Chapter 6

"Are you awake, young master Adrian?" 

"I am, Julie. I'm not hungry yet. I'll go eat later." 

"you are needed outside, young master. You have guests waiting." 

"Okay." Adrian relied, came out and saw a very beautiful woman named Julie. Although she wore a maids attire but the poor wear could not hide the delicious body behind it. 

Adrian and Julie arrived at a huge room full of people. At the center was Adrian's parents and a group of cultivators from another family. 

"Sophia!" Adrian called happily and practically run to hug the most beautiful young woman in the room.

"please observe propriety, young master Adrian." An old woman blocked our mcs way. 

"senior Dorothy?" Adrian was shocked at this time. Gone was the kind and doting old cultivator and what replaced her was something he could not recognize anymore. 

"My young lady is not someone you can easily touch anymore." Senior Dorothy said these cryptic words instead. Adrian looked at his father in confusion.

"my son, your fiancée and her family has come here to break your marriage engagement." Adrian's father said and although his voice was calm, a deep frown on his forehead marked his anger at the event. 

"no this can't be real . Tell me, Sophia. This is just a prank right? Hahaha. You got me, please tell me this isn't real." Adrian laughed awkwardly as he held on to the last straw of hope that he had. 

"I'm sorry. They found out that I have an immortal dao bone. You and I cannot be together anymore." Sophia said as tears fell from her eyes. 

"no. This isn't real." Adrian whispered in shock as tears also were free falling in his eyes. He was just a normal mortal and could not cultivate. He can't accept to see his fiancée gone. The events passed in a flash and Adrian felt like a zombie all through out. He went back to his room in a daze. It was only when the door closed when he showed a happy smile.

"hmmm… my acting skills are still flawless as ever."
