Mockery

Renee blinked but her eyes were filled with a bright light of curiosity and anticipation as she nodded her head.

"Then.. I want to have a book about the basic spells that can help me in honing my skills." she said with an excited look and then looked around.

"Whoaa!" her eyes widened when she noticed five books flying towards her and ended up in front of her and slowly fell on the table.

"This should be enough for now. Start with any of them." he said as she picked up one of them and opened it.

The book had a different kind of language but surprisingly she was able to read it without any difficulty.

"Why don't you start with one of the spells? If you do not practice it, how will you know that it is working or not?" he asked when she did not raise her head but kept reading the book.

"In the library? What if I made a mistake?" worry could be seen clear in her eyes when she smiled as if he was trying to assure her.
