lowered his head further with embarrassment.
He had thought this was a chance to mend his relationship with her but it did not seem to be the case.
"You can leave early for today, the kids are going out to the ball of duchess with me. So, they need time to get ready." she declared and he bowed again.
He was too ashamed to ask about the invitation to the dinner again when she halted,
"One more thing, I am glad that you are able to meet your kids again but do not forget that if you will let them be like their mother, there will be one more Katherine standing in front of your eyes soon."
