Was It A Confession?

"My lady, what are you doing so early in the morning in the library?" After coming out from her father's room, instead of going and taking a bath and getting ready, Ren walked straight to the library and since then she was rummaging through the book as if she was looking for a special one. 

Penny tried to ask a few times but she was blatantly ignored and now it was her turn of luck to be ignored.

Ren did not pay any attention to them since she knew it would be nothing but questionnaires. 

She could still remember vividly how cold the eyes of her father were! He was pissed that she had asked for the freedom to take the decision of her marriage.

It was still in the hands of their father whom they wanted to marry their kids no matter whether it was a man or a woman.

Kids, especially women, did not exist without their parents or spouse since they could not have property on their names or inherit the title.
