Chapter 19 The unfolding
Standing outside a gallery in the middle of the road stood a young man lost in his thoughts as he imagined how he will hand over the flower to his heartthrob
Hey you get out of the way shouted an approaching rider, you dumb bastard are you trying to get killed because I can help you .
Alaric woken up from his thoughts stumbles out of the way and curses back you grumpy fool can't you be a bit nicer can't you see I have important things to worry about.forget it even if you came face to face with greatness you won't recognize it that's why I am an alchemist and your a measly delivery man
He summons his courage and steps into the gallery where the intricate and enchanting works of aria are displayed one more magnificent than the other. His newly found courage and pride quickly dies away the closer he gets to aria who was placing her latest work for display which turned out to be a painting of him so expertly painted he looked bigger than life. His dwindling moral receives a boost then Allaric approached Aria Sunweaver with a warm smile. "Aria, would you care for a gentle evening stroll with me? The night is beautiful, and I'd love to get to know you better."Aria's eyes sparkled, and she smiled in return. "That sounds lovely, Alaric. I'd be delighted." Is that flower in your hand for me she asked.oh yes here you go how could he forget he thought to himself.Thank you so aren't you going to take my hands didn't your mom teach you how to take care of a lady.he sighs in front of aria he is always at the losing end .what are you waiting for she asked.sorry he said.he then takes her hand and they start walking are you always shy she asked.no I am usually not,you are the one making me shy with your beauty. hihihi I didn't know you could be this cute Alaric, aria said
Hand in hand, they walked along the moonlit paths of Lunar City, the soft glow of lanterns illuminating their way. The night was alive with a gentle breeze and the soft whispers of leaves in the trees.
"Alaric, you have a way with alchemy and potions," Aria began. "Tell me, what inspired you to become an alchemist?"
Alaric took a moment to gather his thoughts, the moonlight reflecting in his thoughtful eyes. "Alchemy, for me, is a blend of art and science. It's about discovering the hidden magic in everyday ingredients and creating something extraordinary. My fascination began as a child, mixing concoctions in my family's kitchen, and it evolved into a lifelong passion."
Aria listened attentively, captivated by his words. "It's wonderful how a childhood fascination can shape our destinies."
As they strolled, they soon found themselves passing by a quaint park. The laughter of children playing and the gentle rustling of leaves added to the magical atmosphere.
"Look, Aria," Alaric pointed, "there's Glimmering Brews' playful assistant, Hendrix, and his adorable feline companion, Snow."
Indeed, Hendrix was engaged in a playful game of chase with Snow. Old Lark, the new deputy manager of Glimmering Brews, was trying to prepare them for the Gala, but the mischievous duo seemed to have other plans.
Hendrix laughed as he skillfully evaded Old Lark's attempts to capture him. "You'll have to be quicker than that, Grandpa Old Lark!"
Old Lark chuckled, good-naturedly. "You're a clever one, Hendrix. But we need to get you and Snow ready for the Gala. It's a grand event!"
Meanwhile, Snow, the playful feline, effortlessly maneuvered around Old Lark, seemingly enjoying the playful chase.
Alaric grinned, enchanted by the scene. "They certainly know how to make preparations entertaining."
Aria giggled, "Indeed, they do. The spirit of the Gala seems to have touched everyone in Lunar City."
Inspired by their playful surroundings, Alaric summoned a soft, shimmering light that danced around them, creating an enchanting ambiance.
"Let's add a touch of magic to our stroll," Alaric suggested, the shimmering light reflecting in Aria's eyes.
Aria twirled, her laughter filling the air as she interacted with the shimmering light. "Oh, this is delightful! Your magic is truly wonderful, Alaric."
Alaric smiled, appreciating the genuine joy in her eyes. "You bring out the magic in everything, Aria."
As their delightful stroll continued, Alaric found the courage to broach a more heartfelt subject. "Aria, the Moonlight Gala is a night of enchantment and companionship. Would you do me the honor of accompanying me to the Gala?"
Aria's face lit up with joy, and her heart fluttered with happiness. "Alaric, I would be honored to attend the Gala with you. It's a magical opportunity, and sharing it with you would make it even more special."Alaric felt a rush of happiness at her acceptance.Alaric not expecting it to be that easy was shocked with his mouth agape, but recovers quickly and responds quickly.. "I'm thrilled to hear that, Aria. The Gala is sure to be an unforgettable night."
As the evening progressed, and their delightful stroll came to an end, Alaric works aria to her house and helps her hold her bag and flower while she opens the door waiting and hoping for a goodbye kiss .she opens the door with her keys turns around while walking teasingly towards him the quickly collects her bags and flower and turns around and thank him. She walks into the house and then pops her head back out and says goodbye or are you waiting for someone else. No, I was just about to go. He turns and walks away while shaking his head .Then he quickly rushes off to prepare for the gala, eager for the enchanting night that awaited them at the Moonlight Gala.
Meanwhile, back at Glimmering Brews, Hendrix and Snow had finally been coaxed into getting ready for the Gala. Old Lark chuckled at their antics, though completely stressed by it is grateful for their playful energy. The joy of youth when he was younger he had very strict parents he shuddered at the thought of it.
"There you go, my mischievous friends. All spiffed up and ready for the Gala," Old Lark said, a twinkle of amusement in his eyes.he had dressed Snow up with a bowtie that matched the color of his eyes and Hendrix in a clown suit because of all the trouble he has been causing him.
Hendrix grinned, "We had to keep you on your toes, Grandpa Lark. We are ready, let's go already. I want to sit on the horse this time, and I want ice cream, sweets and rainbows and ...
