Day 8

"M-Mum never s-said…" I stutter helplessly at the person who, by some surprise, is my blood brother.

"Mum never said doesn't mean it's not real. I am who I am bro. Your bro and bro I shall be to infinity and beyond…Anyway, shouldn't you be off? I thought this was important to you…or that's what I thought…"

I tilt my head to my phone and my eyes expand rapidly. It's 10:49 AM! There is no way I will make it in time now.

"Hmm…though it's not that far. It's just across the road from here." His hand points to the window opposite us and I speed to the glass, zooming my eyes over the road to…the building.

"Thank you so much, um Sujin, for everything. I'm going to go now." I skip to the door. "Bye!"

Slamming the door behind me, I run down the disinfected stairs, the neatly decorated hallway, another set of stairs and out the door to freedom!

The air smells so fresh, so clean, so perfectly fine that I almost lose my composure and fall. Shaking my head, I speed walked to my destination: The College.
