6 See The Light III

Looking at his little child in this extreme state, the king has no idea what to do. He began to toss and turn round the room in a confused manner that was so unlike him. He walked back and forth and there was no one to call as he had already sent everyone.

Realizing what the queen always did when he had a fever, he walked in long strides to the bathroom got a clean towel, and chilled water. He dipped the towel into the water and when it was soaked, he squeezed it and then placed it on the little Titan's head which was burning up.

The queen on the other hand was fast approaching the little Titan's window. She used to be a warrior before she got married so these things were quite easy for her. It was her stubborn attitude that attracted the king.

The first time he saw her was when he went to war against the cheetah clan with his father; which happened to be where she came from. Prince Zhelang at the time was enchanted by her from the very first time his gaze landed on her; that beautiful petite figure who wielded a sword and was dressed in a war suit with a bow and a quiver filled with arrows at her back. You could call it love at first sight. Princess Mica at the time was only Fourteen but was one of the best swordsmen in the cheetah clan. She was skilled in archery, swordsmanship, and even 'wushu'. Her speed and agility could not be compared to anyone. She was the true definition of what her clan signified. 'Cheetah clan.'

When they were at war, she saved him or better still, took him as her hostage. He was blinded by her charisma and just let her do whatever she wanted even though he knew fighting her was piece of cake for him. Let's just say, he became a fool for love.

The war lasted for two days and when others were fighting, she was nowhere to be found and neither was the young prince Zhelang. In those two days, she grew fond of him and from being her hostage, he became a friend or so she thought.

She found herself blushing whenever his cute smile came to her sight and had butterflies in her stomach whenever their hands touched.

Literarily, she was falling in love when her clan was on the battlefield.

Alas, the war ended in dialogue because the stubborn princess was in love with the gentle, handsome prince.

Back to the present. At the forest.

When the soldiers woke up, they began to ready their horses. They had been instructed to carry out a thorough search for the boy in the wood by the commander.

The commander walked behind the rock to take his gloves from where he had dropped them the night before. When he got there and found that his gloves were burnt, he narrowed his gaze in astonishment then, squatted in front of the glove when all of a sudden one of the soldiers hurriedly walked up to him.

Fazed by what he had seen, the soldier could barely construct a proper sentence. "Commander! You... We... You have to see this."

The soldier leads commander Julius to the spot where the viper's remnant is laid. Once they got there, the commander was stupefied. Not only was the remnant of the giant viper gone but mighty trees were already rooted at the spot.

He turned to the soldier then back to the tall mystic trees and then back to the soldier again. Confusion clear in his eyes.

"Is this..... Is there... How did...." In puzzlement, he shuddered awkwardly moving his hands as if asking how it happened but the words were not coming.

Noticing his bewilderment, the soldier spared him the long talk and answered his unasked question. "It was like that when we woke up this morning sir."

The commander nodded and looked at the trees once more trying to conceal his fright before turning to face the soldier and exasperated "Gathered everyone we must search this woods thoroughly. When you find that boy, bring him to me alive. He boomed the last sentence.

In the pit, before Zagan woke up in the morning, the beautiful, glittering dust particles were gone. When he woke up, he had a slight headache. He was surprised to see his healthy condition because back at the castle, the slightest cold his body was exposed to would result in a terrible fever; one that required Leah's special remedy.

He rubbed his temples and sighed that was the best sleep he had ever had. He looked up and wondered how he'd been able to get out of the well which was like three hundred and twenty feet tall. With much effort, he began to climb up the well, and before getting to the middle of the well, he fell back in. He tried multiple times but all of those were to no avail. Groaning in anger, he sat on the ground with his legs to his chest and his face down. He felt like crying out of frustration. 'Why did this have to happen to him?'

Still having his head bowed, he heard the sound of dripping water from the side of the well. Looking in that direction, he realized that the well was in an 'L' shape. He had been there for a whole day and a night; how's it possible that he didn't see it. He became optimistic and began to crawl through that part. He crawled for hours but had no idea where he was headed; subsequently, he began to slow down. Having not eaten for a whole day and night, his strength began to fail him and his legs became weak, but he kept pushing forward.

He got to a spot and decided to take a rest but as he closed his eyes, the images of Leah flashed through his brain which made him jolt back up. Leah was the only one who cared for him and was the only one who made him feel loved. She served as his energy booster. It's no wonder she's the only one he thinks about. As he began to crawl again, he saw a dime light; his ray of hope! He was ecstatic and began to crawl towards the light with all his strength as fast as he could.

As he approached the light, he heard the chattering sound of people, the crying sound of babies, and the rattling sound of carriages.

'Where am I?' He wondered.
