Everyone Wants To Go To Heaven

God was bored of humans. Bored of watching them while doing nothing. They had nothing going for them in life so it was time to end them all. But not without having some fun. The worthy humans would be sent to heaven to watch as chaos unfolded on Earth. The ones left behind had to fight off demons and monsters to survive. But these valiant humans could win a chance to come to Heaven as well. All they had to do was accumulate 10,000,000 points in the system. All of this would be one fun game. Except Athan thought this was all really dumb. However, he needed to get to heaven as soon as possible. His favorite web novel author was up there!

Golem Master Part 1

Athan shot a blast of magic at the golem obliterating it's arm. The monster screeched out in anguish yet again. At this rate, Athan would go deaf before they found the Golem Master.

Finding a Golem Master in a dungeon would not be easy, but it wasn't impossible. The Golem Master couldn't be too far away from the golem or else the golem would deform. Leading the golem away from the Golem Master wasn't a bad idea, but they wouldn't get any points and whenever the Golem Master caught up to them again they'd be in trouble.

The golem took its giant fist and swung it down over Athan's head at an alarming rate. Athan quickly teleported a few inches to the side, the fist barely missing him by a hair. He pointed his Dreamkiss wand at the golem again and blasted its other arm off.

{Dreamkiss wand Energy Level: 0. Please recharge before using again}

Eh? This thing was already out of juice?

Damian came from above and chopped the golem's head off causing it to disintegrate into a pile of dirt again.

"We can't keep doing this." Ghost said. "We're wasting time and we'll run out of energy soon."

"I can keep going!" Damian said.

"My wand is out of energy," Athan said shoving the wand back into his pocket. "Daggers and talisman won't do much against this thing."

"Any sign of the Golem Master?" Ghost said to Hybrid.

Hybrid's triangular glasses hummed with magic energy as she peered into the darkness. She turned back to them with a frown.

"There's nothing over here. We have to keep looking."

[EbonthornVictory: It was going to end up like this even if they hadn't destroyed the golem so recklessly. They were just unfortunate to run into a golem without a Golem Master.]

[vixy: i believe in them]

[l3X1: How long are they gonna fight this golem? I'm going to a different stream]

[Impulse#1: Leave then! We don't want you here!]

"Worst case scenario we have to use your staff, Damian." Ghost said. "But the goal is for us to defeat this golem before we camp out for the night."

"Let's keep walking," Lucille said. "Hybrid which way should we go?"

"I can't predict where the Golem Master is. We just have to guess."

"Then let's go down that dark scary hallway!" Damian said with a grin. "There are bound to be a lot of scary things down there!"

"You want us to run into more monsters? Are you trying to get us killed?"

"This Golem Master would lurk amongst other monsters! It wants us to be worn down before we reach it! Little does it know we are the real deal! We won't be worn down even by this relentless golem! We're going to defeat it soon! That Golem Master doesn't know what's coming for it!"

Damian shined with bravado. He was a real weirdo.

"Someday your optimism will get you killed..." Athan muttered.

[Impulse#1: Don't say that (╥﹏╥)]

[Impulse#5: He'll be just fine! Impulse has a reason for having so much confidence]

[Impulse#13: Athan leave now]

[juliasmiles: Calm down he's just joking]

[Damian's wife (real): What kind of friend says things like that (╬≖_≖)]

"Eh! Athan are you worried about me? I promise you I won't die." Damian whined.

Who was worried about this idiot???

He shook Athan's shoulders violently making Athan's brain rattle. Another habit Damian couldn't seem to get rid of. After all these years, Athan's head was made of steel.

"Enough." Ghost said saving Athan. "Let's go down the hall Damian suggested. He might be correct about the Golem Master hiding amongst the other monsters."

The dirt behind them started to shift again. Athan gritted his teeth. The golem seemed to regenerate faster every time. And he had nothing that could help them anymore. They'd never find the Golem Master at this rate.

Ghost unsheathed his sword again settling into a fighting stance.

"We can't keep going like this." He said. "Lucille, Hybrid, Athan. Go look for the Golem Master. Damian and I will hold off this golem until then."

