Blood Bath

Ban's face showed up in the newspaper a month after his escape. The Verdant Gloria Sect determined he'd been kidnapped by wolves, and put a prize on finding his remains. This was what they did with all people that escaped, and it gave them a reason to kill him on sight.

Ban realized this after years of listening to the doctors drain his body every morning. He wasn't the first kid that escaped, but was the only one that had taken longer then a month to find. Sometimes, hiding in a place close to home is a wise decision. Ban never suffered from being an idiot, and played games in his mind to increase his intelligence. Even when he was frozen, he was always training by visualizing, and working on hundreds of plans.

He developed a photographic memories after years of having the same routine every morning. First, he'd visualize combat drills and then visualize himself meditating. Though his body wasn't able to move, it was the reason he was able to run quick enough when he got out of his coma to make it to the Blood Mill.

The Blood Mill was a place that Vile Cultivators used to ferment blood before they turned them into pills. It was underground and was called a Blood Mill because the blood vats had to be spun for a year before they could be turned into pills.

These pills were then sold on the blood market, but before that the blood had to be kept in the dark with little oxygen in order so that it didn't spoil and so that the spiritual components of it grew more potent. It was also the one place no one would look for Banish. He took a three months supply of oxygen tanks with him and remained hidden. The blood was rich with spiritual energy and made him stronger even without him having to move.

All he had to due was cultivate the blood mantra he remembered a doctor chanting one day when he cultivated and worked at the same time. The Blood Mantra was a secret of the Verdant Gloria Sect but most doctors didn't consider their 'outer sect' disciples as able breach their secrets.

Ban used this to his advantage for the last month as he cultivated the blood mantra in the low oxygen environment. If you listened carefully, you could hear his bated breaths as he sat in a mixture of his and thousands of other sect disciples blood. The blood was rich in spiritual energy since it was oxygenated and only the spiritual cells remained which strengthened his body.

Spiritual cells were like blood cells that came from a hidden organ in the body called the spiritual organ. When the Verdant Gloria Sect went to orphanages, they always gave blood tests to children with the excuse of trying to find their parents. Ban's father had been killed by a truck, so they didn't use that excuse for his blood. Instead, he got bit by one of the dogs owned by the Verdant Gloria Sect on the day they visited the orphanage.

These schemes had welled up inside of him and made him develop a harsh outlook on life. Once he ran out of oxygen, he could tell his body would be strong enough to truly escape. All that he had in his mind was thoughts of revenge, and every single moment of his existence was put to how he'd kill the doctors, staff, and others who made the Verdant Gloria Sect possible.

"In one more week, I'll be strong enough to escape... In one more week, I'll get my first taste of blood... In one more week, I'll find out what the doctors sealed in the ground outside of the sect... In one more week, I'll find the first person to unleash my fury on..."
