Chapter 12: I Can't Let You Go Yet
Ransom was enjoying hearing about Leena, and he hungered to know more. He was aware that it was getting later and later, and he needed to let her get back to her life soon, but he just couldn’t bring himself to say goodbye just yet.
He liked the way she twirled the bits of her hair that had fallen loose from her ponytail as she spoke about her chinchilla named Bean. She was so cute when she gave too much information because she felt awkward and didn’t know what else to do. If it hadn’t been for her, he might have never learned what shape chinchilla poop was. Most of what she said was useless information, but he clung to every word that slipped out of Leena’s perfect lips.
