15 Doom's Day

As master Shi De was about to leave, Zagan held his hand with closed eyes but although his eyes were closed, it was easy to tell that there was fear and doubt on his face. He took a piece of paper and wrote EREBUS.

They master was unsure of what he was talking about. There was only one Erebus. When this dawned on him, he stared at Zagan with wide eyes. So this was why he was scared. He looked at Zagan for a few seconds, then patted him on the shoulders saying ' no need to worry... if this was Erebus, we would all be dead already before noticing any disturbance.' pulling out a badge, he placed it in Zagan's hands.

"If things get worse, I'd like you to use the secret doorway I told you about. There would be a portal there make sure you enter into it and run as fast as you can."

It was time for the monk to leave but Zagan still held onto his sleeves tightly before slowly reducing his grip.

The monk walked out of the room hurriedly and locked the door to his room without hesitation. The sight in front of the monk was unbelievable. It was not Erebus... but how did this hideous creature locate them. There was an outer shield and formation arrays which was holding the creature at bay, preventing it from penetrating but that shield was definitely not going to last long.

The creature had a rough scaly skin showing it muscles and bones, its tail was the size of a fully grown anaconda, It had fangs and claws, It's face was as horrendous as a humongous reptail with shrieked flesh revealing only its skull covered in thin scale. It had two pairs of gigantic legs and hands; and when its mouth opened, it spat eye blinding fire. Its wing were gigantic looking almost like a thick blanket and Its eyes as red as wild fire.

"Lu Feng gather all the disciples here with the highest level of cultivation. I will be needing all of you at this spot." he said expressionlessly.

Lu Feng was even more worried now it was obvious that the master knew nothing about what they were up against. Noticing that he didn't move and inch, master Shi De turned to look at him sternly.

"Um.... Um master," he could feel his palms getting sweaty as he hesitantly spoke. "speak! We don't have all day." the old monk boomed.

"Um.... Master the issue is bigger than it seems. There is another one at the other side of the temple." Hearing this, the master's face finally revealed fear. There was no way they could deal with two creatures at once. And the shield was already about to break.

He sighed heavily. "We must protect the Shaolin temple no matter what happens." Lu Feng nodded and went to the other side to get alittle re-enforcement.

** At the other side of the Shaolin temple, young disciples in their twenties could be seen battling to keep the shield up. Lu Feng spoke to some of them, telling them that another creature was at the front and the master needed re-enforcement. But suddenly, the creature stopped hitting the sheild and went with great speed towards the direction of the other creature. Noticing this, the disciples ran as fast as their legs could take them but the creature beat them to it.

Before the disciples could get to the spot, the two creatures stood in front of the shield and breathed fire out of their mouths causing the shield to finally break. 'Doom's day.'

Now that the two creature gained full access into the temple, they began to wreck havoc in the temple. With thunderous steps, they both matched in.

The monks were frightened but they didn't let their guard down. The started performing seals with their fingers; raising up boulders very large it could grind the creatures body parts, bringing forth water that could sweep the entire hall because of course water is a fire-creature's worst enemy. Or so they thought.

Attacking both creatures simultaneously, the creatures did not act as if they were being hit at all. Instead, the two creatures opened their mouths and many tiny replica of theselves began to come forth. As the saying goes, small creatures are mighty.

The disciples had to divert their attention now that there were too many creatures to deal with. Indeed these tiny creatures were more destructive and fast. Stopping them was almost impossible. The monks had tried their best but it wasn't enough. They began to make shields for themselves, soon it became every individual for themselves.

Lu Feng and master Shi De concentrated on the two gigantic reptile like creature. They put up a good fight but it wasn't enough and soon, one of the creatures slashed Lu Feng across his stomach diverting master Shirt De's attention. The cut was so deep anyone could see his inner organs. As Lu Feng fell to the ground, master Shi De lost all his calmness and began to multiple his strength but suddenly few seconds later, thunderous rain began to fall.

Zagan stood behind the door and peeped through a tiny opening. He saw the unexpected, people controlling water and rocks. How's that even possible? When he first heard about a portal, he thought the monk was talking about a tunnel or any passage like the one he saw in the Lynx dungeon. He never thought he'd actually mean a real portal. He saw people making protective shields and it was truly amazing but this wasn't the time to admire it. He was literarily panicking and at the same time, astonished.

He looked through the tiny hole for a long time and when he was about to straighten his neck, he saw Lu Feng fall to the ground. His eyes widened and his jaw dropped. Images of the time he spent with Lu Feng flashed in his eyes like lightening. Though they had not really gotten along much, this was still sorrowful for him. He remembered the scream of leah when the Lynx clan caught up with them and the thought of loosing anymore people became unbearable for him. How on earth did his peaceful life become like this. He moved backwards, placed his hands on his chest as if trying to calm his heart which was beating erratically and trying to restrict himself from being overwhelmed by the the mixed emotions he was feeling but the more he tried to clam himself, the more he was overpowered by he's emotions. He was feeling grief, fear, anxiety and confusion all at the same time. He stumbled backwards and sat on the floor as drops of tears rolled down his eyes. In his anguish and frustration, he wail so loud that the entire temple vibrated and the shockwave from is sound was so ear piercing that the walls surrounding him exploded and every living being within range was disoriented. For the first time, Zagan's voice was heard.

## Back at the Lynx clan palace, the king had a banquet because of the wonderful news he had heard but didn't reveal the reason for this banquet. He was seated at the upper part of the hall with a table before himself, his wife and Titan. They gracefully ate their meal.

He had only invited a few ministers over for the banquet. Of course, this was not a feast or a get together where he would inform the entire clan. This was just a simple banquet, just as queen Mica wanted it.

Titan looked trouble the whole time. He didn't even take a single bite of his food. Ever since he woke from his three days slumber, he had been acting differently. Sometimes sweet, sometimes distant, sometimes distressed and other times, he just wanted to be alone.

The king noticed this and nudged him. "What's wrong child? Something's bothering you?."

Titan looked up at him with a worried expression which made the king scared a bit. What could have happened to him? Is he scared of having a sibling? Although Titan was not the type to act out because of these simple issues, that was the only thing he could think about.

Again, he nudged the little distressed child by his side and said while using his fingers to comb through Titan's long hair. "its okay to have a junior sibling you know? My love for you is priceless and your mother's love for you is eternal."

Titan looked up with his puzzled face. Apparently this wasn't his problem and this got the king even more confused. If not this, then what could possibly be bothering this child.

"If not that, then what is bothering you?" The king asked baffled. With much hesitation, Titan placed his hands under the table and signed, "ITS TIME TO TELL THEM."