"But-" Lucille said worry filling her eyes.

"No buts. Go! NOW."

"Come on we have our orders," Hybrid said pulling Lucille. "Don't worry about them they can hold their own."

"If we don't find the Golem Master we're all screwed anyway," Athan said heading down the direction Damian pointed out.

Lucille reluctantly followed them looking behind at Damian and Ghost clashing with the golem.

[Impulse#1: NOOOOO leave the camera with Impulse.]

[Damian's wife (real): We want to watch Damian!!!!]

[Impulse#3: Damian will be alright...]

[EbonthornVictory: The team split up....]

[Lucian_is_real: Lucille looked so sad leaving Damian behind (˃̣̣̥ヘ˂̣̣̥)]

[vixy: hope they can come back soon]

The trio ran down the hall with Hybrid leading them. Leaving Ghost and Damian behind was a gamble. Even if they found the Golem Master there was no guarantee that they'd reunite. Dungeons were hard to navigate and easy to get lost in.

Athan hoped those two knew what they were doing. He didn't need things to get complicated.

Hybrid abruptly stopped in her tracks. She put her hand up in the air signalling for them to wait.

"There's two rooms over here. I can't see what's in them, but there are definitely monsters."

"Any chance any of them are the Golem Master?" Athan asked.

"How am I supposed to know?" Hybrid replied. "Go look."

Athan frowned at her. What was up with this kid? He didn't remember having such a bad attitude when he was her age.

Athan stepped inside the room slowly, only the glowing pink color from the camera lighting his way.

[vixy: this is so scary I can't look]

[EbonthornVictory: They're really fearless...]

[juliasmiles: Imagine the Golem Master isn't in there]

Chills ran down Athan's spine as the room temperature dropped. He couldn't see the monster in the room, but he already had enough information to know what it was.

"It's a Nightmirage." He whispered.

Athan hadn't run into many Nightmirages and for good reason. They preferred cold rooms and they were completely passive in the dark. But when it was exposed to light it became a terrifying creature that stopped at nothing until its enemies were killed. It was too fast. Too big and entirely too strong.

"As long as we don't provoke it we'll be fine. Let's just back out."

Just as the words escaped his mouth a bright light filled the room blinding them. Hybrid yelped at the sudden attack and Athan squinted to see where the light came from.

A bright ring floated in the air illuminating the entire enclosure. Athan scowled. A halo. The angels were making things difficult for them, but right now he couldn't worry about them.

The entire room was a pit. The floor was covered in bones and blood splatter.

[vixy: surely those aren't real...]

[wewerealive: 100% cosmetic... there's no way it's real]

[EbonthornVictory: ヽ(O_O )ノ]

In the corner of the room, the Nightmirage woke up from its slumber. The creature was as large as a wardrobe and pulled itself across the ground. Its blistery skin looked melted onto its gibbous muscles. Its body appeared to be covered in a slippery oil. Two grotesque arms sprouted from its back like wings. Its face was bloated and bulbous. Its mouth gaped open with rows of saw-like teeth and a long black tongue.

Athan turned back, but the door they had entered from disappeared. Angels interfering again. Athan guessed they needed more entertainment. Cameras sat in the perimeter of the room. Athan could almost hear the viewers from heaven chattering excitedly.

[foxy108: This is so exciting!]

[mark127: So these are the unlucky guys who have to fight this thing.]

[pokoloko: That's a child! Eris don't you think this is too much]

[redfur: FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT]

"Is there any way we can beat this thing..." Lucille asked apprehensively.

"The best plan of action when encountering Nightmirages is to eliminate all sources of light."

"But we can't touch the halo or destroy the cameras," Hybrid said.

She was right. If they destroyed the cameras they'd lose points. And humans couldn't touch halos. They were going to have to fight their way out.

The monster released a blood-curdling roar and lunged right at them.

I ended this chapter almost exactly the same as the last one... sorry. But as you can see from the 'Part 1' I wasn't exactly planning on ending the chapter like this. Please comment, these chapters feel so empty ╥﹏╥
